Ultimate Doom Walkthrough - E4M2: Perfect Hatred

Here is the second level of Thy Flesh Consumed. This level is much more difficult than the previous level due to there being tons of barons and cacodemons along with the lava floor all over the place! Save the plasma gun for the barons and cacodemons, use your shotgun on the smaller enemies like the imps and demons (unless you're me and just use it everywhere regardless)! This level also contains the secret exit to E4M9. Teleport into where the cyberdemon is, which you will telefrag and kill instantly (yay!), and take out any cacodemon's up there as well. After they are all dead, lower the platform where you teleported in and fall down into the lava floor to enter a secret passage that lowered with the platform to go to the secret level of this episode.

@@Devilot91 not only this map, during Doom's development Romero would literally finish a map in less than 1 day, which is absurd considering how complex the levels in doom are.

William Van Parys you have to hold the Sprint button, on controller that would be LT, or L2 depending on controller.

You mean strafe running? Simple mate, basically u just need to hold forward+strafe at the same time and match with where u want to go

Hold run/speed and move across facing diagonally. You might have to practise it a bit but you'll get there eventually.

That's right I used the wrong verb. I mean how he did it without falling down, because I keep trying multiple times pressing A & D and moving the visual to accelerate.

Doom has a button to run faster (and also turn the camera faster if you're using keyboard/controller, doesn't affect mouse speed tho)
