LOL! I feel Joe's struggle. It's so hard to tell scale when building in the Sims. I've built several houses that I thought were normal-sized until I got a Sim in them and realized they were massive.

Sometimes I make the shape of the house and put a few things in it, just to see the size before getting too detailed. Then you can adjust it before thinking later you need it to be smaller or bigger and it being a nightmare to change.

Here's an idea: an architect reviews a house built by a simmer.
There are tons of amazing houses in the sims gallery. It's kinda frustrating to see someone who is not familiar with the sims tries to build a house, even if he's an architect. 😅

I don't know if it's because he has built a house before in the sims so they don't think they need to guide him. Equally frustrating as this video, but he was by himself with no one to guide him.

To be fair, most tiny homes are very much like boxes, or rectangles usually, because of the trailer they are built on. Tiny homes usually have restrictions on size because many of them are designed to be mobile, so they have to fit on the road and under bridges, etc. Aside from that, he was not at all familiar with The Sims 4, or its build tools. Most people who are brand new do tend to make very boxy houses starting out, because they don't know all the keybinds and tricks to make things fit just so.

I just don't get why everyone thinks roofs are difficult in TS4, you can do so much with them and when you duplicate and pull in the overhang of the duplicated roof you can seamlessly integrate a porch roof into an existing roof.
