I purchased an i3 9-years ago and it’s the best car I’ve ever had. Battery degradation at this time is about 10%. I drive about 700 miles a month, my electricity costs are $16. This car is a very capable city car.
The i3 was discontinued to meet changing consumer demands, and focus on models like the i4 and iX that better fit BMWs existing lineup. If you really wanted to, by a Corolla Hybrid. There is really no reason not to get the hybrid alternative.
The IONIQ EV line 2021 and prior, only have push to start capabilities. All push to start vehicles need the key in the vehicle to start it. So no, you can’t use the USB method because there is no key ignition/

Hyundai Kona or Kia Niro EV are by far the best choices under 25k.
As a Chevrolet Bolt EV driver I would choose the Hyundai Ioniq 6.
all super mid looking. the BMW is straight up ugly.
There’s a big reason why the BMW i3 was discontinued. Don’t waste your money. Buy a Toyota Corolla with a gas engine.
