The Incredibles is my absolute favorite Pixar film! This is everything that’s great about Pixar put into one movie! It’s got exciting action, likable characters, excellent villain, awesome dialogue, and a great amount of heart! Syndrome is actually a villain with a sad and understandable motivation! There isn’t a single thing I didn’t like about it. Even though they’re superheroes, they still feel like a real family.
@@omarvazquez4075 Yeah, I was gonna say. Nothing about it was sad and he literally set about the events that ended the age of heroes before becoming a serial killer of said heroes. Syndrome as a person was a monster, would watch him get blended in a turbine again.
@omarvazquez4075 Syndrome’s has an understandable motivation in my opinion because he had a personal connection with Mr. Incredible. He was his number one fan but later on decided to get revenge on him after being shunned. It makes us understand his motivation and we can kind of see where he’s coming from.
i legit spent this entire video reciting 92% of the lines/actions of this movie-it’s legit one of my top movies as a kid and it still reigns supreme as an adult
My dad isn’t usually into animated or fantastical movies. He likes them live action and grounded in reality. He watched The Incredibles in the theater with us when it came out, and got sucked in. At the end of the Dash chase scene, he said, “I forgot I was watching an animated movie. That was so good.”
I find it hilarious that after this movie, literally any character hero design with a cape was scrapped cause all anyone can remember is Edna’s montage of how stupid they are, and since then it’s become fact 🤣🤣😭
Its oddly wholesome(?) how Syndrome wasn't even mad that Mr.Incredible/Bob managed to destroy the Omnidroid even after its been thrown against so many supes, faked his death and snuck into his island base. He instead *gushes* about it like a little kid, probably 100% vindicated in having idolised Mr.Incredible.
Personally I couldn’t care less whether it’s your first time watching a movie or you wanted to rewatch your favorite movie that you’ve seen a million times. What makes me wanna watch your vids is based on which movie it is and how much fun you’re having watching it. And Mell, you always seem to be having a blast watching these awesome movies from our childhood, so I’m gonna be down to rewatch them with you, brother.
The way you mouthed so many lines, I relate. This is childhood. we remember so much from what we've seen as youngsters or teens, great iconic pixar film! We want More!!
FUN (maybe not so fun) FACT! 26:37 there was a deleted scene where elastigirl wasn’t the one flying the plane and it was her friend and her friend went down with the plane but Disney thought that would be too dark
They didn't think it would be too dark, there's way darker stuff in the film. They removed his character because they wanted to give Helen control over the situation. This is her family and it's far more compelling watching her fly the plane than some random guy we just met
My fav pixar film of all time! An animated classic imo!!!! Michael Giacchino’s score goes so hard!!!!! Edit: My Top 5 Pixar Favs 1. The Incredibles 2. Ratatouille 3. Toy Story 2 4. Toy Story 5. Wall•E
If you hadn't watched a bootleg you would have seen "Jack-Jack Attack". A short that shows what happened while Jack-Jack is being babysat. Great short.
I never noticed as a kid this is supposed to be set in the 1960's. That means the opening was in the 40's or 50's, when superhero comics were first taking off.
The incredibles is my favorite Pixar film ever. When I first watched it as a kid I thought it was great for the action. But now as a teenager who’s planning on becoming a director, it’s great for the action, the story, the characters, and the soundtrack. Best Pixar movie ever in my opinion.
Mell, I'm one of those who doesn't care if you've seen a movie before and know it. There are certain movies that I have seen thousands of times and still love them! You do you, and I'm with you, especially when it comes to The Incredibles.
Great reaction, lots of fun! When we are adults and rewatch something from our childhood, it reveals different things. The jet's call sign, India Golf niner niner, is a reference to Iron Giant (1999). The A113 that you see in various signs in Pixar movies is a reference to a classroom in the animation school. When you get around to James Bond, you will hear some musical similarities and see distinct parallels to this in You Only Live Twice. No spoilers.
Edna's voice actor is none other than Brad Bird, the director & writer of this movie (among several others like The Iron Giant, Ratatouille, and the Incredibles 2).
8:30 The names are even better than that. They're their powers. Dash is super fast -"dash". Violet has powers that bend light waves or "ultra-violet" lights waves. And Jack-Jack is a jack of all trades.
I grew up with The Incredibles I remember going to see Incredibles 2 as an adult pushing kids and mad because they didn't grow up with this classic it's different having grown up with it than watching it after the fact it's just a different feeling. This is the best Pixar movie other than Toy Story.

When I started going out with my Girlfriend now Wife back in the early 2000's, she's the one that introduced me to this flick. I love this film and despise what they did in the 2nd one.
I enjoy it almost more watching something that you love. If its a first time watch, you could have a bad time. When its a favorite, you know you are gonna have fun and so are we.

The German dub was awesome. Great casting. Especially the guy who voices Bob's boss (Herbert Feuerstein) looked EXACTLY like that in real life. 😅 may he rest in peace....
I'm not a Pixar guy, but this (and part 2) are my exception! I hope Disney and Pixar make more superhero films--preferably a musical (in Disney's case) and outside the BH6 and TI universes.
We were having a rough year...my youngest was diagnosed with severe autism, he didn't get a Christmas bonus, I lost my job, and my birth control failed and I got pregnant, so we couldn't go to the theater. My husband bought this movie on dvd for our boys when I gave birth to my 3rd and last (my own jack-jack 😂), so this was the first movie I watched when I got home from the hospital. Lots of special memories attached to this one!
20:55 Kronos was the Titan King in Greek mythology who devoured his children, the Gods. Trying to get rid of those with power who could overthrow his own power like Syndrome/Buddy is trying to overthrow the superheroes with actual powers so he could play at being an actual hero. The romans called him Saturn - there's two famous paintings of him devouring the gods.
15:48 I feel like that's a lot like most physical skills. Like in a normal setting you might struggle sometimes physically to do certain things but when you've played a sport, skateboard, or any similar activity, your body like kicks in the ability to move like that when your doing those actions. Idk how to explain what I'm saying but I've been skateboarding since I was a kid and like I occasionally have physical slip ups in normal activity but when I'm on a skateboard I can do all these things beyond what I can normally do. If that makes any sense. I imagine that's what it's like for an aging superhero. Like his body aches but when he's in that mode, normal limitations briefly subside.
Am so glad I got to rewatch such an iconic movie this way! I would want teleportation and telekinesis powers if I could have super abilities. Also, Mel, have you seen Over the Hedge? No one seems to remember that underrated gem and I think that should change!
Honestly this movie isn’t great for younger kids in comparison with other Pixar movies, as much of the plot and humor will go over their heads, but it is a good one It is a good superhero film in its own right, a good superhero PARODY film, and touches on a lot of deeper issues related to family, etv
I saw this movie in the theater when it first came out. I was 8 years old at the time (I'm 26 now) and when Dash runs on water for the first time, my jaw literally dropped to the floor when I first saw it! I wanted nothing more than to be like him as a kid lol. I must also add that once you get older and really understand some of the subject matter (suicide attempt, midlife crisis, family drama, *mass* genocide, "cheating", etc.), this movie can become quite heavy and very realistic. Not very many animated films, or even live action films for that matter portray those real life issues as deep as the Incredibles does. That's kind of why this movie still holds up to this day. The second film is great too, but this one is an absolute classic!
I love how even though their superhero’s their still human like yeah Mr.Incredible can stop that train but it doesn’t mean it isn’t gonna hurt he has super strength not invulnerability Syndrome was only going to appear in the first part of the movie and a different villain was going to be used but the people approving of the movie liked him so much they changed the entire movie Honey is actually Frozons wife’s name and not a nickname and we were originally going to see what she looked like but her design was given to a completely different character in the second movie Have you noticed Elastic girl treats each of her children different and how they would respond better with I also like how she doesn’t sugarcoat how dangerous of a situation they are in
32:00 even with all the flash and sonic adaptations coming out over the past decade this scene of a kid learning he can run on water has aged like fine wine, his little chuckle still gets me hyped 😂
This film is an absolute masterpiece. Its not just one of Pixar's greatest films, I consider it one of the greatest superhero films of all time! I think the characters are spectacular, especially Bob. Aside from being completely relatable, hes just so compassionate and kind. I love that even at his most selfish and lowest, he still wants to help people in some capacity. Whether it's helping others with their insurance claims, or saving people from a burning building, he's a truly heroic individual!
This video game on GameCube was fire! 😂 it interjected clips from the film into the game as cut scenes. I was obsessed. Great reaction Mello. Happy you're seeing a clearer version 😂
I remember going to see this in theaters after school one day with my mom. I don't think either one of us was expecting to be so blown away by it in every single way. We left the auditorium, called my other mom and insisted that she rush to meet us the second she was done with work, because she had to see it with her own eyes. She showed up in time for the next showing, and we saw it again immediately. I think it was one of the only movies that my parents didn't get tired of me watching on repeat once it came out on dvd. When I went to see the sequel, I reverted back to my 12 year old self in that theater again. One of the best franchises out there.
For rewatching a movie, you were still able to provide a quality reaction. Great video! I remember sitting as a kid watching this and the Jack Jack extras on the DVD. I get pumped full of serotonin when I see the Incredibles
6:31 Film theory did a video on this, Good Samaritan laws were put in place so that if someone tried to save someone’s life, they couldn’t be prosecuted if there were negative after effects (within reason) unfortunately these laws would have come in place after the time period this movie takes place if I remember correctly
One of my favorite things is that if you look at the scene where Mrs. incredible looks at herself she is sad that her bottom has gotten bigger and her hips have gotten wider. Yet you absolutely find her beautiful as do I. That really is the ideal shape and women have been taught to think that thin is better.
Edna Mode is actually voiced by the director, Brad Bird!! He kept rejecting voice actors, saying they didn't sound right how he envisioned the voice, so he eventually decided to just do it himself!
It’s awesome watching your inner child come out watching this movie especially considering the fact that this is my favorite Pixar movie of all time too. Wanted EVERY toy😂 and I had the games for GameCube and DSI
Hell yeah Mello you just keep it real and keep watching movies with us. I’m glad you tell us the truth when you’ve seen a movie but it doesn’t stray me away at all. I think kids don’t realize that when you get a tad older and watch a ton of movies certain things in other movies you tend to forget. Especially how you felt in that moment watching it so it’s more of an experience even though you’ve already seen it before:) Keep it up ! I love your videos my dude
They'd never made a movie quite like this before, but there IS a lot of 60's James Bond and classic Fantastic Four in there for sure, and even a little Watchmen. Except The Incredibles is funnier. Way, way funnier
If nobody has said so yet, Edna's voice actor is legit the director, Brad Bird. He apparently was trying to get a voice actress for E, and was doing that voice to try and show what he wanted (a mix of German/Japanese accents) and they all agreed he needed to voice her also, the reason young Buddy has blonde hair while Syndrome has red, is because young Buddy dyed his hair to be blonde like Mr. Incredible. @@orangegirl247 oh yeah that makes sense too. Honestly both ideas make sense respectively, especially for his personality at those ages As a kid: superfan of Mr Incredible, imitating his costume, and apparently knows all of his moves, fighting style, and catchphrases (I'm actually curious about the catchphrases) so it makes sense for him to dye his red hair blonde to he like his hero on the flipside, what you're saying, is as an adult, he is consumed in his desire for revenge and power, and dyes his blonde hair red to A. Be further distanced from his ex-hero, and B. to resemble that of an active volcano, arguably the greatest power on the planet's surface

There isn’t a single thing I didn’t like about it. Even though they’re superheroes, they still feel like a real family.
Mine too, and it's 1 of my favorite superhero films of all time as well.
Syndrome's motivation has nothing understandable or sad, it's just petty and ridiculous
@@omarvazquez4075 Yeah, I was gonna say. Nothing about it was sad and he literally set about the events that ended the age of heroes before becoming a serial killer of said heroes. Syndrome as a person was a monster, would watch him get blended in a turbine again.
@@omarvazquez4075 I was gonna say, Syndrome is just a loony person 🤣
@omarvazquez4075 Syndrome’s has an understandable motivation in my opinion because he had a personal connection with Mr. Incredible. He was his number one fan but later on decided to get revenge on him after being shunned. It makes us understand his motivation and we can kind of see where he’s coming from.
Bro i swear bomb voyage was honestly the best villian in this movie i swear they shoulda gave him more words and actions 😂
I come here ONLY for Melos reaction to the “mirror scene”😂
The Elastigirl simping was hilarious and relatable.
i legit spent this entire video reciting 92% of the lines/actions of this movie-it’s legit one of my top movies as a kid and it still reigns supreme as an adult
We want More!!
i found your channel through the harry potter franchise & i've been obsessed ever since! you & billy both my new favorite youtubers🥰
This is arguably the best animated film ever produced
FUN (maybe not so fun) FACT! 26:37 there was a deleted scene where elastigirl wasn’t the one flying the plane and it was her friend and her friend went down with the plane but Disney thought that would be too dark
They didn't think it would be too dark, there's way darker stuff in the film. They removed his character because they wanted to give Helen control over the situation. This is her family and it's far more compelling watching her fly the plane than some random guy we just met
17:53 Edna is literally voiced by the movie's director Brad Bird. I was shocked when I learned that, he does not get enough credit.
Mellow’s like bowser can’t stay away from mrs. incredibles peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches 🍑 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑😂😂😂😂😂😂
39:46 I agree. All those years I was wishing The Underminer was going to be the main villain
30:39 Did you notice she also tried to punch Bob but he dodged it
My fav pixar film of all time! An animated classic imo!!!! Michael Giacchino’s score goes so hard!!!!!
Edit: My Top 5 Pixar Favs
1. The Incredibles
2. Ratatouille
3. Toy Story 2
4. Toy Story
LMFAO i lost it when you said “damn he got ears?!” @ 36:33 💀
1:51 damn that's perfect
The incredibles is my favorite Pixar film ever. When I first watched it as a kid I thought it was great for the action. But now as a teenager who’s planning on becoming a director, it’s great for the action, the story, the characters, and the soundtrack. Best Pixar movie ever in my opinion.
Mell, I'm one of those who doesn't care if you've seen a movie before and know it. There are certain movies that I have seen thousands of times and still love them! You do you, and I'm with you, especially when it comes to The Incredibles.
EASILY my favorite Pixar movie. The 2nd one is great too but the first just hits different
Nah the second one was mid af
@@Python-xs2iv yeah its too childish and doesnt have that serious/dark vibe to it
@@AXL664 For real. And the villain was dogshit
@@AXL664it’s also childish to disregard someone’s opinions btw
The first just hits different because it is something called Nostalgia.
I literally just searched to see if you'd reacted to this movie yesterday. I'm so glad to see you rewatched it for us. It's my favorite.
“That was totally awesome!” Glad you got to watch it without the shadow of someone getting up for snacks across the screen.
The only reason the cops were there so quickly, is because they were helping control the scene of the fire
17:56 when these reactors ask these questions, I wish they would add a little edit showing who voices the character.
I grew up with The Incredibles I remember going to see Incredibles 2 as an adult pushing kids and mad because they didn't grow up with this classic it's different having grown up with it than watching it after the fact it's just a different feeling. This is the best Pixar movie other than Toy Story.
All the lines in this movie are gold and easy to quote, that first 3 minutes showed how good them are
Syndrome is played by Jason lee, one of the most underrated actors of all time.
beyond excellent film and my all time favorite from pixar. incredibly smart, endlessly exciting, infinitely rewatchable and absolutely fucking hilarious with an endless barrage of iconic scenes and characters. top tier disney right here
As someone who can recite my favorite movies verbatim, I loved all of this reaction ❤😂
When I started going out with my Girlfriend now Wife back in the early 2000's, she's the one that introduced me to this flick. I love this film and despise what they did in the 2nd one.
I’m surprised he didn’t pull out a costume for this reaction!
Yeah I forgot. It was just so sudden
@@HelloMellowXVI I was waitin😂😂😂
I enjoy it almost more watching something that you love. If its a first time watch, you could have a bad time. When its a favorite, you know you are gonna have fun and so are we.
“You didn’t save my life you ruined my death” I say that line too much haha
havent watch the second movie cause was worried it be not even close to first one cause this movie is perfection imo super bias btw still remember when I saw it as an kid I also remember I had the gameboy game of incredibles it was super fun aswell also litle brother the speedsters always been my fav as an litle boy myself at the time I loved it
The German dub was awesome.
So glad i found this channel, since the Harry Potter movies. This man funny and fine as hell 😂🙏
So happy I found a great youtuber to watch. You are hilarious😭
It’s always good to come back to certain films after some time to appreciate them in a different light.
Dont know if you ever got to play the game but they did a PHENOMENAL job with it, the details the gameplay all exactly like the movie 😮😮
Honestly this movie isn’t great for younger kids in comparison with other Pixar movies, as much of the plot and humor will go over their heads, but it is a good one
It is a good superhero film in its own right, a good superhero PARODY film, and touches on a lot of deeper issues related to family, etv
I love how even though their superhero’s their still human like yeah Mr.Incredible can stop that train but it doesn’t mean it isn’t gonna hurt he has super strength not invulnerability
Syndrome was only going to appear in the first part of the movie and a different villain was going to be used but the people approving of the movie liked him so much they changed the entire movie
Honey is actually Frozons wife’s name and not a nickname and we were originally going to see what she looked like but her design was given to a completely different character in the second movie
Have you noticed Elastic girl treats each of her children different and how they would respond better with I also like how she doesn’t sugarcoat how dangerous of a situation they are in
It's a crime that Brad Bird hasn't been let loose on the MCU
32:00 even with all the flash and sonic adaptations coming out over the past decade this scene of a kid learning he can run on water has aged like fine wine, his little chuckle still gets me hyped 😂
Bruh… EVERY Pixar mom is built like that! Lol!
Mellow the whole movie: 🤤🤤🤤🤤
The Incredibles is set in 1962. The beginning of the movie is set in 1947.
One of my all time favorite scenes is when Dash realizes he's running on water and just starts chuckling. That boy was like "OH HELL YEAH!!!"
Great reaction as usual! Love, love this movie. Also 16:31 I gotchu bro
34:06 honey where is my super suit! Where is my super suit! One of my favorite scenes
33:35 I legit forgot about that line, and I BURSTED out laughing.
Especially how you felt in that moment watching it so it’s more of an experience even though you’ve already seen it before:)
Keep it up ! I love your videos my dude
One of the funniest and craziest action comedy superhero movies ever made!
Be sure to watch INCREDIBLES 2.
They'd never made a movie quite like this before, but there IS a lot of 60's James Bond and classic Fantastic Four in there for sure, and even a little Watchmen. Except The Incredibles is funnier. Way, way funnier
someone is starving for elastic girl xD
If nobody has said so yet, Edna's voice actor is legit the director, Brad Bird. He apparently was trying to get a voice actress for E, and was doing that voice to try and show what he wanted (a mix of German/Japanese accents) and they all agreed he needed to voice her
also, the reason young Buddy has blonde hair while Syndrome has red, is because young Buddy dyed his hair to be blonde like Mr. Incredible. Cosplayer's gonna cosplay
Ah. I thought he dyed it orange to make it look like a flame. It made sense, him being attracted to power/fire/volcano and such.
@@orangegirl247 oh yeah that makes sense too. Honestly both ideas make sense respectively, especially for his personality at those ages
As a kid: superfan of Mr Incredible, imitating his costume, and apparently knows all of his moves, fighting style, and catchphrases (I'm actually curious about the catchphrases) so it makes sense for him to dye his red hair blonde to he like his hero
on the flipside, what you're saying, is
as an adult, he is consumed in his desire for revenge and power, and dyes his blonde hair red to A. Be further distanced from his ex-hero, and B. to resemble that of an active volcano, arguably the greatest power on the planet's surface
Hey Mel! Love to watch your movie reactions. If I could make some suggestions - Hidalgo is an early 2000s movies but it is one of my favorites. Based on the life of Frank T Hopkins, one of the greatest long distance racers and his horse Hidalgo. Secretariat and Seabiscuit are great movies based on real events and figures as well.
I appreciate people like you for being honest and real in the intro! 👍
Michael Giacchino’s score enhances this movie so much I’ll argue it’s my favorite superhero movie ever and it’s my number 1 Pixar movie love seeing you react to a movie you’ve seen especially having fun quoting along
7:43 Yoo!! Your voice merged with his 😂
The Voice 'Actress' for Edna Mode is the director, Brad Bird
I'm looking forward to the Incredibles 2 reaction😁
@7:42 this scene always gets me 😂
I remember watching this movie on DVD and having my mom rewind a bunch of parts because they cracked me up 😂😂😂 thanks for the blast to the past Mello
