I'm jealous about the sweet bamboo materials people can easily gather in asia. I would use it a lot if it was growing on my property.
Ugh same. Insane tensile strength, very easy to carve and shape, long straight uniform pieces. I would build a whole house if I lived by a field.
yes bamboo is everywhere here even around my house, you can take as much as you can everyday when you visit Indonesia 😂.
In india you can get bamboo everywhere.
You can plant it, it is a grass thus can be a bit of a weed, but a very useful on if into crafting it

I want to buy this item
I'd be careful with designs using rollers. The bands have a tendency to break at the roller. Slingshots arent supposed to have pressure on the side of an outstretched band like that. Rollers can add power, but you sacrifice the life of the bands.
Is the bamboo still "green", recently cut down, when you make these?
your videos are awesome, just an advice, no need the music, only the sounds of the working is good enough

Идея спрятать резинку в рукоятке - разумна, хотя, конечно, при соприкосновении с довольно маленьким роликом, резинка испытывает дополнительные нагрузки в сравнении с обычным растяжением.
Ну а задумка привязать стрелу леской - это вообще супер!
Пошел к примеру на уток охотиться, можно и собаку с собой не брать, сам добычу достанешь!

@@MAKAR_3.14 Да , кстати в тему , Лук , тоже хочу сделать , но ни из лыжи . Из черёмухи , выбираешь ствол диаметром сантиметров пять - семь , около двух метров (с запасом .) ровный без сучков и эту палку несешь домой , там в тепле снимаешь кору и потом точно по средине , забиваешь топор , Дерево разкалывается , ровно на две половины по всей длине . Далее останется ,сделать профиль изапарить в кипятке , остынет ,форма лука готова .Об этом ,на каналах лучников , подробно написано . Половинка у меня в гараже , загибать стану , сниму .Пока пока .

I love your designs. I have to ask though, don't you have trouble with the rollers? In my experience, any tension on the middle of a stretched band makes it wear out super super fast, or just immediately snap . How long do the bands on your roller slingshots actually last you?
Ps: guys who are into slingshots generally don't like tube shaped bands. If you used flat bands and actually listed the materials you used on your website, you would make far more sales. Even better would be to use a chrono and list fps readings with different ammunition. This way we know what we are buying. You do a good job of listing dimensions, but buyers also care about performance and the materials being used. I think for $100+ we should be getting more information about what we are buying.

Second of all, I must thank you again for the clear information, me and the team will try our best to improve and fix our mistakes to better suit our customers.
@@WoodenDIY Thank you. Again, I love your designs, just trying to offer some purely constructive criticism. Personally id be willing to pay a few extra dollars to be able to see the materials and performance tests and even stuff like draw lengths for those of us who like butterfly draw or partial butterfly. I'm sure others would appreciate it too. Gives the buyer some peace of mind. Plus itd help you quantify performance for yourself and even further improve your awesome designs. Plus a little testing can easily help you find the perfect ammo type/weight for each slingshot so that tou can list it on your sale page. You could also sell replacement bands for your custom slingshots for people who are unable to, or dont want to mess with making them themselves.
@@alexcrowder1673 What is wrong with tubes? I kinda got interested in slingshots recently since I'm surrounded by wood my whole life and I guess it wont be too bad to make myself a few. I've always seen tubes as a easier mounting system and less prone to breaking since there were no longitudinal (is it even a word?) cuts along the whole lenght of band.
@@Krompierre. You cant adjust them is most of my reasoning for hating them. That and most of the time tubes are just old junk rubber that someone is trying to pawn off as being for slingshots. Most tubes that you buy are too heavy for most slingshot ammo. You loose speed with overly heavy bands. With flat bands you can cut them to the exact width that you need to adjust draw weight to perfectly suit your ammo. You can also taper the bands to get that extra little bit of retraction speed.
@@Krompierre. if you use a roller cutter you wont get cuts in the flat bands. Just use thin strips of rubber to tie it on. You can use the same rubber you use to make the bands to tie the bands to literally anything. In my opinion thats much easier than having to drill holes into custom slingshots to mount tubes or trying to force the tubes onto those steel wireframe slingshots. I really dont like the way tubes retract either. Its not consistent in my opinion. I could go on and on but i guess in the end its just my opinion. If you decide you like them thats totally fine. They just arent for me.

Yes, I noticed his store doesn't list any materials whatsoever. This doesn't just prevent people from copying his designs though, it prevents people from buying his products because they don't know what they are actually purchasing. I would never ever buy a slingshot of an unknown material, but if he told us what they were made from I actually might consider it.

Здравствйте Уважаемый , к счастью у нас ни растёт бамбук и нет станков по дереву , рашпилей и стамесок , Есть простая русская рогатка , которую сделает любой ребёнок 5 летний . Никакая стрела , ему при этом , обратно в глаз ни прилетит .А во вторую мировую войну с фашисткой германией , солдаты подбивали вражеские танки , метая рогатками (чуть , побольше в размерах .) гранаты и зажигательные снаряды . Сегодня с помощью рогаток , успешно запускают дроны , а вчера запускали планеры , что по сути одно и то же . Сегодня есть специальные рогатки , у ОМОНА , военных , рыбаков и охотников . И ни нужно , идти на завод и трое суток , чтото точить сверлить , клеить , а затем остаться без глаз и пальцев .Спасибо за внимание . Всех благ .🕵👋✍✍✍.
