Eta: that "star" you were seeing was Venus. You might also have been able to see Jupiter off to the west of the eclipsed sun.

Thank you so much for sharing! We got 80% here, but your video was the best I've seen showing totality, even if it didn't do justice to the in person experience (but what could?). The 360 sunset was so cool, and the lighting changes did come through on camera. Honestly this reaction made me feel like I was sharing totality with all of you who got to experience it in person. Plus it was fun meeting the family too. 😊
There was an eclipse, about, maybe15 years ago?? I lived in the mountains, and what I noticed was the absolute silence. It gives a awesome feeling. It was in the middle of summer, and the temperature drop was surprising! This eclipse, here inMaryland was not total, but it was still amazing.

really was the coolest thing I've ever seen pictures and videos don't do it justice really a magical feeling they said this one was more coverage than 2017 bc the moon was closer to the earth.

There's going to be an annular eclipse in 2027 that starts in South America and ends in Ghana, and a total eclipse later that year that crosses the Mediterranean, including parts of Tunisia and Egypt. And a total eclipse going straight over Nigeria in 2034, if you're willing to wait 😀

Thanks for sharing! It was the most stunning thing I've seen in my 50 years! Praise Jesus!! 'God a Minute?' UA-cam channel vids show all the biblical places that the recent eclipses passed over. God is speaking through his creation: 7 years ago, totality went through 7 cities called Salem (peace); now, 7 years later, it goes through 7 cities called Ninevah (the city Jonah was told by God to go warn the people that they have 40 days to turn to God, or the city would be given over to enemies)... in at least 3 places in Scripture it says. "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas." Matthew 16:4 The paths of those eclipses intersect at RAPTURE, INDIANA - on Goodman Rd. - Matthew 24:43/Luke 12:39 about the "Goodman of the house..." Scripture (Luke 17:26) also says, " And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came..." --- Totality went right over the ONLY life-size (to the specs of the King James Bible) Noah's Ark in Williamstown, KY! I'm no longer a skeptic.
There's so much evidence that Jesus is REAL and coming very soon!! It wont be 'aliens' ; it will be the rapture, which is due very soon!! Simply BELIEVE Jesus died to pay all our debts with His own blood! Salvation is a GIFT that is received through FAITH, never our own works, church-going, water-baptism etc... BELIEVING is the only 'work'. If you want to see more evidence, check out Ron Wyatt's discovery of the real Noah's Ark and other archaeological discoveries that irrefutably confirm the Bible -- All conveniently ignored in public schools... Thanks again!! P.S. If anyone misses the rapture, they MUST REJECT the one-world digital ID currency mark (Rev. 13:16) "To live is Christ, and to die is gain."
