    This will be something for the little people older teenagers and younger adults a day that they will never forget my first solar eclipse was in 1973 when I was 13 years old . The Halo was beautiful❤

    Saw it in TX right in the heart of totality. I about lost my mind over it. Unless you experience one of these you will not understand the feeling of what it's like to see this in person. The most incredible thing I've EVER seen. Caught it on camera.

      Same here, saw it w family in our back yard. It was stunningly beautiful but also entirely disorienting in a very primal way.

      The same was here in Indianapolis. My location was on the far,far east side of Indianapolis. The view from that location was spectacular. The Halo on this one was beautiful .

      We went down to the beach on Lake Erie near Port Stanley. We had clear skies and it was a perfect total eclipse.

      You guys, in Canada, including Niagara Falls , Buffalo, got the most ultimate spectacular viewing of the solar eclipse quite sure the Halo increase more around the eclipse . The Halo was spectacular in Indianapolis it was so beautiful .

    Cleburne TX it was awesome the clouds broke and cleared 5 mins before totality and it stayed clear the whole time. I was bummed at the forecast but we were blessed

    Here in southern Ontario Canada.
    We went to the beach along Lake Erie and had clear blue skies for our total eclipse. It was beautiful and perfect!

    We did not get to see it as the clouds never dissipated, and so we only saw a quarter of it, but we did see how dark it got, then the light came. NYS has so much rain and clouds. I wish I never left Arizona.

      it WAS a big deal for us. drove 3 hrs 1 way with 3 kids and was all starstruck by it. had dinner and came home. we will never forget it.

    I liked this Total Solar Eclipse so much crossing over Niagara Falls I want to travel to where the next Total Solar Eclipse is crossing over on Planet Earth. It was actually much darker outside during totality than I thought it would look like. Think about it most Humans in who lived in North America even if they live to 100 years old never see a Total Solar Eclipse their entire lifetime.. The last time before today a Total Solar Eclipse path crossed over Niagara Falls and Buffalo was on January 25, 1925.

      Your area over Niagara Falls and Buffalo especially right over into Canada you guys most definitely got the ultimate View of the ending of the solar eclipse quite sure that the Halo increased more around the eclipse it was in Indianapolis .

      When it is in totality you don’t need the glasses. Everyone who wasn’t in the path of totality needed glasses, and up until it was completely covered you needed glasses.

      in the total path no protection needed during totality. we watched 3 minutes of it in southern illinois. through rifle scopes and binoculars. no lenses.

    so when you have an object pass infront of another object you see the edges of the object in front SPECIALLY spheres.... where was the moon ? there was no object infront of the sun it just looks like the sun gets dark

      The moon was definitely right there it just is pitch black dark bc it doesn't have the sun reflecting off of it now

      @InfernoPhoenix123 that's not how light works on spheres.. if you shine a light behind a ball you will see scattering on the edges almost like an event horizon. So before the total eclipse we should have seen the light scattered on the other side of the moon. But it just looks like something covered the sun bc nothing passed infront of it or else we would have seen the highlight of the moon make a sphere. Super weird!

      @@SarahB1863 you don't see the light on the other side.. the "edges" would be lighter in shade than the middle because the background is lit and not a flat surface.. spheres scatter light bc of the angles the light hits it on. It creates depth.

      You haven't seen totality, have you? It's nothing like a partial eclipse. It's really spectacular, and you can't really quite catch it on camera. 99% eclipsed is really nothing like totality. The corona of the sun is only visible at 100% eclipsed. When you see it for yourself with your own eyes, it's really shocking and awe inspiring. It's not like anything you've seen before. I was really surprised how amazing it was.

    If you didn't either say or know someone who said "oh my god, or look at that" today during the eclipse, you weren't really there. God is more real than what we know as real.
