Saw it in TX right in the heart of totality. I about lost my mind over it. Unless you experience one of these you will not understand the feeling of what it's like to see this in person. The most incredible thing I've EVER seen. Caught it on camera.

@InfernoPhoenix123 that's not how light works on spheres.. if you shine a light behind a ball you will see scattering on the edges almost like an event horizon. So before the total eclipse we should have seen the light scattered on the other side of the moon. But it just looks like something covered the sun bc nothing passed infront of it or else we would have seen the highlight of the moon make a sphere. Super weird!

@@SarahB1863 you don't see the light on the other side.. the "edges" would be lighter in shade than the middle because the background is lit and not a flat surface.. spheres scatter light bc of the angles the light hits it on. It creates depth.

You haven't seen totality, have you? It's nothing like a partial eclipse. It's really spectacular, and you can't really quite catch it on camera. 99% eclipsed is really nothing like totality. The corona of the sun is only visible at 100% eclipsed. When you see it for yourself with your own eyes, it's really shocking and awe inspiring. It's not like anything you've seen before. I was really surprised how amazing it was.
