Beating Sonic Frontiers without upgrading Skills or Stats

- Today, we're seeing if it's possible to beat Sonic Frontiers without upgrading any of Sonic's stats or skills! Of course, cyloop and a couple of other skills are mandatory and unlocked by default and are safe to use.

Little tip on Supreme you're actually supposed to break one of his turrets and then get knocked back, then you're supposed to parry all the bullets and he'll be free to attack
Shame brute force works just fine at like level fifty to sixty something attack.
You want challenge ?
Try this :
- Play on hard mode
- No skill upgrade
- No stats upgrade (Ring, speed, power and defense)
- No fishing
- No shortcut not solving ANY puzzles wich means finish every island with 0% completion, except for the 4th island)
And for last, see all the options in the menu for camera speed, camera position, Sonic's speed, turbo speed and all ?
- Put all those options at MINIMUM.
Finish the game with all those conditions.

Yea. Before I got the game, I heard how easy the supposed “Hard Mode” is, so when I bought the game, I didn’t level up Attack, Defense, Speed, or Ring Capacity. It honestly made the game more fun, and with that you can actually pull of combos and use your unlocked skills without one-shotting them, especially for the last island. Even the lowest enemy type, the Soldiers, allowed me to combo like crazy; kicking them in the air, pummeling them is really something. My first play through, I leveled up to an attack of Lv. 24, and even then, I was basically killing enemies in one combo, which wasn’t difficult or fun to me. So, I played the game again without leveling up at all, and that rlly put meaning of “Hard” in “Hard Mode” and made the combat of Sonic Frontiers way better in my opinion.
“Trianglussy” and “thicc ninja mommy” are not phrases I would’ve used to describe that soulless, ruthless, emotionless, mechanically precise hedgehog-killing piece of abstract modern art.
But now that you mention it….
It’s kind of funny how I was doing this for my 3rd play through of game (except for the no skill tree part) and stopped on the second island when enemies were just getting too annoying to fight. So I can understand the smallest amount of your pain

I finished my own version of this challenge today, except I didn’t use the skills from rescuing sonic’s friends either. I didn’t try all the guardians, but I can confirm you can beat all the titans with just punching and cyloop...although I wouldn’t recommend it. Cyloop is the key for most of them as you do way more damage while they’re cylooped.
Giganto is simple, just cyloop and punch quickly. Wyvern you can’t cyloop to my knowledge, but the fight has rings you can collect along the way, so just grab those and punch wyvern as normal otherwise. Knight is pretty easy due to the shield doing way more damage than punching in the first phase, but if you want to be cool about it, there’s actually a split second between when knight puts the shield down and when it starts moving where you can cyloop it, so you can beat the first phase without the shield if you really try. You can also infinite combo it by cylooping it again in the air, then cylooping it before it starts moving again on the ground.
And then there’s supreme. By destroying one of the turrets and parrying the lasers afterwards, you get a chance to cyloop it, and you can even do an infinite combo like in knight’s boss fight up to roughly 25% of supreme’s health. But. You do so little damage even when cylooping, and it takes so long to even get the chance to cyloop it, that I just couldn’t for the life of me find a way to beat it with just 400 rings. But fun fact. If you can get on top of supreme’s back, there are some spots that are solid enough ground to cyloop to recover rings like you would as non-super sonic. This only works in phase 1, so grind as many rings as you can just before the phase 2 trigger, and pray you can beat it fast enough. This fight took me several days of attempts to beat. Wouldn’t recommend.

Incredible job! Honestly, I wanted to do something like this, but just leaving my attack stat as low as possible. Fights are way too short for me to use all of my moves, so my solution is to just.. have them do less damage..!

Best experience if u fight with lvl 1 and no rings titans, they give u 100 rings only and u will need to utilise the parry a lot, supreme also becomes surprisimgly super hard
supreme was always harder than the other titans you just got to strong

You can skip cyloop by jumping above the 1-1 cliff via the rail or a trick launch activated by side stepping then get 400 rings do 1-2 skip and clip through the last 2 barriers
Cyloop is still needed in a story section too though. (I recall at least the one where you need to drain the lake)

I'm doing the exact same thing with exact same rules lol. The only difference is I cant use the cyloop and other things when completely necessary (I beat sumo without it)
You can skip cyloop entirely until Chaos
sumo is way more fun to beat using the waIIs to Iower his guard rather than just cheapIy cyIooping him and making his fight not reaIIy a fight, shame everyone assumes to just cyIoop him

Did you not know you have to break Supreme's turrets? Or does that take too long? I did a level 1 run but with upgraded skills and I could destroy it with one stomp
probably something i could have mentioned in the video, but at the time i hadnt tried it. later on i did, and it takes way too long. it relates to when i said that if he hits you away, your ring counter still goes down. i tried about 3 times, its not very consistent 😭 but i appreciate the advice!

I'll be honest...the game does NOT scale with Sonic's stats. Playing on hard without upgrading makes the fights the most enjoyable!

He didn't? The end is the secret boss, and the boss doesn't use normal gameplay.
You cant just put the final boss in the thumbnail ik the game has been out for a month but you didnt have to put it in the thumbnail (unless its not the final boss and i just look stupid for commenting this)
