They had been singing together since they were children. They can never be replaced, only remembered now. Their harmonies were so natural. Their mother told a story of hearing singing, and thinking the boys had the radio on, but they were in their room singing. She knew they had talent. They have given us so much beautiful music over the years.
Robin's my favorite too! Maurice (aka Mo) he's actually the jokester of the brothers! You'd be surprised what he's like in interviews when he's just himself! It's refreshing.
Barry described them as two lead singers and a master harmonizer. Barry had the giant vibrato and great falsetto while Robin had a higher chest voice with an amazing vibrato. Maurice had an amazing range also and was a gifted keys, bass, and guitar player. For me, it’s that tone and harmony that you only find with siblings and their song writing. Check out one of their later songs, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.
The magic of the Bee Gees is not only their singing but that they write all of their songs. Plus hundreds more for other artists. True geniuses... all three of them.
The Bee Gees wrote this song but many other artists have recorded it. Barry says that this is one of his favorite songs. In the many documentaries that have been made, Maurice tells us all that Robin & Barry sing together on the second part of the verse. However Robin alone has an ethereal vibrato that will melt your heart! Your reaction is so genuine. Check out a late 90's song called "Alone" and a classic "Massachusetts" Both were hits.
'' Fanny be tender '' is a must reaction - Quincy Jones said it was one of his favorite Rnb songs. The BG'S went all out with the harmonies with FANNY . Another heartfelt and genuine reaction with this 70's classic.
Staying Alive, Jive Talking, Fanny be tender with my love, Run to me, so many hits. I've been a massive fan for 40 years. Even their later music in the 80s and 90s is brilliant! Enjoy.
RR, I've been listening to these brothers for over 50 yrs. And I agree with you about Robin being a unsung (pun) hero of the group. Watching them on video and in concert, Robin's scale more matched Berry's, so to give richness to the vocals they sang in unison. Also, if you closely observe, their diction and timing were the best ever, which almost gave the impression of a single voice with multiple overtones. I know this was something that they feverishly focused on. Next should be: "Staying Alive", "You Should be Dancing", "Tragedy", just to start. The BeeGees is a very deep rabbit hole and could keep you in content for months. You also have them (especially Berry) in duets with several other big singing stars.
Great reaction! Saturday Night Fever is not actually a musical. It's the story of an inner city young man who has few options but has one great talent. He can dance and it's his way "out." The movie does feature a lot of Disco songs though.
What ambivalence watching her discover the BeeGees. For many of us it is like hearing her say she is discovering air and water. The music of the BeeGees was ubiquitious for anyone over a certain age. They were a part of the fabric of society. To hear somebody say they think they may have heard "How Deep Is Your Love" but aren't certain is deeply puzzling. It is saddening to know that such a basic part of our common experience is no longer common. And of course it is uplifting to watch her respond to their magic -- just as everyone did long ago.
They were masters! You couldn’t tell that there was more than 1 person singing! Your going down the rabbit hole!!! Great place to go!! Watch Fanny be tender with my love!! It’s awesome!!!❤️ ps: those tight pants were the style back then!! Best decade ever!!
If you get a chance to watch any of their concerts you will see Maurice is quite the cut up. They all have beautiful voices. I love them I have always had them in my life since I was very young. Have been entertained for hours and hours with this wonderful music. You have a great reaction to their voices.
"Saturday Night Fever" isn't a musical. The music is going on throughout the movie. The story and acting are okay but combined with the soundtrack and dancing scenes, it's a pretty good movie.
@@MajJGrant In extra fairness, she did label it a musical. In fact her specific words were, "I haven't seen the movie...I'm not that big on musicals but, we'll see..."
I have loved The Bee Gees for many, many years… they had a sound all their own! They have so many great songs! Saturday Night Fever was a popular movie back in the ‘70s. It was a big one for John Travolta! I saw it when it came out in ‘77… it changed the musical world with disco music!!🕺 ❤️
Andy Gibb - I Just Want to Be Your Everything, is their younger brother, he also sings background vocals with his brothers on the song - You Should Be Dancing - Bee Gees. He passed before any of them - R.I. P.
Their catalog is so massive, hit after hit after hit... I never get tired of signing along with them. So soothing! Great reaction and I hope that you delve into some of Robins leads. David Bennett is right, Massachusetts I think is one of my all time favorites. These dudes started in the late 60s.. Robin looked like a baby lol.
I'm so glad I grew up with this music. Saturday Night Fever is one of my favorite movies because of this soundtrack. We definitely had the best music!! No autotune, just great artists. I tell my daughters that we had ARTISTS in my Era and they just have PERFORMERS. Most don't even write their own music these days. Sad.
They’ve done a variety of songs and many of their songs have been done over by other artists. But this … How deep is your love …. Is one of the best songs to come out of the disco era
I’m 79 years old . I stumbled across Foo Fighters cover of You Should Be Dancing .... Great Cover ! Great Band ! , I had never heard any of their music before , I’m going to be listening to it though .
for me ROBIN GIBB has the best voice of them all, the most unique voice in the music industry, most of robin's lead voice are from their 60's and early 70's songs
Robin’s classic solo spotlight song was I STARTED A JOKE. For comparison, you may want to react to the promo video from the 1960’s and then the 1989 Live performance. Barry’s solo spotlight is WORDS. For contrast maybe the Ed Sullivan 60’s performance and 1989 Live!!! My favorite for Maurice is JIVE TALKIN, even though it’s not for his vocals:) For vocals, it would probably be WALKING ON AIR.
Maurice is not serious, he is the funniest of the 3 brothers, always joking, he is so talented 1 great musician, and he is the one who keep the 3 brothers united
On most parts of this song, Barry uses his "normal" chestvoice. Some falsettos in chorus. To hear him both of his voice-abilities, check out 'Be Who You Are' and I'll tellya, this song will melt your heart! Robin at his best is to hear on 'I Can't See Nobody' and Maurice on leadvocals on 'Man In The Middle'. But yaknow, they wrote more that 1000 songs from 1961 up to 2001.
To hear Robin sing check out for whom the bell tolls, Alone or Rings around the moon. All great songs. You should also check out, Fanny, be tender with my love. That song is a many favorite of the Bee gees. Also Jibe Talking and Nights on Broadway highlight 5heir natural voices and early entry into blue eyed soul music.
Maurice was quoted a few times saying that often when you think it's Barry singing, it's actually Barry AND Robin but their voices combine so we'll that you can't always tell it's two voices And Robin is my favorite too. He is socially kind of goofy but so serious about his craft... I gotta tell you again... if you live Robin, You NEED to watch "I Can't See Nobody" on the Midnight Special...
"Back when this song was playing on the radio, I wasn't putting names and faces together." LOL! Let's see...in 1977, you were probably 20 years from being hatched! :-)
Sibling harmony and particularly twin harmony is very special and eerie and special again And you can’t be old enough to hear this on regular radio lol
Oh, to be young again back in 1977. I was 19 years old when I went with my date to see Saturday Night Fever, and afterwards rode on the tram to Roosevelt Island, in New York. My friends and I used to dance at 2001 Odyssey, the disco in the movie, located in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, NY with our girlfriends and would dance and twirl the girls around to this song. What great memories.
That was some foreshadowing when they sang "we're living in a world of fools breaking us down, when they all should just let us be." That radio disc jockey, Steve Dahl, tried his damndest to break them.
This song is just pure beauty!! I will never cease to be amazed by how magnificent they are sound both individually and together. Lovely and wonderful reaction! ❤❤❤
Tighten yer rollerskates and enjoy slow-dance rolling... and isn't it amazing that we can hear, but still gain a difference when we really listen. There are several live performances "One Night Only" for example which are well-recorded and well-played.
this was THE Slow dance Song for my Teen Years! Holding Someone close and moving to this was as close to heaven you could get to, Here on Earth! Barry's Hair and Beard was the Most Iconic Look for the 70's. EVERY Guy wanted that Look!
Just found your reactions. Enjoy them very much. You are one beautiful young lady and your reactions are spot on. Will look forward to seeing more. And your smile is contagious.
Your reviews are fantastic! Here are some Bee Gees classics: 1) MORE THAN A WOMAN, 2) JIVE TALKIN, 3) YOU SHOULD BE DANCING, 4) NIGHTS ON BROADWAY. Barry Gibb is also wrote music for other artists. The Duet with Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, "ISLANDS IN THE STREAM" was written by Barry Gibb! A real talent!!
There were 5 siblings, as you noted Barry is the only male left, he has a sister still living. Maurice’s daughter also sings. Though she is based mostly in Australia
Yes what a beautiful family they are. My sister dated Barry's son a while ago and I got to meet them. Really amazing people. God bless Barry and his family 🙏
You will freak out when you hit "You Should Be Dancing" and indeed their Monster banger "Stayin Alive" one of the most played in radio stations of all time, with this tune the had beed immortal forever 🍾
The soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever was awesome 👍 and the movie was also. The Gibb brothers can blow and to see and hear them live was out of this world. This is old school music where the wrote and sang their songs. Four of the most talented brothers in music 🎵🎶.
If you listen to "Fanny be tender", both Barry and Robin share the falsetto's, and it's actually Robin that really gets up there. Check it out, you'll enjoy!
wooow con esta cancion me enamore de ti .... me encantan los videos que subes, me encantas tu ....espero no te molestes .. de el fin del mundo hay alguien profundamente enamorado de ti RogueRxyce ...
It’s 12:45am I’m watching you react to this classic & start singing along & my wife hears me at least she isn’t annoyed lol she did complement me lol though she does have work in the AM being Monday here lol
you still have the most beautiful smile in the world. this is the opinion of a Frenchman who often looks at you.
They had been singing together since they were children. They can never be replaced, only remembered now. Their harmonies were so natural. Their mother told a story of hearing singing, and thinking the boys had the radio on, but they were in their room singing. She knew they had talent. They have given us so much beautiful music over the years.
Check out the TNT boys together we fly on the wish bus
Separately they are all amazing, but put them together and there absolutely phenomenal.
They each have a quality that when added together they are terrific.
It’s that family harmony!! Nothing like it!!
Robin's my favorite too! Maurice (aka Mo) he's actually the jokester of the brothers! You'd be surprised what he's like in interviews when he's just himself! It's refreshing.
I started a joke is easily one of my top 10. Love Robin! I think my number one would be Nights on Broadway 🥰🥰🥰🥰
The great producer Quincy Jones said the Bee Gees had the greatest harmonies he has ever heard !!!!
Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)!
The BeeGees are my loves.........glad you appreciate them. I grew up with them.
Barry described them as two lead singers and a master harmonizer. Barry had the giant vibrato and great falsetto while Robin had a higher chest voice with an amazing vibrato. Check out one of their later songs, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.
Now The Bee Gees were not a disco group. They were asked to do the soundtrack for a disco era movie. They just did it better. Try More Than A Woman.
Their music definitely morphed into disco during the disco era. IMHO They are one of the best disco bands of the 70’s.
The magic of the Bee Gees is not only their singing but that they write all of their songs. Plus hundreds more for other artists. True geniuses... all three of them.
Thanks for being so professional and interesting yourself!
The Bee Gees wrote this song but many other artists have recorded it. Barry says that this is one of his favorite songs. Saturday night fever is not a musical. It is a story of New York City in the 70's during the height of the famous disco era.
Staying Alive, Jive Talking, Fanny be tender with my love, Run to me, so many hits. I've been a massive fan for 40 years. Even their later music in the 80s and 90s is brilliant! Enjoy.
Vous avez toujours le plus beau sourire du monde. C’est l’avis d’un français.
THE BEE GEES "I'VE JUST GOTTA GET A MESSAGE TO YOU",, "TO LOVE SOMEBODY" &
"I STARTED A JOKE"..CLASSICS..TRUTH!!
They are individually talented. But together they harmonize like nobody else could.
RR, I've been listening to these brothers for over 50 yrs. And I agree with you about Robin being a unsung (pun) hero of the group. Watching them on video and in concert, Robin's scale more matched Berry's, so to give richness to the vocals they sang in unison. She could have a reaction channel just on the Bee Gees and never run out of material...
Great reaction! Saturday Night Fever is not actually a musical. It's the story of an inner city young man who has few options but has one great talent. He can dance and it's his way "out." The movie does feature a lot of Disco songs though.

It's just like how the music from the 40's e.g. was partly forgotten in your young years. Generations have their times.

R.I.P. ANDY,, MAURICE & ROBIN..THANKS FOR ALL YOU GAVE US...GONE BUT DEFINITELY NOT FORGOTTEN.
I believe in you. You know the door to my barest soul. You’re the light in my deepest, darkest hour. You’re my savior when I fall.
Barry's natural voice is on display here. It's good. He has a falsetto too and you already know how good that is.
If you get a chance to watch any of their concerts you will see Maurice is quite the cut up. They all have beautiful voices. I love them I have always had them in my life since I was very young. "Saturday Night Fever" isn't a musical. The music is going on throughout the movie. The story and acting are okay but combined with the soundtrack and dancing scenes, it's a pretty good movie.
The movie.... and the 2 Record soundtrack... were SMASH HITS that summer. John Travolta was HUGE !!!
In all fairness, she never said it was a musical. In fact her specific words were the soundtrack from the movie.

For more of Robin singing, check out The Bee Gee's "I Started a Joke". A really great song.
My favorite.
For Whom the Bell Tolls has some of the most fantastic Robin's singing. And his solo, Like A Fool.
"How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" is another one, as good.
yes -- Robin! please..
Massachusetts

Andy Gibb - I Just Want to Be Your Everything, is their younger brother, he also sings background vocals with his brothers on the song - You Should Be Dancing - Bee Gees. He passed before any of them - R.I. P.
So you mean Robin is 'killing you softly..... with his voice'. Great reaction, keep going.
hello Rogue Rexyce . .. by ur reacting to old songs from Bee Gees .. .n alike I remember way back old peaceful days ... .💕💕
Love your reactions to the Bee Gees. You display that look that says, "I wish I could have been there for just one concert!"

Try “You should be Dancing” or “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees for a little more upbeat songs .

Great reaction. Love disco, listened to the Bee Gees forever 🕺
more more more Bee Gees😂🤣
Another great #1 song from the Bee Gees. Awesome. ♥️🎼🎵🎶🇨🇦
That was some foreshadowing when they sang "we're living in a world of fools breaking us down, when they all should just let us be." That radio disc jockey, Steve Dahl, tried his damndest to break them.
What did that disc jockey do? People can be so hateful!
You are so gracious, soft spoken and beautiful.
Of course you've heard it before. Angels in heaven love this song and often sing the cover up above. Thanks and God bless!
They had a younger brother Andy who was a singer also but he passed away. Look him up doing Shadow Dancing. He sounds like Barry
LOVE FROM PORTUGAL. BEIJINHOS E ABRAÇOS. 😍😍😍😍😍

I didn't know Barry Gibb wrote that song! That was my jam one summer long ago...
For me,as a teenager in the 1970s, the decade that saw the death of the Ballad ,but the BeeGee's gave it the greatest, brightest send off ,.....
It's amazing that a single movie has so many great songs!
They are fabulous. Mauriice was brilliant. Check out the songs he sings he wrote and does lead. Amazing. Glad u liked them
Brings back memories ! Nice and good memories when the world is just simple and just chillin..
Thank you for that great reaction, more Bee Gees Please. 😎👍
Makes me smile watching you vibe
Great reaction video. This song and Too Much Heaven are beautiful classics.
Thank you so much for not wearing makeup. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.
R.I.P. to my older Sister who introduce the Bee Gees to me back in the 70's when this song came out.
And, according to Andy, the sister raises singing dogs.
Listen to “To Love Somebody” from the 60’s. They were so young, I have no idea how that much soul came out of them!
You will freak out when you hit "You Should Be Dancing" and indeed their Monster banger "Stayin Alive" one of the most played in radio stations of all time, with this tune the had beed immortal forever 🍾
Andy Gibb had the same Talent. One of the brothers, died before his time.
I am ashamed that I forgot Andy. R.I.P.
Shadow Dancing and I Just Want To Be Your Everything are great songs by Andy Gibb.
@Ann Green I remember Ann. They were a gorgeous couple.
Yes Rip Andy, Robin and Maurice you left us way too soon. Thanks for your amazing talents 🙏
Andy died too young. A pity he didnt sing more songs.
I love watching your videos and the Expressions on your face when you hear the song for the first time thank you keep up the good work
The soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever was awesome 👍 and the movie was also. The Gibb brothers can blow and to see and hear them live was out of this world. This is old school music where the wrote and sang their songs. Four of the most talented brothers in music 🎵🎶.
Robin sings "I started a Joke" beautiful.
If you listen to "Fanny be tender", both Barry and Robin share the falsetto's, and it's actually Robin that really gets up there. Check it out, you'll enjoy!
My favourite BeeGees song
wooow con esta cancion me enamore de ti .... me encantan los videos que subes, me encantas tu ....espero no te molestes .. de el fin del mundo hay alguien profundamente enamorado de ti

Their youngest brother ANDY who passed as well had a smooth hit song produced by BARRY called " I Just Wanna Be Your Everything"...Classic song..
It’s 12:45am I’m watching you react to this classic & start singing along & my wife hears me at least she isn’t annoyed lol she did complement me lol though she does have work in the AM being Monday here lol
