Traveling Finnair Business from HEL - BKK. AGAIN! My third time on Finnair to Asia. Helsinki airport is a breeze. You simply cannot beat the service and value.
Spot on! Couldn't agree with you more. Not to mention a certain other airline that one of the cabin crew used to work on but he seemed relaxed, proactive and happy. They were all genuinely easy going and a joy to talk to. Can't fault the food and the blueberry juice. Have you tried their other products economy or Premium?
Great video, I look forward to trying the new Finnair A350 business class myself eventually. Flying Finnair is for me a least once a year tradition for me, great airline. Tyler
Thanks 😊 it has to be one of the best experiences we have ever had and I gather they have all been refitted now 👍 Have you tried their economy or Premium?
@@liftoffandtravel I've done several flights in both economy and business on the A350, A330 and A320 family with Finnair, I'm yet to try Premium, one day I shall! 😄✈
@@southernairs how would you rate it against some other favourites like Emirates, Etihad, BA? Given Finnair are quite heavy on Asia routes it seems a really nice alternative
@@liftoffandtravel I can only really compare them against airlines I've flown regularly. They're solid competition compare to EU airlines and far as I am concerned are a better OneWorld alternative flying to Europe than American.
@@southernairs sometimes the magic is lost in economy because of the ration of passengers to cabin crew but I've been surprised by 5* airlines where the cabin crew act burnt out. Unsurprising given the destinations they go to.
they have a very different product. flew the a350 from LHR-HEL-LHR, last year and enjoyed the business class cabin. could not get enough of the blueberry juice!
@@jimbohr that blueberry juice is delicious but I worry about the sugar content 😂 However if you are in the UK we have noticed that IKEA has started selling the undiluted version 😁
Thanks for the detailed report! I agree the new seat is grea, feels like a safe cocoon. It's great Finnair use widebodies on short hauls too, 2x daily to LHR on most days this season and also to AMS. Next winter A350 will be used on HEL-LPA, probably the best Biz product Las Palmas has ever seen :P The Angry Birds 11:53 still pops up here and there in Finland, even a new movie on the way, the birds have been one of the best selling Finnish export products ever :)
Thanks for watching 👀 people look at me funny when I say this is in the same league as Qatars Q sute. Oh wow! Is Las Palmas that popular? Certainly an upgrade. I admit I think I've seen the TV show or something of angry birds. What's a bigger export Angry Birds or the Moonmins?
@@liftoffandtravel Yeah a daily A350 to LPA sounds a lot, though AY has a long history of sending widebodies to the Canaries. I once had an A340 to LPA myself, remember MD-11 too. Moomins are the all time export kings! There's even a Moomin theme park in Japan, in Saitama prefecture near Tokyo.
@@mikrokupu I'll note it who knows could make for a good way to get there. I admit I never realised as a kid that it wasn't a British TV show. Mind blown 😁📺
Widebodies on intra-european routes are always welcomed, even in economy. On top of the LHR and AMS routes the A350s seem to also be going to MUC this summer 5 to 6 times a week 😉
Can you give a step-by-step guide of how you passed through Schengen to non-Schengen and back again, and what you had to say for both passport controls? I am doing an Amsterdam departure in October on AY1302 and want to see the OneWorld lounge :) Travelling on a non-EU passport BTW
@@RodSwift Based on a British passport when I went to the immigration they were confused and asked why I was going through when my flight was in this section. I stated that I was going to the One World lounge. After a small amount of thinking they said that's fine. I guess they were concerned about me leaving enough time to come back through. They probably have this every so often so are used to it.
@@liftoffandtravel Thanks for this response. Was it difficult coming back through, or did the fact you had a Schengen flight assist with the non-Schengen to Schengen passport control? :)
@LiftoffandTravel Then again, I see that Schengen to Non-Schengen can also use e-gates (if applicable) for the appropriate passport? My passport is eligible for departures to non-Schengen countries, but have to go through manual passport control to enter Schengen area...
@@RodSwift no problem. I honestly can't remember if they even asked me. If they did I only said "I just went to the One World lounge" Interestingly if you are then connecting on to Longhaul at Helsinki when I was flying Helsinki to Amsterdam I was told by the lounge I can't use the international one because I'm only travelling within Europe. So didn't try it.
@@RodSwift it's a bit of blur now. The other issue I had is because I have a UK and sadly as someone told me a 'Brexit' 😢 passport I needed to get a stamp
The review is good. But the thumping techno in between does my head in. The video is nice and calm and then in between there is a blast of music makes it hard to enjoy. Thats just my opinion though
@@juzzi79shanti40 thanks for the feedback. We deliberately particularly in newer videos the music is actually reduced to half and it tails in so not jarring. Not everyone likes the same music so it's tricky. I remember watching someone else's review and they had hard core rock at the beginning which seemed intense. I have considered more jazz easy going music as it tends to be less intense. Food for thought 🍲

Do you know how long Finnair is using the A350 on the Amsterdam Helsinki route for? Tempted to book a flight!
I haven't done to much research in to the dates but I noticed it's also available next year as well
Its once or sometimes twice a day. It has been on the route now like year or two? There is no reason why they would take it off from route😊
