Stockwell II definitely won this comparison. But the Emberton is what I can afford lol. I guess it's all about personal preference, I bought the Emberton as a replacement speaker because I broke my old one. If I were younger, I'd definitely go beyond my means to get the Stockwell II and listen to all the loud songs I used to listen to. I listen more on ambient sounds and frequency music, y'know, mind alignment things lol. Both speakers are awesome as their own. The 20 hours playback is also a plus so I can stay focus on day, and use it for a peaceful sleep at night.
Great detailed video man, helped me make my decision 🙏🏾 Interesting though at 1:04 you call them Full range drivers on the Stockwell 2, thought maybe it would’ve been considered a “tweeter” because (maybe, but I’m not too sure) most of the frequency range would’ve been coming from the woofer?? Hello! Thank you for this comparison and that you actually displayed the graphs with dB-freq! What I felt was that with Emberton, I feel like I am being robbed of the mids. I don’t care about the base as much as with the mid and high accuracy. And in that conparison, I feel like I get more nuances out of Stockwell.
I guess the problem is that when googling for best wireless portable speakers, there is a bloat of lazy advertisement pages with vague tests and comparisons, many not even having phisycally tested devices, just compiled claims from manufacturers’ websites. So if I want to buy one, it is all emotional appeal. In this review I heard the actual differences, and meaaurement results. Thanks! And in my region, these speakers are only available in e-shops, not in retail shops, so I cannot go and test them in real life. Just buy and pray that they are good.
