I bought one of these. Compared to the Marshall Kilburn ii and the Stockwell ii, this speaker nearly tops those for value and size. In here you'll see the Marshall Emberton compared to nearly every other Marshall Speaker in the lineup, even the UrbanEars Ralis which is a steal. - Навчання та стиль
This is the most down to earth, practical review I’ve ever seen , for any product, much appreciated.

One of the best if anything the best electronics review I’ve seen. Clean, thorough, demonstrative and authentic. Thanks!
Happy to see that you still making video, please make more.
Best sound review i have ever watched. Good job man
Superb review. Just bought the Emberton. Absolutely love it!
Just bought one after watching your review and what an amazing little speaker!
Raad je 'm nog aan? =)
love the way he reviews products. clear, natural and comfortable
I watched your review and man I bought Emberton. You made me buy it, and guess what I love it!
Thank you Danny for this great review and comparison. There are so many different reviews on the internet from a technical standpoint, but sometimes you just want to compare speakers without having to know (or need to know) the minutia - it is easy enough to compare specs on paper.
holy crud! Thank you so much Ryan!!!!!! It's unbelievably nice to know that making this video was that helpful to you. I love doing them and you made my day :)
good review , simple, clear & direct at the relevants points.
Really so thankful for this video,.. not just enjoyed, got so much clarity which will help me in my decision of buying one of these.. AWESOME YOU ARE
Thanks for the review! I have a teeny BT Speaker with great sound but I fancy this small Marshall type 😉
FINALLY!!! someone thats reviewing the damn sound for once thank you i was going to go for the Sonos but hell this sound thing sounds fantastic wow!!!
Great clear video dude!!
And super speaker like always@Marshall
I on the other hand like the sound of the killburn 2 i got one last year it has amazing bass and highs only the mids are a little muffled but it’s filling the room with warm sound 👍🏻😊
Just ordered an emberton after watching your videos! Thanks for that!
Good review...Loved that soundtrack you played...which one is it?
Music is from the UA-cam Audio Library: Sweet Release - Dan Lebowitz & Regrets - Causmic
Just bought a mobile home. Emberton does the job for me!
Thank you. Great review. Keep it up 👍🏽
Best Speaker review I've ever seen💯
Good reviews, man. Subscribed.
Really interested in buying it. Have you had the chance using the speakers while taking calls? Lack of a speakerphone functionality’s what’s holding me back on getting this. I’m worried the person on the other end of the line on my calls may hear echoes while using this during calls.
Hope to get your feedback. Great videos! 👍🏾👍🏾
Nice review. Keep them coming. 👍👍
Best review all-over
and best little speaker all-over..
for that price amazing
I like the special effects of the exterior comparison 😀
we have a Kilburn (1) and love it. Most full sounding / non distorting portable speaker I have encountered yet, and great build quality and battery life.
That's good to know! I've noticed some of the first gen speakers were really good. Thanks for commenting:)

Just bought one because of you!
At 8:49 I noticed that Bass and Trebble knobs went to the max for Stockwell and Kiburn in which you have to tweak it right to make the sound better. 😅
Noticed that same thing too...
Nice review! clear and fair
Hi Danny, great review! I'm just looking for some speaker, woudl like to have one small speaker for hiking and some bigger to go with me to the cottage and which I can use at home. Emberton sounds great, much more mids compare to others but its to expensive for a small speaker compare to JBL Flip 5. So question is, shoud I buy Killburn 2 or wait for new Kilburn 3 or some more bigger and powerfull Emberton if there will be another bigger model of Emberton? Do you have some informations if there will be new models available? Kilburn 2 is on market more than two years so maby there will be new model soon. Thank You very much. Petr
Thanks for a great review.
Which Marshall or other speakers do you recommend the most for outdoors? I'm a skateboarder so it has to have high max. volume because it's always loud around us, but it also has to be as portable as possible. I'm listening a lot to Rock and Hip Hop stuff.
Great review, I really like the Emberton..
Good Morning! I would like to know if it is possible to disable the extremely loud sound when turning the device on / off, moving forward / backward from the track and also, when the maximum volume is reached, I find these sounds unnecessary and uncomfortable, thank you.
Great review thanks! ⭐
Dude the Killburn 2 killing it. Best sound of all 4.
I have the Killburn and it is by far my favorite .
I have Kilburn 2. Sound is good but compressed. Stockwell 2 is more open sounding speaker.
I have killburn2 and I love it.
@@Nogitsune_Yako try the woburn 2. It shits on all of em.
I have Killburn 2 great speaker i reccomend
Awesome review. Thank you very much.
Very helpful, thx a lot man! It really helped me to decided where to spend money :D .
Nice review fella 👍 I think it’s the Emberton it is 👌
I just bought one in the cream colour and I love it.
However, I can't turn it off, not even by holding down the power/bluetooth button for 2 seconds. After 10 min or so the light and battery indicator just turned off. How do you turn it off?
I am listening to this on my Marshall Stanmoore, They all sound good
Is it better than xb33 or jbl charg4
Is it better then xb33
@@jessethebestofall bro my xb33 connect to 2 mobile at same time..so if i play a song than other mobile can also llay song and my song stopped automatically. Hows is it possible bcz if speaker in neighbors range they can use my speaker lol
Is it better than Emberton?
I just got this. It’s such an amazing speaker.
How is the emberton
Loved marshall speakers. Not anymore. I got a Woburn, torn it down, and it uses the exact same board as the stanmore. Two subs are literally wired in parallel. The bass distortion is so bad I thought it was fake. And I found out it isn't. It just really suck for the size. Selling it right now.
Nice video. I would not want the Emberton for regular outdoor use but as you said, very much road worthy companion when you cannot have your Stanmore with you. If not the Urbanears is the best, just a shame it's a bloody cube!
Want to really move some air put a Marshall JTM 45 through their 1959 2x12 cab. Interesting review, had no idea Marshall made Bluetooth speakers.
What were the songs/tracklist you played? thanks!
I like the emberton sound quality. Listing in my marshall minor II.. 😁😁😊😊😊🥰🥰 Soon emberyon coming up. Thank you for the view I like it.
Emberton nailed the show 🎧😍
Great review
Very nice review thanks. I wonder how the quality varies in manufacturing, because I have bot a Kilburn (original) and the Stockwell II. Both are designed for different purposes (e.g. real portability), and I'll have to say they both perform very well for my needs.
The Kilburn kicks ass with solid bass and a warmth sounds, kind of signature Marshall. Being the size it is it is well suited for moving around the house, taking it outside for a barbeque, to the beach etc (going around in a car).
The Stockwell II goes everywhere with me as if fits comfortably in my laptop back, and gives me great music in hotel rooms. You can't have a party with it but it is really good for filling a hotel room with quality sound.
I started looking at the Emberton as it is even more portable that the Stockwell II (space and weight are huge factors). I would imaging by sheer physical limitations it couldn't produce as much bass as the Stockwell II, but would be enough for music and watching movies on my tablet.
So I think, depending on your needs, you couldn't go too far wrong with any of these. They are simply great.
Ugly kid thanks for sharing your experience. I'm personally waiting for marshall to give the stockwell II an internal update with new drivers and battery so that it takes some lessons learned from the embertons success.
@@DannyPops Yeah. Also, if they added multi-speaker pairing, they would be unbeatable!
For what it's worth, my Marshall Emberton needed a bit of "burn-in" time. During my initial listens, I was ready to send it back -- especially due to lacking bass (amount AND definition) and overpowering mids. After just a few hours of playing time, it's finally settling in. The bass is there, finally, and it sounds really good. The mids have also toned a bit, though it might just be offset by the bass showing up.
Do you mean it kinda opens up later? I have received mine today and I immediately wrapped it back up and want to send it back.. I own a Marshall Acton so I don't know if it is because its a lot less powerful to what I'm used to hearing? Do you think I should give it another chance?
@@ugurozdemir6573 Yep, that's what I mean.... it opens up after using it for a bit. That said, the size of those drivers is only going to do so much. Are you lacking low-end, or just overall volume?
@@Yipcanjo low ends are ok, not great.. it just doesn’t seem to fill the room as much as I’d wanted it to especially with the lack of bass. If I sit close to it say about a meter and a half it sounds better than if I am at the end of the room. I just love how compact it is and the overall build just feels so solid.. I’ll give it more testing time, but It’ll be a shame if I do return it in the end because it just looks so amazing!
@@ugurozdemir6573 It does look and feel amazing! Best built bluetooth speaker I've ever had. As far as "room filling sound", you should also try placing it in a corner, on a window sill, or near a wall. You'd be surprised at how much the reflection from solid surfaces can increase the overall volume AND bass response.
@@Yipcanjo Thanks for the advice, very helpful - I’ll test for a couple more days and see how I get on..
Just bought myself the emberton after watching this! Can’t wait for it to arrive :)))
hi
So ur experience ?
@@todd1992 hey haha
@@DopAmms Such a good speaker! Definitely sounds better in the corner of a room or close to a wall. I’ve even had people point out how good of a speaker it is. Would definitely recommend!
Nice review.. helpful
All those are very attractive speakers. Really good looking!!!
It seems that my new emberton pairs only to my mobile but not to any other device (other mobiles, iPad etc). Is this normal?
What the name of the first beat you played
Emberton sounded really bright but could use a bit more bass.
If I put it on a table it sound good but if it is close to a wall or a corner of a room then it sounds amazing
@@Dara-bo7sg I guess it similar with how the Stockwell works, When near wall the sound good to fill up a room experience.
hi what is the title of the music you are playing... thanks
Kilburn made my phone vibrate a bit. Maybe it has better sound or treble. Idk??
Can't decide which one to pick ahaha, love your cat 🥺💖
Lol thank you! Clovis was the best cat.
Sir if i use a usb adapter ( and insert pendrive) on its charger port can i play pendrive music ?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good video dude
emberton,I love this name, and buy it already
Each one is unique, Emberton is more clear, Killburn II is really louder in bass even outdoors
Hi Danny, my favourite speaker was the second one in the outdoor demo. Unfortunately I’m totally blind, so I completely lost it as to which speaker you are playing at which point. I couldn’t care less about looks, just sound! Please Could you tell me therefore which was the second speaker you played in the outdoor demo? It seems to have the base and slightly brighter treble. Two of these sounded absolutely rubbish, so I definitely don’t want to buy the wrong one. Thank you very much for any help, Rob
The urban ears Ralis
Best review ever
Nice kitty! Nice review!
Just ordered the smallest, thanks.
This or the new sonos roam? i cant decide :(
how is Marshall emberton in comparison to b&o beoplay A1 ?
I want to buy this. Do u think it’s better than HomePod mini. ?
I suspect that your Stockwell II is either defective or counterfeit. It explains the inconsistencies between your observations (low volume, lack of bass, poor sound stage, etc.) and those of other YT reviewers (e.g. Oluv, Alan Ross, etc.) and certainly explains the "no sound until volume is at 8" issue that you observed. There are a number of articles/videos online that explain how to spot common counterfeits. I am curious if this indeed the case, or whether there is a genuine quality control issue. I own the black/brass version of the Stockwell II (purchased 2021). It sounds fantastic and does not exhibit any of the issues you described.
Thank you for the feedback! You know it may be time to get another one and try it out. The original was purchased from marshallheadphones directly so I doubt it is fake, but I had so many other speakers at the time maybe It's worth comparing the two as I love the look of the stockwell.
Which is better beats pill+ or this one
Stockwell II you have to set up the audio, which you can do there and not on the emberton (which is done for generic listener that cannot expect to know music and different sounds). Which settings you had when recording? It’s useless thing if you don’t say that honestly.
Also stockwell makes a similar sound when turned on or connected.
I have a stockwell II. I agree you have to put it at least on 6. Don’t know why is that. To me the emberton looks great btw. I love minimalistic design.
No matter where I adjusted the bass and treble the stockwell was not good.
Are these Marshall bluetooth speakers for guitar players or people who play records?
Yo its still good in 2023? Should i buy? Please answer
I know the killburn sounds better; The other simply lack the bass response. I also know that the kilburn doesn't get loud enough which is why I own a tuffton. I've gifted kilburn's to people. I personally only first gen kilburn, a tuffton, a first gen stanmore and a first generation stockwell
My daughter plays travel softball and we need a portable BT speaker for their "walk-up" songs.
Would you reccomend this over something like the JBL Extreme 2 that has come down to the $219 price point?
I would imagine the Extreme 2 would be better since you mentioned softball which is outdoors and might need more power. The emberton is loud but I'm sure the extreme 2 has much more oomf.
Just bought it 👍
Well, I love my Tufton.
I want all, I started buying kilburn 2...
I bought this Marshall product, I am very satisfied with it. But something is really missing "a protective transport cover"
Message to france 😊
Is it me or the emberton sounds loud and clear
I love the cat 😂❤️
thanks for putting this together. i was honestly leaning toward stockwell until i got to the point in the video where yous aid it sounds horrible lol. obvviously have to go more off your comments than how it actually sounds through my pc speakers....
Yeah its very subjective and some here in the comments have strong options about the stockwell, but to my ears the emberton does everything the stockwell strived but failed to deliver on in terms of being a small attractive speaker with punchy audio.
Love the video and you as a creator but can't understand why you wouldn't go to the park or a slightly nicer setting to do the outside test. Other than that the production value was amazing and your interior set looked great. Was wondering at the start of the video why you don't have more subscribers and I think that would have polished off the video nicely and put the video as a whole up a tier. Great work and thanks for the review. Hope you keep making videos😁
thanks! The crappy place is my house in the outdoor test. :)
Is the audio both coming from your lav mic? or you have a separate mic recording the speakers?
inside its being recorded by the studio large diaphragm and outside by the lavalier.
Is this available in India?
Emberton VS Bose Soundlink Mini?
Really appreciate you, Darling Danny. 💋
can you do vs. bose revolve. more power
Name of the songs you played?
good job! thanks
Compare to the bose soundlink mini 2 what do you recommend?
Marshall is better at higher volume and louder go for marshall emberton or audio pro t3
Hey, quick question, does this work with Ipod 6th gen? Since my ipod is compatible with Airpods will it be compatible with this as well? Thank you!:)
If its Bluetooth then it will work from my understanding.
Aw the cat is so cute 😍😊😚
