In April 2024, CyberAgent (Cygames' parent company) released financial documents that listed Project Awakening under its future plans for upcoming games beyond FY2024, with a TBD release date.
I have been playing videogames since the days of the COMMODORE 64 back in the '80s. Experience has thought me to never be that hyped over anything. But as a History nut I cannot help it but be incredibly excited about the sequel of that masterpiece that "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" is.
Same here. I love so much Kingdom come deliverance, when i play it it stays in my mind, i think how i can do this or this in the game. Same i can’t wait for the 2.
Never finished KCD. I'm the type of person to rush through leveling up, finding all the treasures, just so I could not die in nearly every combat scenario. Eventually I lost track of where I was and just kept restarting. I loved the combat and the exploration, but Henry knows how much I've died.
You can level up pretty much everything in Skalitz. Only speech, alchemy, pickpocketing, houndmaster, horsemanship, and a few other skills cannot be (fully) leveled up. I do this for Hardcore, and I've played Hardcore on console, so it is doable. Just make sure to take a break from the main quest at the right time.
You need to dedicate a similar amount of time to learning skills in KCD as you would in real life. You wouldn't pick up a sword and within a day know how to use it, let alone against multiple enemies, and KCD uses a sim-like approach so you really do need to train for days at a time to give Henry any chance in combat. Next time you play, don't go to Neuhof until you've trained all weapon types with Bernard to around level 10. Getting into alchemy can help too, once you're brewing Schnapps consistently, you can save at your leisure before every fight! :)
KCD is one of the most unique and best games of all time. I am so exited for the second game, i almost lost hope because of the long wait without announcements!
This list is just an excuse to talk more about KCD2. I AM SO EXCITED!!! You said it had a cult following and yes, I am one of the cultist. KCD was the most immersive game I have ever played and I can't wait to play the sequel.

Currently playing kingdom come deliverance. Didnt enjoy it when it came out in 2018, tried over the years to play again but only the last month ive managed to really enjoy the game its brilliant
If you enjoy the "medieval sim" realism of it, you should try it on Hardcore Mode to get more immersed. Not having a map marker makes you have to read the map and notice landmarks and sometimes even checking where the sun sets to know your north and south.
It’s a game where you intentionally suck in the beginning because you literally start off as a novice. Just about everything is skill based and forces you to git gud
@@ActNasty5 the game in general is entirely skilled based and it’s not just the combat either. You literally have to train and git gud at it. It’s janky yes but that’s kind of the whole point.

The Awakener: Risen looks pretty good. I'm currently enjoying Dragon's Dogma 2, but was disappointed there's no mounts and mounted combat. The game has a large world with limited fast travel. It would have been cool to have horses or something.
There was no news about it for about a year so I wasn't even sure if it is still coming out. They also released a roguelite spinoff called The Awakener: Forgotten Oath which looked very barebones.
One game that I think deserves a mention is Dread Delusion. It's currently in early access on steam, and while not really medieval in setting, it is a very interesting and very weird RPG, with a lot of Morrowind specifically in it's DNA.
Agree totally, if black pearl get it right crimson desert should be great and find it odd that they missed it as it’s been mentioned on this channel a few times now

@JohnMarston-sf1vkAsset use is fine; it's why assets were created. Wholesale asset flips are not fine, so I'm happy for Quinfall to surprise me. I suspect it won't.
Really curious how Crimson Desert and Where Winds Meet pan out. Both of these seem to be aiming to do for this gen what The Witcher 3 did last gen, being quite ambitious with their open-world systems, while setting up a core narrative with a defined protagonsit role.
I feel like a game on Chrisopher Paolinis Inheritance cycle would be INSANE if done right. Playing as a rider during the golden age before the fall, being able to fly around on dragons and have aerial combat against other riders or Lethrblaka would be INSANE. Could be a great blend of swordfighting and fantasy aerial combat.
Perfect choice for #1. That will be a dream come true if it actually comes out this year as planned. Amazing that KCD came out 7 years after Skyrim, and now 6 years after that we’re about to see KCD II well before TES VI. And frankly at this point I think I’m more psyched about KCD 2 than I would be for TES VI anyway.
The Elder Scrolls series is far and away my favorite, but I totally agree that they've sat on it for far, far too long. Especially considering Starfield's big ol meh of a reception. Arena 1994, Daggerfall 1996, Morrowind 2002, Oblivion 2006, Skyrim 2011...and now 13 years later the entirety of our knowledge of VI is a small glimpse of a land that could be any frickin' continent.
I literally just got into an online debate with a person about this! He got hyper sensitive about Sea of Thieves, you know the game where you sail around to the same islands over and over collecting chests, skulls or crates 😂 but they have knives now!
