I love this channel so much and he definitely deserves to be more popular. he’s doing high level video and reviews out of his own pocket, his own time while also working full time and trying to have a normal life. This "olive" color way was the first to sell out at many shops and many websites. It was an unexpected first look. I like that it doesn't look like anything else really but draws ideas and inspiration from other shoes. Not all shoes fit everyone's feet or personality the same so it's natural to have mixed reviews. It functions great in my opinion. It's an actual skate shoe that has ideas behind it to benefit ones skateboarding skill.
I like these shoes. I think they are the sneaker of the year honestly. This is probably the most different shoe I have seen in a while. Nike with Ishod really open the innovation book up on this shoe. Those white laces in that color way is hard.
Love that performance over looks, is the focus of your reviews. As looks are subjective, I think they're a nice looking shoe it wasn't something that sold me, but now that you've reviewed them, my local skate shop should thank you cos I'm grabbing some soon
Currently wearing the Black / Natural Gum Colorway and I think these are much better for daily wear than the colorway you reviewed. Totally agree with them feeling long, totally tripped walking up a stair or two the first couple days.

hey I just wanted to say I watched you video about the vans pro slip on and it was quite a while back but I saw how hard you work working on the unbreakable laces and im glad you succeeded in doing that and creating a shoe lace for skaters!
Man, I just got these shoes in white leather and I don’t like how they dig into my big toe joint. I only got them like 2 hours ago though. I take a sort of pleasure in breaking shoes in also. But I love white shoes with a black sole. The trick is to relace them looser on the bottom for more room, tight on the middle loop and tight on the top. Some shoes you can lace them once and then slip your foot out and back in, not these when laced optimally. They have a react insole too, medium durometer. Also the laces look interesting. I don’t know if I’m ready to skate these even though I got them on sale. I also ordered one of your laces. There was a few competing brands but I like that you are just building up your brand and bringing a new product on the market. I hope you keep making cool stuff for skaters and I know those shoelaces aren’t going to last a lifetime but they will last like 20x times as long. I’ll probably order a few more. I need black ones (and I like how they have a tinned look) but I’m kinda broke til next week and the white ones were essential. I wish I knew what they were made of though. Please share if you can just for the sake of knowledge of what I’m skating. From a business standpoint noone wants to say, but if I’m buying a delrin guitar pick I’d rather know that it’s a specific polymer or composite than being told it’s the magic pick or something lol.

i agree 100% with the shoe looking long, got me out here feeling like i’m a size 13 or something, good dunk alternative too, seen many people say it’s a dunk replacement but i wouldn’t say it replaces them, overall a pretty good shoe tbh
These shoes feel super narrow out the box. The factory lace job is actually the issue, just fully unlace them and place your foot in before re-lacing. Wide foot approved.

I noticed you wear an ankle brace to skate. I have recurring ankle problems and am getting surgery soon. Really questioning whether afterwards I should always brace up for skating to ‘protect my investment’ so to speak or if that is going to weaken the ankle over time. What’s your reason for wearing it and is it a long term thing or due to a recent injury?
I don't know if You've heard but multiple people already said there are minor quality issues. One including those hidden loops. Mines have been stitched on to the lace holes so no way to use them.
You should try the DVS Comanche shoes, I got them for $77 on Amazon and they have a very classic look with the big tongue like something you would see from the early 2000's. I would really like to see your personal take on the shoe, they are decent for the price in my opinion.
Please do a review of the VANS ROWLEY! 🙏 It recently had it’s 20th Anniversary release with some pretty cool updates. I love that shoe and it was my Second official skate shoe as a youngster after the original VANS TNT.
I just got a pair of these but the left shoe is clicking when i walk. I have no idea why or how to make it stop but it’s a bit annoying/embarrassing when I’m walking around and people look down at my foot. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix that? Thanks for the video!

The only thing I'm sketched out about these shoes is the mesh and the plastic layer on the side, it's way too thin. Feel like griptape can easily tear through that mesh and plastic easily

There's loops on the inside of the bottom 3 laces that I can weave the laces through to have them protected better

PS..the first 3 lace holes have an inside lacing system to cut down on laces being dug into on flip tricks!
