In a true democracy, voters set the term limits. We obviously have a rigged system.
It’s pretty simple, elected government employees should be mandated to retire at the age they say the average citizen can retire to start earning benefits. It might seem counter intuitive, but when they keep trying to raise the age of retirement benefits they will alienate that many more voters. It’s going to be hard to get voters to turn out for you who you are telling need to keep working because you want to stay in office longer.
While Im on the topic of tying things in to what the average voter experiences, all wage increases need to be tied into the federal minimum wage. Something like they can only earn 16x an hour what the federal minimum wage is. Currently this means the highest federal employee would be able to earn 240k per year. It would then scale down from there.

The 1st time I came across that N word was when I was watching _A Haunting In Connecticut_ in '09 when actor Elias Koteas explains to a couple of teenagers why someone would collect the eyelids of dead people. Ya and it's not just in politics. We have elderly people in our workplace as well. A great pension plan to boot, yet some of them hang on for no other reason than Ego. I think society has us brainwashed into thinking that you must work 40 hrs a week at a job, or you're nothing? I just don't get it.

I'm no medical professional, but I saw my aunt do the exact same thing when I was a kid. The only difference was that she wasn't having difficulty speaking. She just froze. It wasn't a stroke, but a seizure. They look very similar and I'm pretty sure it was one or the other.
Maybe try shutting him off and back on again.

I noticed he never blinked the whole time he was silent…and right before he got turned away, I saw his eyes starting to go upward, as if they were about to roll back. Freaky.
I'm a Neurologist, this patient definitely had a seizure. What caused the seizure could be a number of different things; in some cases even a medication like Wellbutrin can cause seizures in certain people. But definitely this was a seizure.
