This is exactly what I thought (a secret meeting) it makes so much sense Gray! He didn’t want anyone to know, especially his family considering that lifestyle would go against how he was raised! I’m just gonna say it, I think he met up with a male who had bad intentions.
I felt that as well.. he could be bisexual iMO!
But why would he meet someone without taking keys and his wallet? Regardless, if there were an accident, the meet up partner has waited too long to report it without getting in trouble. I’m afraid we won’t know what happened unless LE can locate the other person.

I live in Corpus Christi. This occurred two blocks from my home. You've provided information that makes the most sense. That area is dark and isolated at night. I wondered why there were so many intense searches going on there. Police and volunteers have been all over that area.
Sounds very plausible and a x meet-up is something he wouldn't necessarily share w/roommates. ✅️
Hopefully LE submitted warrants early on for his social media accounts and those warrant returns are back now (or will be soon) and whomever he was communicating with is identified. I pray they find Caleb soon, but it’s not sounding like it will be a happy ending. 😢 Thanks Gray!

Nothing good happens after midnight. Kids laugh at that though, and I understand that. Weirdos and thieves live for their night activities. That's when they're out. Kids need to be extra careful and not out there like it's noon on a busy street.

If it was Caleb's account... the family is very Christian. He would never want his parents to know that he was doing something they would chastise him for. So, he likely would have pulled out all stops to keep the other side of his life from being discovered out of shame or guilt. If LE can identify the account that is key. People never think something bad will happen to them, sadly. Thank you, for taking the time to research this as a good possibility!
He wouldn't have wanted his parents to know about this for sure and he also wouldn't have wanted his roommates and other friends to know about his hookups. It makes sense that he would walk out to the bridge to meet the person so that his roommates wouldn't know about it and the person he was meeting wouldn't know precisely where he lived.

Maybe Caleb thought he was going to be paid for his services. And wasn't.
I saw some screenshots alleged to be between Caleb's dad and someone who had put this information out there. The dad was extremely upset about it and said both he and police have known about this account from early on. He said the information about the account being put out there only served to embarrass his son. So, it does seem like this really is Caleb's account.
Or his dad is in denial about his son.
Embarrassment? He was in college and a grown adult. Caleb had NOTHING to be ashamed of.
@@naturistfred Caleb was making an effort to keep this part of his life private. It's not something that he wanted others to know about and he had his own reasons for that. I can understand his dad wanting to respect Caleb's privacy. It's good that the police have been aware of this from early on. Hopefully this will help to find Caleb.

The oso hiking trails can be accessed via the end of Holly road at the park, which is not as far as the preserve you have circled. The first left on your map, instead of turning right to go down to the preserve, you go straight into a parking lot. It is very dark there at night, and often cars parked there.

He knew he was gonna meet someone that's why he took the dog back home I hope they Have Cameras out there, That's The only Logical Thing that makes sense . after that post , he wouldn't have took the Fur baby back home ,The Picture he took of the Bridge was the Meeting spot ,, So was it his friend he sent the picture to Then he said he didn't get the picture

I live in the same city. This spot know for years for ‘hookups’. I looked at photos on his account and marks on the hand match up so likely could be home. I drove over to the area and logically the person would have met him at the bridge for pick up. Hopefully LE has a way to look up the other user’s account information and the camera at stop light picked up license plate number.
Reminds of the cannibal case. The man had a few victims that had escaped but were too embarrassed to tell. His last victim didn't make it. He targeted young men who were hiding their preferences

Great work stringing these facts together Gray I'd definitely say this scenario sounds the most plausible based off of what youve put together so far. I would asssume that the investigators are onto this information already but ive also learned not too assume much of anything when it comes to these cases so maybe it would be wise to drop someone an email just in case they havent yet put 2 and 2 together.
Excellent job on this, it definitely seems like whatever happened has to be tied too this late night hook up he seemed to be setting up. It shouldnt be to difficult for the investigators to find out who the account belongs too that he was communicating with I'd imagine.

He was probably just a horny young dude looking to get off or experiment like tons of people do. This whole notion of him having a secret life or suddenly being “fully gay” or “bi” is dumb. Clearly he was on that site looking for females and maybe his LAST post or so he put “m4a” (male for anyone) probably because NO ONE was responding and he wanted oral sex. Everyone acting like he was secretly as gay as Elton John takes away the probability that he was just experimenting like tons of people do in college! Another case, Jason Landry, also 21yrs old, and went to Texas A&M. He went missing 3 years ago. Essentially vanished without a trace. I wonder if maybe he could have been into the same sort of thing as Cale, Meeting strangers online. Both Caleb and Jason’s cases are similar in many ways and fairly close in proximity.
Jason went to Texas state at San Marcos and that’s a good 3-4 hours away.
He actually disappeared in Luling. He took a wrong turn down a country road instead of the opposite direction to go towards Missouri City near Houston. But yes it is far away from Corpus Christi. But Jason Landry & Caleb Harris do look similar. I live closer to Luling & went to Texas State so Jason Landry's case has stayed on my mind. I really hope his parents fund some answers.

Bizarre circumstances - some podcaster had his dad on a couple years ago and dad acknowledged Jason was probably high on MJ based on info from his friends he was gaming with hours earlier. The theory that he hit his head when he wrecked which triggered that rare reverse hypothermia situation where he thought he was hot when in reality it was like 18 degrees that night seems plausible since they found his clothes in the road. But that area was supposedly covered with a fine tooth comb and no trace of anything else related to Jason was ever found? Baffling.
I felt like he was meeting someone as well. Parents always think they know their kids.
This makes so much sense. He is young and exploring his sexuality. Im sure his meeting had to be with another male and this male was not a good person and ended up hurting Caleb. 😢

They should check door cameras or any videos available all the way to the park. Also the FBI I think can get Cell Tower records to show Any phones that was using that tower at certain times.

If it’s all true and his phone was turned off right after he allegedly met with someone it only means that someone came with bad intentions. He had no reason to turn his phone off at those night hours

It's not unusual for college age kids to be on their parents plan or to have an app that allows approved contacts to see your location, though, so that is a possible explanation. Unless they find his phone they won't know why it stopped pinging.
@@liseromar3212 I know, but what are the chances that parents will look at his location at those hours? For him to worry about it they need to monitor his locations 24/7. It was very late night or very early morning . I don’t know.. I hope he comes back home safe and sound

They should be looking at nearby homes within a 15 minute radius. If the post was made at 2:15 and someone had to respond. It doesn't leave that much time to get there. Unless the person lives CLOSE
That would include the entire city, it doesn't take long to get from one end of town to the other.
His proximity to the freeway means that nearly anyone within 15 miles could be there in 15 minutes. This is unrealistic. It takes 15 minutes to go from Padre Island to his location. It takes 15 minutes to go from Crosstown to his location. Thats a lot of homes to look at.

Not really.He ordered takeout at 2:45am from home. The bridge pic was after 3 am. That person could be living 45 minutes away. And that’s quite a radius of area.

It's been said that several people (not Gray Hughes) have verified the bracelet that Caleb always wore were seen in the pictures that were posted on the forum. Just because he was a red blooded young man, who was interested in girls, doesn't mean he's not a wonderful and responsible young man. But if it's really his account, it would explain a lot of things in reference to where he might be and point LE in a direction to look. This could be the breakthrough they are looking for in finding him. God bless.

If true then there is a good chance the friend that received the picture of the bridge knows about his late night meets. My friends sometimes send images or addresses or place names of where we are having dodgy encounters.

Wow. This definitely seems like a major clue. Good work. I hope there is some cell and internet activity and video footage that leads to finding him from this.
Maybe.....Since it was a secret hook-up, Caleb decided to turn his phone off at 2:58 AM so no one would know where he was going. Then he walked to the meeting place/bridge, and someone strange acting showed up...not who he expected! Or maybe it was a setup and there was more than one person in the car that showed up. As he is talking to the person or people who show up, and they are telling him, "Come over here, get in, lets go," Caleb gets a bad feeling about the situation and turns his phone back on at 3:03 AM. Perhaps Caleb attempts to get a snapchat photo of whoever it was as he is walking away. As Caleb is attempting to get a snapchat photo, the BAD people jump out of their car and attack Caleb, knock the phone from his hand, knock Caleb to the ground, and proceed to beat him up and put him in their car and drive away. This could possibly explain the reason for the strange snapchat photo of the bridge, as Caleb was attempting to get away from his assailants when the snapchat photo was taken. It could also explain the reason for the 5 minute time gap when his phone was turned off at 2:58 AM and then turned back on at 3:03 AM when the weird snapchat photo of the bridge was taken.
But he walk to the bridge? Is so long for a person without shoes.

In CC lots of people walk around barefoot. It’s a beach town. Especially outdoorsy types which Caleb is. He’s walking in the parking lot barefoot so no problem walking down the sidewalk on the short walk to this bridge.

From the beginning, my instinct was that Caleb had gone to meet a hookup and the reason none of his friends and family knew about it was because they are fairly traditional (seemingly) and a hookup is not the kind of thing you immediately text your dad about if you're a young man, and especially not if your dad is conservative and you plan to meet "anyone".

Two men were arrested in Nov. 23 for trying to abduct a man off the street in Corpus Cristi for unknown reasons. Men get trafficked to.
I think he left his shoes and all his stuff. So his roommates would think he went to bed.

I feel sorry for his parents and close family and friends. Caleb is young and exploring life and exploring things in life. He might have ended up in a twisted situation. On another FB page, I read Caleb had been the one to turn off his phone because his parents had an app where they could track him wherever he went 24 hours a day. He might have been trying to escaoe overprotective parenting. He seemed to want to go away and explore life.

The only way he could have privacy was to turn the phone off. He was bi sexual and was rebelling in his own way against his conservative strict parents. He was 21 and his hormones were in full force.

This is the first theory that makes sense to me. Every other theory does not really fit (= roommates have been ruled out, absolutely no signs of a car accident near the bridge, no body in the water, certainly no runaway etc)

I believe his keys were left in the apartment. The dog belongs to him and his 2 roommates/was the first day they had her. His summer job was going to be in Alaska, not Colorado. A few days ago, his father was given some new information that won't be released to the public. Am wondering if they rec'd Caleb's phone data and discovered your new theory.....I know, the theory may not be him at all as you say, but, I am very curious now that these 'pieces' are falling into place.

**To explain his last Snap, I believe he sent that pic to share where he was standing out there. Sent it to the person who picked him up and then also with his friend (so that someone else knew his last location). I’ve done this 1.5-million times. Either sent a pic via text or a Snap to make it super easy for whoever is picking me up to see where I’m at exactly. (Not to strangers, fortunately, just to friends picking me up) but have also many times sent to a girlfriend just so that another person knows exactly where I’m at if it’s late at night.
Well, it sure makes more sense that this is what happened than aliens or a flying big foot took him!

First theory I’ve heard that makes any sense
There are a lot of women who posts to meet with men online for whatever purpose they agree on, but little does the dude know, the woman brought a friend who’s hiding! Once dude arrives to meet with the woman, the man jumps out and robs (or worse) the dude.

I saw this theory on the find Caleb Harris group a while back. I thought it was suspicious that the person that responded has a “deleted” account. That person either knows more or are a suspect
well that person was recent so likely not related.
The oso trail I believe he is refering to isn’t that main parking lot you are referring too. It’s actually closer. The corner of oso parkway and holly has a small parking lot known for meeting up, and is actually a known hook up spot even for male on male things (as told to me by someone I work with who grew up here). And it would be about .5 miles shorter that what you’re saying. Now with that I see people saying his family is Christian… you can’t be trying to tip toe around when you’re trying to locate someone. It’s skeptical… no one knows for sure but any possibility need to be looked at.
The parking lot you point out, it’s gated and closed at the time he went missing. And doesn’t open until after sun rise. The parking lot is closed nights.

I think he left his shoes wallet and keys so his roommates thought he was home and asleep, turned his phone to airplane mode so he couldn’t be tracked on Snapchat etc. He was probably meeting a man and he took extra precautions to keep it a secret.

With all this information, it seems like police and detectives would already know who he was talking with online that night. They should already have the person who took him. There is always a trail, modern day electronic trail of communications between people. Law enforcement has dropped the ball on this crime and case or they have the suspect identified and are trying to dot their I's.

Thank you for laying out a theory that makes sense to me. I believe you could be right and what’s frustrating is that I’m sure police know this b/c from a local news video they had a search party across the bay in the same area which made me wonder what lead them to that area. I know police have to hold this type of info close for their investigation but if there is a predictor out there (especially in a college town) everyone needs to know. May also mean the family does not want him remembered in that way. Very disturbing case. Prayers for family.

there's a mistake at 7:30. You have him taking a right on Oso Pkwy, but that's the parking lot to the hiking trail right there. That takes .5 miles off the trip, and there's a back way through a field to get there, if he wanted to walk it'd be well under a mile. You had him going to the Oso bay preserve, not the hiking trail

I’m sure the police knew from day one. The family doesn’t want this information out there. They continue to this day to leave this out of the timeline. Disservice to the community and those who actually want to help and fine Caleb. This is nothing to hide. It’s ok. He’s a 21 yo boy. Totally normal. Only sensible scenario.

@@Lisa-xm4bw It was Alaska I heard the dad in an interview....but the dad said Colorado once by accident then corrected himself to Alaska...maybe Caleb had two jobs he was thinking of and decided to pursue the job in Alaska for the summer
