Smart move on going the Ohlins route! Yours is a bit easier than mine. I've had mine sitting on a shelf for 2 months now lol. Guess I'll have to jump on it soon the V2 needs its new shock for this years track days. Thanks for the inspiration 🤙🏻
As long as it actually eliviates the gridlock downtown, i'm all about it. My job does not depend on it so I'm not too upset. I might even pay it once in awhile :P (but first I'm making my plate even harder to see)
Did you ever set the rear pre-load to dial in rear sag on your Monster stock KYB shocks? I see you had it on the default 3rd position when you took it off. I find that I have to use 7/9 of the cams of the adjustment barrel to barely achieve 47.5 mm rear rider sag (about 1/3 of total rear travel 140mm) I've been thinking about upgrading to DU125 or DU126 just for a bit more adjustment with maybe a stiffer spring.
LOL - this is a community garage, you pay monthly and can park/work on your bike. And we are ALL rich - look, we are all alive, breathing, got internet and food/water. High five to being LOADED! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR! HAPPY 2025! The bike feels awesome - the shock was worth every penny!
adding grease on threads is wild. you r actually torquing way more than the actual value
I did it by the shop manual 👍

Didn't you normally do this at Dirty Billy's garage?
Yep, that’s what this place is
Nice job & nice tutorial
Thank you sir. Such a simple task I guess it didn't really need a tutorial but hopefully this will help someone :)
Grease the bolt, but no Locktite on those threads??
Zero locktite as per Shop Manual
@@ducatinyc does the repair manual state to apply grease to threads ( they often do ) but just wondered ?
@ yes it did. Im using the official Ducati shop manual that shops use
How are you feeling about the congestion pricing?

I did not. Didn't bother to be honest since this was always the plan. But now that you mention it it was worth playing with before.
@@ducatinyc ah gotcha. look forward to a review video of the new shocks!
job well done. here's to 2025

How many miles on ur bike made you think it was time for a change in the rear shock or was something else not right?
@ i knew from day one i will put on ohlins. It was always the plan. Zero issues made me do it.
