Yes. Ever since their Boba Fett figures, Mafex have shown they know how to get the proportions correct on 1/12 movie based figures. SHF's sculpts are too broken up. Mezco's are too wide. kaiyodo's are like caricatures. And Hasbro just cheap out and recycle the same moulds.
SHF are consistently first to market with a solid offering but if you have patience mafex will usually release the ‘perfect’ version of the character. Or you can double dip and buy the SHF until mafex releases their version then sell, sometimes for a small prophet. That’s what I’m doing with SHF Tobey! Always very informative Dragonoid, thanks!
Yes, I admit Mafex is giving the best version most of the time. Especially this version of Spider-Man. I still really like SHF since they do alot more of the Mavel characters and are doing so many in anime. But can’t help but think Mafex will give the definitive versions. My SHF Tobey is a great figure which I still keep. But definitely Mafex is gona be up there!
BRILLIANT video man! I love how during the hands comparison the shf is looking. at himself and just thinking. "what am I but a pure mortal compared to this god."
thank you for making this comparison! i didn't know which one i should pick but after you pointed out they both kind of have similar articulation i'm going for mafex! i mostly care about articulation but since they are similar i picked the mafex because of the accurate sculpt
But shf has these crazy cut-up crotches. Isn't that wild that they keep doing it, even though it doesn't really give them much better articulation? I love my Toby but I look at him sometimes like 😬😬
Thanks for the informative comparison. The Mafex just looks so much better. SHF have shown they can do better, which is what makes this frustrating. I cannot wait to see the painted version of the Tobey Spidey.
I always get the Mafex over SHF. I stopped collecting SHF because of it. It’s crazy too because Mafex at one point was terrible but they surpassed SHF in every way IMO.
in every way??? lol. You're probably one of those people who buys action figures and leaves them in vanilla poses. Because shf is 100 times better than mafex in terms of articulation and joints.
@@basarb.5376100 times better on the SHF?! The only area the SHF is better in articulation is because of the ugly thigh cuts that provide more swivel, whereas the Mafex has it at the thigh socket. The Mafex has a larger shoulder cut to allow the arms to turn in more. Legs, arms and torso bend are about the same on both. The Mafex has better body proportions, more accurate colours, more consistent colour matching, better hidden joints and more accessories. Pay attention to this video and you will see all that on there.
@@cookedit I didn't talk about the figure in this video. Also, the part you mentioned as ugly allows an action figure leg to rotate and flexible. If we talk about the figure in the video, I never liked Tom Holland's suit. The lenses are very ugly and in terms of design, they are very bad compared to the tasm and raimi suits. I agree that Shf's suit is definitely not like Tom's, but it looks like Tom's first suit without any cgi and I like it more because it gives more of a comic vibe. Personal opinion.
@@basarb.5376The part you mentioned on the SHF, I already mentioned offered better articulation than on the Mafex. Or did you not read my comment properly and just threw a fit as soon as you realised that I posted a comment that you didn't agree with? Forget 100 as you mentioned, name me even just *4* areas *any* SHF is better in it's articulation and joints compared to the same character from Mafex? A random unrelated figure doesn't mean anything. Answer that question first with your next comment. If you don't, then you know you're wrong.
Love them both but personally I’m leaning towards SHF. I think it has better articulation in the legs which is key for some great authentic Spiderman poses. And I’m probably weird for this but I actually like the “lean muscular” look of the SHF. But the accessories with the Mafex is really enticing.
I really appreciate this. I have some figures from both of those companies but honestly feel like these both look kind of whack for around 100 American. Thanks for saving me the money! 🤙
Thanks for watching! I think SHF has a better ab crunch. But Mafex has very good movement in the arms. So both offer different articulation and are equal.
Yeh I heard alot of people mention the abs. I have not got enough Spider-Man Mafex figures judge. But I will look out for it in the future. Seems like this one is limited too.
Far from home suit, because the far from the house like those black lines on the side of the utility belt part but there’s no way home and doesn’t so it’s technically a different suit What?
Mafex proportion always look like actual person in the suit. 👍🏻

La versión perfecta ? Con muchos detalles de pintuta fallidos , articulaciones o bien fralies o muy duras , el control de calidad de Mafex es una kk

Love how the shf was getting annoyed the mayfex has more hands and feet

Thank you for watching! Yes, Mafex is way better for this figure. But SHF do have some very good Spider-Man’s. Mafex is certainly matching them.
mafex for the win, better colors, body looks fuller, not skinny as shf. also the crotch design is way better, shf thong design is just weird
Thanks for watching!

I really like the leaner look too but I feel like accuracy is more important. To me at least.

love your vid, I have the SHF version, and I think it is the most proportional tom holland spidey.
Very nice and good comparison. 👍 In terms of articulation which is better? Mafex or Shf? Thanks

I just wish mafex would do something different with their waist. Everything else looks really good.

What?
No complain about no paint at web pattern
The mafex is better than the sh figure
I think shf design is better Mafex articulation is better
that's a crazy statement
The SHF isn’t a bad figure. In certain poses, it can look really good!
@@gabegotlost6770 hmm maybe just my opinion tho :p
Other way around I think ? lol
