If anyone is watching this now, I highly suggest cutting off the cigerette lighter end, wiring it to accessory 12v and grounding it so you don't have the ridiculous plug
@Nickjoenap sorry to bring up an old comment but I just installed these in my tdi jetta, I find when I turn my car on they go straight to music mode rather than what I set in the app, but as soon as I open the app it remembers what I had set, so do you have to run the app everytime you get in your car?
Every time he says "Super Cool" take a shot.... Seriously, these seem to be a very good option - from what I've been able to tell you should be able to wire them into your fuse box and not have the 12v accessory plug visible though this was a nice job in the installation - Super Cool car too by the way ;-)
Looks like he set a purple/blue gradient manually. You’d only be able to do so with the RGBIC version as the “IC” is what allows you to set different colors for different sections of the strip where’s the simple RGB version only allows 1 color for the entire strip.
I only need 2 of these strips but they only come in 4 pieces, if I were to cut 2 pieces off would it ruin all 4 pieces or would the 2 pieces I didn’t cut off still work?
because its reacting to sound sadly, mine is the same bros, like turn on music mode and turn up ur a/c it will react to that…i wish they made it only react to certain bass frequencies though i don’t know how that would b done
Yes, I have hardwired them without any problem. You just have to cut the cigarette plug and then tap into a existing fuse with a piggy back (check car manual)
@@sztruhar.danielThis didn’t work for me. I cut the cigarette adapter, grounded the black, added the fuse extender to the red, slapped it in my 15A Cigarette Fuse Port, added the fuse, and nothing. Did you have to do anything else?
That would eliminate the fuse present in the charger end, so you would lose short circuit protection (you are still protected by the fusebox fuse however)
had a Focus ST before and gosh i miss the ambiant lights hahaha thanks for showing off this kit. definitely will order one for my Veloster N :)
Same, had them in my Fiesta ST and now I kinda want them in my VN lol
Beautiful video, you just made me so excited.
These work well for grill lights as well -I'm using them as grill lights in a 2015 Scion tC

Can you explain how to do it exactly?
@@Dytkot Thanks for the reply. Does that in any way affect warranty of the car?
@@ch1tresh if you use the "add a fuse's" no. since its simply just adding a fuse with a tap which can easily be removable.
@@Dytkot alright thanks
@@ch1tresh No problem. like i said, DM's are open if you need help finding what fuse does what in your car.
i love these but absolutely hate the cycle of colours when you first turn it on
Literally the reason I went with a different product.
i have the same car as you and just looked up how to install these. easy money thx
the white setting looks the best
Hey does it remember its last used mode when you turn the car on/off or turn the lights on/off
yeah

Excellent video!! Thank you so much :)
IC = independent control. It's an IC chip
IC = integrated circuit
It's actually Independent Controlled, as in each LED is Independently controllable
But yes Intergrated Circuit is for every other company that uses RGBIC, its just Govee being different 🤣
What’s that mode you have them on in the thumbnail? I can’t figure out how to find good light settings

Just ordered for my dodge charger
how can i get remote i have app only .
Is there a way to not have them color cycle when they first turn on ?

i think it would still work. i have govee underglow and one side got ripped off but the other side still works
You could just fold em and double em up instead of cutting em itll be more light exposure as well
It's only Bluetooth if you're within range of the Box.. You can't turn off your lights or turn them on from inside the house.
why the fuck would you want to do that
The music mode doesn't go with the music on mine lol
Mine isn’t either… did you ever find a fix? Just got mine yesterday
because its reacting to sound sadly, mine is the same bros, like turn on music mode and turn up ur a/c it will react to that…i wish they made it only react to certain bass frequencies though i don’t know how that would b done
I wish it didn’t flash when it turns on
how do i keep it on color only?
mines is stuck on music mode! annoying
Mine won’t stick to the whip
👍🏼👍🏼
Me too - Ìm from europe so maybe they only provide it to US…
Can you hardwire these?
i’m sure there’s a way but the only provided power source in the box is the plug for the cigarette lighter port
Yes
You cut off cigarettes plug close to plug. Buy an add-a-fuse or whatever its called. Piggy back/double tap fuse in inside fuse panel

lol yeah i didn’t want to deal with copyright so i just hit it
@@Nickjoenap how are the lights holding up and do they bump at night?? I’m literally only getting these for my Uber passengers

I did get a remote with mine 🫤
