- Today’s vlog is check out day for our Universal Orlando Sapphire Falls staycation. We were so sad to be leaving but so excited for our pool day! We start the day off with breakfast at Amatista Cookhouse. They have a buffet breakfast and it was pretty delicious. It was $25 per person and kids under 3 eat free. Then we head out to the pool area. There was a ton of available seating and lounge chairs on the day we were there. Jackson loved playing in the splash pad area and in the shallow area of the pool. We loved the water slide! We had an awesome time! Then we head home and give a plumeria update and put Jackson’s rocks in his rock jar. We end our our day with our thoughts on the trip and the hotel. You know you can talk to front desk and have them override the a/c thing for the time of your stay. I always do that because I am not about to put up with having to wake up all night to get the a/c working when I am spending so much money on a room.
We have used a helium balloon many times and it works great.

I love how Jackson stood at the Splash Pad and adjusted to his environment and once he was comfortable....no holding back. He looked like he had the time of his life, and even stopped to smell some flowers in his fun and then right back at it.

You mention wanting to do a short flight with Jackson. Dollywood has great kiddie areas. There are direct flights with Allegiant from Orlando/Sanford to Knoxville. Flight is usually less than 90 minutes.

Love the footage of Jackson in the splash pad so cute. Since Jackson loves water so much you guys should start swim lessons with him!! When I was an teacher my students started lessons as young as 18 months.

Thanks 4 posting. Amatista has definitely stepped up their game, as I've seen other vloggers review the restaurant recently and have enjoyed themselves. I still remember when it opened with the hotel and the reviews (in the beginning), were not good! Glad to see they have improved immensely.

My son did that as well. I saved all the collected rocks and on his wedding day morning, I gave him a glass bottom lamp filled with the rocks he'd collected! It's a cherished heirloom in their home now!

if the a/c is an issue, tell the front desk so you dont think you are doing something underhanded, the front desk will help you with the a/c

We know how to “hack the ac” because we often call and ask the hotel and they do it for us or tell us what to do.. so you should definitely call next time! Hacking isn’t bad with the owners blessing 😂
I work for a library and we had a patron tell us we had a mango tree in our extra parking lot. Now the staff has so many mangoes to take home.

That's so cute how Jackson picks up rocks. I've been collecting rocks when I go on trips. I have many rocks from Europe and all around the US. I also label them so I know where I got them. 😃

I hate the motion sensors as well. Now we bring some tape with us and tape up some toilet paper to the vent near the sensor. The TP doesn’t make any added noise during the night and keeps the room cool and then we take it down in the morning. Painters tape or scotch tape won’t damage the vent!
