I feel like that is teetering into spoilery territory though. Unless you just happen to stumble the right way. Getting abella recruited when you are just starting isn't a given.
i am of the opposite opinion. I think Abella is great, but she's outweighed by the utility of choosing to keep Henryk alive, specially past Day 2 Morning, making sure he goes to the restaurant and not the bar/speakeasy. The ability to refill the Hunger meter makes the game even easier.

@@tiagocosmos I suppose it depends on what you struggle more with/value more. Food isn't all that scarce in termina so henryks services, while incredibly useful, aren't vitally important. Abella has a very big Bonk with a stun added ontop. If you require big bonks, especially for the early game fights Abella is incredibly useful but not vitally important either. She is far from the only source of damage early, but she is an easy straightforward one.
I escaped the flesh pit and dragged my nugget ass with one arm all the way past trotur, into the bathroom. I thought "well my runs fucked anyway, maybe it's a shortcut?". I fall into the pit, it's dark, theres no exits. I try to climb the wall. It's covered in shit with no climbing holds. I wriggle around like a worm in circles mashing the use button, I turn up the brightness looking for any clue to escape, but there's nothing. My character starved to death in a shit pit with no legs and one arm. Alone in the dark. That's when I found out things can always be worse for your character and that this game is fucking awesome
That is very true, the pagan, uneasy, rotten atmosphere is very similar, I thought of that too. Personally, the game to me was a mixture of Off and Amnesia. The graphics and UI and sound quality remind me of OFF while the horror aesthetics remind me of amnesia.. but RE8 completes the mix
Olivia the f-ing Lamb might seem weak but she doesn't need legs and can stun enemies with her wheelchair if she falls from stairs and also can become immune to infections if she gets an arm/leg infection and steps in a bear trap while in the wheelchair.
oh that's some old shit Olivia is just immune to infections baseline alongside Marcoh and Karin because they're new characters and lack the code for infections while the other five Levi, Marina, Abella, Daan and O'saa are re-used from the old game and .. have the code for infections

The moment this game became a favorite for me was after I beat the game and remembered how I went from dying to the woodsman and not knowing how to get into central prehevil to killing the final boss with only two party members, missing an arm, and jacked up on heroin.
I literally just bought the game yesterday and already knew some story relevant things. I managed to get poisoned as Levi from the dogs and burned through my healing items until I reached the house with the double knife woman. Out of desperation and on my literally last hp point, I found a white vile in the fridge. After that my Levi and Abella got bonked by the pig guy. 10/10 would open that fridge again
O'saa can start quite powerful. Using pyromancy trick to blast off heads left and rights is amazing. Also his opening took me 20 minutes to get through.
The best feeling you can have is getting incredibly strong in this game, i remember when i first played fear and hunger 1 i sucked hard but after some time i started to understand the game until i got a cahara run where i got the penance armor, cursed blue sin, 2 white angel souls, sergil spear and the eastern purified sword with legarde darce and nashra in the party. I felt like no god could stand in my way 10/10 game.
Ive gotten this game a few days ago and it's already a new favorite. The story and lore in it are captivating and despite how creepy he is pocketcat has quickly won my heart (and legs and arms and head lol)

You focused on the bear trap atack when talking about powerful moves so i'm not sure if you know this. you can destroy it by simply atacking it and it won't trigger a coin flip or damage you at all.

If you have an option to finish off a contestant that is wounded you still get there soul even if you didn’t initiate combat you just have to be the one to kill them
Honestly after a few failed runs my advice to fellow new players is to avoid as many combats as possible. Playing as Levi my main issue was thinking of fighting and looting enemies to progress, and overall there’s really only a few enemies I’d fight early on to progress if I could keep going, but this run also has resulted in arguably the most amount of progress into Old Town I’ve gotten. 😅

ehh, remember fighting dysmorphia for the 1st time, it mopped me soo hard that I decided to stuck up really hard for it. Just for dysmorphia to shake it's hands for 3 rounds and do absolutely nothing, giving me free win. RNGesus was on my side xd

You can skip character creation and the intro, and you can skip the train conversation by selecting the option that says something like "I need to be going" (it's a bit different for each character). For long, unskippable conversations like Pocketcat, you can hold down Z and speed through it

There's only one at the moment: you have to use Daan's ability Magna-Medical during the same battle your companion died. If the battle ends, you can't do it anymore
Oh yeah, know these comments are sort of old but you should also equip armor on Daan that reduces the chance of a specific limb being cut off and then cut off the protected limb. Not sure if it still works but if it does, you will get your party member back and (usually) not lose a limb.
So what you are telling me is I can recruit these strong people instead of making an army of 3 ghouls doing 40 damage as an occultist also doing 40 damage?
16:24 i don’t quite understand the part here. does that mean that whenever we go to sleep with party members they can leave and so the equipment they got can disappear? i have one person in my party right now (abella) other than the character that i’ve chosen and nothing like that happened when i slept. can anyone explain it? please note that i’m a noob and spent more time watching the gameplays than actually playing the game, and i have played just enough to sleep just one time.

I'm not a big fan of the spelling errors in this game. They make everything feel a tad amateurish even if the rest of the game's content feels well crafted.

After finishing everything there is to do at the original game. I absolutely loved it like Binding of isaac. But..i decided to play the sequel with a save mod. I had enough of time wasting :p
Tip with the first turn bear traps or placed bear traps in general: Simply run away. The bear trap doesn’t carry over to the overworld or the next fight with the same villager. If they placed it on the first turn and you don’t want to deal with it, try running. Reengage with them and you likely have a start with no bear trap now. If you say manage to remove their arm wielding a weapon but then they place a bear trap, running away resets it so you can get an additional chance of severing their left arm before they could place any additional traps. Damaged limbs will remain severed and won’t get reset. Running isn’t guaranteed to work all the time, but it does it’ll help give you a breather and an easier win when facing male villagers.

The thing that got me so intrested in the games is when an enemy sawed off my legs and threw me in a flesh pit in the first game but this helps alot

F&H is just like real life: your choices and failures matters, no forgiving, lots of rng, combats(interactions with people) is a some kind of puzzle
And just like in real life, walking around any european city after midnight means you'll encounter people trying to stab you around every corner

You sure can! The stories are mostly separate, although you will miss some references and threads here and there. Imo Termina has an easier start too

I love fear and hunger but your first 6 minutes is psychotic. You bounce from things being easy and terrible with no explanation.
16:24 i don’t quite understand the part here. does that mean that whenever we go to sleep with party members they can leave and so the equipment they got can disappear? i have one person in my party right now (abella) other than the character that i’ve chosen and nothing like that happened when i slept. can anyone explain it? please note that i’m a noob and spent more time watching the gameplays than actually playing the game, and i have played just enough to sleep just one time.
Once someone is recruited, most of the time they won't leave the spot where you left them but there are some rare circumstances when they will
@@MautheDoog ok, thanks for answering. i just got to the train again and abella decided to rest and she sat inside (lol) but once i asked her to join me again, everything i’d equipped her with before was still on her. does this mean that there are different situations where the equipped items disappear? or did i understand you completely wrong?
@@poe8910 if you can recruit a character after leaving them they'll always have the same items, but there are rare situations where you can't recruit them again

Poke around the church and you'll find a note that gives a hint of where to go next

I'm not a big fan of the spelling errors in this game. They make everything feel a tad amateurish even if the rest of the game's content feels well crafted.

You would be surprised how effective it is just by having the correct mindset going into the game.

After finishing everything there is to do at the original game. I absolutely loved it like Binding of isaac. But..i decided to play the sequel with a save mod. I had enough of time wasting :p

Naming Olivia Hotwheelz is too funny 🤣
Tip with the first turn bear traps or placed bear traps in general:
Simply run away. The bear trap doesn’t carry over to the overworld or the next fight with the same villager.
If they placed it on the first turn and you don’t want to deal with it, try running. Reengage with them and you likely have a start with no bear trap now.
If you say manage to remove their arm wielding a weapon but then they place a bear trap, running away resets it so you can get an additional chance of severing their left arm before they could place any additional traps. Damaged limbs will remain severed and won’t get reset.
Running isn’t guaranteed to work all the time, but it does it’ll help give you a breather and an easier win when facing male villagers.

I'm new to this game. But Bohemia belongs among the Czech Republic and in the map you can find are 3 places in the Czech language. The other parts are in English. But the three parts are in my language.

This game having to start over and over in the same place or having to replay to get certain things really captures the spirit of majoras mask which was clearly an influence, that was incorporated fantastically
