    Hey,
When I first discovered your videos. I was stuck at the front desk dealing with the "death" anxiety about going back onto the road and answering calls. You responded to my comment and I took your advice. I've done about 5 ride alongs now. 3 calls have been "hot" or "intense" calls.
I noticed my emotions were high and amplified. Into fight or flight mode due to the adrenaline. I remember you said in your video to deep breathe and create a plan of action rather than no plan and to react to the scenario. So far, I still deal with the dread of anxiety each time I go out but at least I can be cognitively self-aware in the moment to take my brain out of emotion and into the cognitive thinking.
Also, watching this video has put me to ease. Everything you said has been through my own mind and I thank you for opening my perspective on how to properly work through it.

Thank you, sir for making this video. It's help me a lot And you're right about this. You do get to a certain age that you really don't care what people Think about you and gossip about you For me in my mid 30 I realize that there's always going to be somebody talking trash about me and you know what that's fine. I don't let it get to me anymore. People are going to say what they're gonna say. Regardless True False Or whatever I learned to not let it get to me or even pay attention to it. Because I know who I am and the end.

Hey bro just found your channel. Was a cop for many years. Former military. PTSD all that stuff. We need more like you and uniform. Keep it up.

  • @JoeHonestTruth
    @JoeHonestTruth 6 місяців тому +2

Exactly, every PTSD is different. There is no standard universal treatment or cure. Often, the PTSD sufferer has to try many, varied, and prolonged forms of treatment. Treatment of some type is definitely a necessity. Medication isn’t for everyone, and medication could fail too or be a cure. One popular self help method is a totally changed living environment and occupation, or educational pursuits. Church attendance and fellowship can be very helpful. A totally uplifting and fun vacation, that is unique and a fresh experience. Definitely the protein and low carb healthy food diet with no junk food changes bloody chemistry in positive ways . PTSD craves “sugar”, which screws up insulin and hormones normalcy. Sugars damages over time the brain and creates metabolic diseases. Learning a foreign language, learning a musical instrument, doing hobbies, and serious reading whether fiction or nonfiction that triggers sublimation and diversion into new activities or studies. Joining a charitable organization can be very therapeutic and a feel good experience. Playing adult sports creates socialization, friendships, and feel good endorphins.

11:53 me and the wife watched this again. You nailed a good point there. When you zoomed out you realized why am I stuck or dwelling in fear over myself when my average day works itself out fine right? So we now know overthinking and selfish thinking causes anxiety. Sweating things that aren't here yet. My wife said thank him for his service. 💯17:54 I wish I could function at your level, I'll get there when I'm good to go I suppose. Anyways, you made a good point like over and over that was cool. Honesty. Especially the part about panic attacks. Having empathy as a policeman is a good quality. We need people to follow the evidence and respect our rights. You have a great outlook. Just knowing we have these different circuits that light up, and when too many are lit we feel like we're gonna die just about. 💯🙂Fast quick truthful advice that was.

Thank you for sharing this. I fortunately don't suffer from PTSD however, sometimes life can be stressful and I do use simular mind hacks as yourself and I love stargazing and as I look at how vast our universe is any problems I may have fall into insignificance. I also shift my mood by focusing on happy past events and if I'm ever in a situation where I feel physically cold, I visualise myself on a hot sunny beach which does raise my body temperature. You're right don't worry about others opinions of ourselves. Not everyone will like us and it's our opinion of ourselves which really matters. I also don't worry about forthcoming events because things are often not nearly as bad as we have perceived in our imagination and best to focus on the present. I also flatlined three and a half years ago and had a very positive NDE which has changed my outlook on many things and if everyone truely knew what awaits us there would be no more wars or conflict and instead be creating heaven on earth.
Have a blessed day and thank you once again.

First of all, Thank you Josh🇺🇸🌱
Just in case I haven't indicated my up bringing, regarding some, correspondence with yours truly.🌱
I was raised by a blue dog democrat U.S. Army Dad. He never implied, do what I say not as I did. He would instead imply, follow what I say, watch what I do, Lead by Example.
Dudes at church would ask Dad from time to time,
"So Ron, what do you think of Donald Trump? He's extreme and say's whatever he wants?"
Dad would always casually and methodically reply with, "....I can't really say, I'm really into that, I'm more conservative"
Dad was conservative not extreme, liberal not radical, he taught me that was something uniquely an American, kind of thing.
    🇺🇸😎
Again, all the best to you Josh
    🇺🇸🌱

Sounds like a great man. If only more people were more moderate, middle of the road like he was. I believe anything extreme, right or left, isn’t good for society. We have to be able to compromise, otherwise we’ll never be whole.

So lemme ask you, because this is interesting. If you came out to a call or an investigation, in the city where they have city cops, in one of the towns where you have your job. You’d have higher authority than they would because you guys are voted in and represent the people directly. Not the United States federal government like a city police department. So have you ever come up against an uncooperative city cop challenging your authority? ❤😉👈🏻💯cuz I know you cover a whole county not just a city.

We try to not step in or step on their toes. We try to respect all other officers. However, if we see someone not doing their job we do what we have to do to protect the people.
