I’m a retired diesel mechanic and I just enjoy fixing mowers and small engines, it’s like a hobby and I have all the tools paid for many years ago and have given most to family members 😊
Love the advice. What to many people out showing how to clean a carb and skipping right over the behind the scenes on running and actually making money.
I keep a receipt on everything . That always help when it come to tax time . Drive time . electrical. gas bill parts everything has to be accounted for .
I get a lot of parts from online auctions back in November I got snowblower friction discs for $2.55 each I can sell them for $20 each. It always good to keep your eyes open to the bargains.

I have a mowing business and the local guys that service and work on my equipment may retire this year which will leave me in a little bind. That leads me to a question I hope you can answer : On some of your videos you talk about taking a course from Penn Foster. Have you thought about doing a video about that course from them? I need to learn how to work on my stuff and I have plenty to practice on. Who knows I may do like you and do both (mowing & small engine repair) Thank you for your time. TJ
Penn foster just teach the basics. If ur handy with tools, most repairs are not too hard there's not too many videos on commercial equipment repairs. U can order some small engine repair books also. Manuals. I still use em for specific stuff, like torque specs,ect...

The spark plug stealing incident reminded me of a small engine shop guy that I knew, telling me about a dude that owed him 600 dollars for some work done: "it's a small world with square corners"
Great info! I placed an order with PD back in November for some Oregon mowers to give them a shot. Sounds like they are going to be backordered for a while.
