Not everything has to be serious. Rick did a great job of adding a little humour to the educational aspect of the show. Most of it isn't "childish behaviour", he makes a lot of intelligent jokes that many Canadians can understand and relate to.
The thing I find so funny is that if there was a show like this in America it would be shut down in .05 seconds XD I'm glad that they're understanding it's all good fun.
