It is a very nice cycling city. Plenty of places to ride and we were told we didn’t even get to the most beautiful part of the loop. Thank you. Appreciate it.
Keep enjoying life, and have fun at everything you do, you both inspire me to keep cycling and working out at the gym and walking 2 miles at a time, this month alone, done walked 21 out of 23 days so far and I pick up cycling in the cold 3 times a week , getting Ragbrai ready, July will be here before we know it. I got me some heated gloves to go cycling in the winter, I love to cycle no matter what the weather is.😊
That’s the motto to live by. Enjoy as much as you can. Nice job. Keep it up. Staying healthy and active. That’s awesome about staying active in the cold. Ragbrai ready!
Sabino Canyon has some great Sunrise and Sunset views. Definitely fun rides….Of course I knew where I put my helmet….after you guys told me.😂 By the way I recommend the Prickly Pear Margarita after the Sabino Canyon Ride @ Three Canyon Beer and Wine Garden.😜
I live 3.5 miles from Saguaro National Park and always get the yearly pass. I ride it a handful of times a month. Great video! Thanks for giving my beloved city much love!
That’s awesome. The ride through those rolling hills is so fun and beautiful. Thanks for watching. Loved Tucson and hope to go back and ride more one day.
Hi, Kari! I live right down the road from where you guys were staying! It's less than a 10 minute bike ride from my home to Udall Park, so most of my rides are based on that here in town. We are blessed to have such a wonderful trail right in our back yard! Lessee... a couple of good rides... One I like to do on Saturday morning when I'm riding by myself is from home to Rillito park farmers market on Saturday mornings. Stock up on local produce and goodies! about 20 easy miles round trip. Another is from St. Phillips Plaza on the loop to San Augustine de Mercado and back. I ride this with the club. We stop at Mercado for refreshments, than ride back. Also a farmers market at St. Phillips. Then there's then there's the ride up the loop to Catalina State Park. 12 miles from Camino de la Tierra parking lot along the Santa Cruz and Canada del Pro river (we call them washes!). Take a 3 mile easy hike around Canyon Loop, and ride back. Saturdays a farmers market at Steam Pump Ranch. When you get back this way, give me a heads up and I'd be happy to show you around! Be safe, and Happy Trails! Thanks for your videos!
@@karlintucson that's such a cool spot to live by. I'm sure you have some good adventures. Thank you for the ride ideas. I think the farmer's market would be something really cool to experience riding to and then exploring. We definitely will. Hopefully we can make a future trip and explore more and reach out to you.
Sabino was pretty easy, but beautiful! Also, we just put up a video not long ago on riding mt Lemmon. I was determined after realizing how big a deal riding it was. Beautiful, challenging, but worth the effort. I did have lots of support though.
Should ride to the Mercado on the Loop next time. The best destination for coffee, pastry, Mexican food and shopping. We are so lucky to have great places to ride.
That was our first time truly exploring it and it was beautiful. We did the drive and saw so many bikers going up. We will be making the attempt. Just need to get a little hill training first 😂
1:42 ahahaha that is such a good catch. So I’m still learning a new editing program and I meant to just flip it vertically because of the way I filmed it upside down. However I likely accidentally put a horizontal flip on first and instead of removing left it on. I didn’t even catch that till right now when you mentioned it. Now I can’t unsee it and it’s tripping me out lol. Good catch. As for the drinks. So true. I think seltzer maybe?
The loop is fantastic, I get out there a few times a month. I just really wish we had better in-town bike routes. I would call Tucson a very friendly recreational bike town, but not so much for commuter bike use.
Such a great area to bike. Thats awesome. The scenery is nice too riding around seeing the mountains. I could see that. The loop doesn’t go much into town does it?
@@TylerandKari No, there's not much cycling downtown. The loop is a great description of the trail, it loops around Tucson for the most part. In-town cycling is pretty much limited to the sides of the streets, where you get to play dodge with the busses!
@@JohnIn2SonAZwow now that’s a lot of miles. I’m sure you’ve had some good rides. Thats so cool to be a competitive cyclist. I used to want to try to compete, but cycling was not my strong suit.
Definitely some good info on here. I gotta admit it's a bit disheartening to see people who ride e-bikes exclusively. I have an e-bike I work commute on and also grocery shop, but still enjoy traditional bikes. That's just me I guess.
Thanks. Trying to share some cool places to ride. Well, I’m sure some can’t pedal well without an e bike. As for Kari, she never liked biking just to ride so the ebike allows her to ride with me, keep up and see cool places together.
I think we did realize that after reading more into it. I think just Sabino was no e bikes correct? But the loop is very beautiful and good to know about the rentals close by.
Actually e-bikes are not allowed except for handicapped, according to the official Pima County website. I don't personally agree with it, but there it is. www.pima.gov/162/The-Chuck-Huckelberry-Loop#tab1c387811-e6ef-4d4b-b633-9361b43f2612_3
👍 I think you’re talking about the first bike in the video she is on (mountain bike one?). And we agree. Not hers though and we didn’t pay much attention to the seat adjustment apparently lol. Does seem quite low when looking back.
We were fortunate to have brought both bikes this time that didn’t have e power. I’m not sure how strict they are but while we road we did see a park ranger.
This looks to be a fun getaway, definitely putting Tucson on the list as a bike trip. Great video guys

And nice weather, pretty much, year round! A good place to get in lots of miles and beautiful views
I'm going to assume they didn't mention the very high rate of cars hitting cyclists in Tucson? It seem about once a week one is hit.
Love seeing people enjoy the treasures of my hometown. Welcome.
We loved it there. Such a beautiful fun place to ride and visit. Loved Mt Lemmon too.

Heated gloves is a great idea! No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing; and looks like you’re taking care of that! Keep it up, Franklin!

Need to go back and try that prickly pear. Note to riders, they are closed on Mondays!

Glad you had a good time in my home town! I love Tucson!
That is such an amazing biking town. Also just a lot of cool things to see and explore. We really enjoyed it. Hoping to explore more in the future.
If you know of any other great biking trails in Tucson or anywhere in AZ, please share!

I like the safety of no cars, plus great scenery. You 2 always seem to relate the best info and pictures. Keep up the great work
Exactly why we loved these trails, we don’t like having to worry about cars. Thank you, glad you are enjoying the videos!
Ride up mount Lemmon. Sabino Canyon is super easy.

We will definitely add that to our list next time. We had difficulty deciding where to ride because there are so many options.
7:25 it's pronounced you-doll :)
Haha thank you. I was wondering on that one. Sometimes just got to run with it.
YOU DAHL PARK... you were by my house!
That’s a nice area out there. We enjoyed visiting the area.
Love Tucson. We drove up Mt. Lemmon, you are a hero to attempt it! Prejudice against ebikes are silly.

Have to agree. Why not just set a speed limit. What difference is it to anyone if you get some assistance?
@@travmccullough6300 that's our thought, but at least it worked out.
And the canyon does have a speed limit of 15mph, as long as you can follow that, we agree with you, why does it matter if you have assist or not?
1:42 Did you flip the video horizontally or am I just bugging? Plus, 11:43 Not cider lol - Good video. Thanks for sharing. Very informative as well.

Prob made the ride harder having to carry around the mandatory 7lbs rule book for the first place, which you're required to have on you at all times.
Such a heavy book
