I've been here 7 years, and each year have made more. I even saved enough $ to buy a truck, and run it. So the prior comment is less than true. They truly take care of the equipment and drivers... if you run you make $, if ya don't, we'll you could be the next V. Knight trying to slander cuz it didn't go your way...

But poor pay levels and you better keep track of all your miles etc because every week your going to have to call them and figure out why your only getting paid for 80% of your miles. Oh and make sure you check your trip plans carefully because the system they use takes the absolute shortest route that doesn't make sense and includes no truck roads. Also each year you work there your weekly pay gets smaller and smaller, despite driving the same or more miles. Also if dare to question anything they will treat you like your stupid and you suddenly end up with the worst runs to California until they find some other person to pick on. Lastly they have also installed the latest in narco devices that track every thing that goes on out on the road and generates a report for them so they arm chair coach you. But the really cool part is they keep secret notes on you and when they need leverage on you they pull these out and manipulate you into compliance. One last awesome thing. During events like driver appreciation week they hold these raffles for stuff but unless youve been there 10 plus years you have no chance of winning any give aways. Hell one year the same guy won both TVs. Then they buy cool hats and shirts to give away but everyone in the office and shop get first dibs and if your lucky when you roll in you might still get a shirt thats 2 sizes too small and a really crappie hat that cost $5 at the store while your looking at everyone in the office and their spouses wearing some really nice expensive hats and nice shirts that fit. So in the end on surface Doug Andrus looks really good but once your in you see the ugly under belly and they are no different than all those other trucking companies that are more worried about their bottom line than their drivers. Don't be fooled by the shiny trucks and brochures. None of it is intended to benefit you. It's intended to draw you in so they can use you until you get wise to their games. I worked there 5 years and every year it just got worse and if I didn't leave when I did I most likely would have lost my house etc. The sad part is I still talk to some of their drivers who have had to put their families on welfare because of their pay practices and at least 2 of these guys have been there over 10 years and they agrre its gotten bad over the last several years.
