Let us know your thoughts of the area! Is this the best city to live in Germany? 😊💜
Leipzig is great, friendly persons, good food and the german wgt
Dresden. 🙈
I wish I could come to Germany
A few months ago maybe February I held an entire 2 minute conversation with a real german from dusseldorf
There are 2 types of people Dresden or Leipzig.
Due to eg Hellraiser, Sixtina and WGT Leipzig is my fav. (And also nearby)
Definitely no!
If Deana really likes to live near the water, you should‘ve checked out the western part of Leipzig (Plagwitz/Schleussig/Lindenau). The Clara-Zetkin-Park and the Auwald are very close too. So, you would combine the best of both worlds there - the greenish parks and the water but also great industrial buildings with nice lofts and apartments.
Did you know, that Leipzig ranks after Hamburg and Berlin as the city with the most bridges in Germany. It has actually more than Venedig - even though the ones in Venedig are a bit more beautiful 😜
The lakes south of Leipzig are great too... Especially in summer.
Compared with other German cities the rents in Leipzig are super cheap. The city is kinda „hip“ with loads and loaaads of students. It is also quite compressed and not so copious like Berlin for example. You can go everywhere by bike but the Tram system is really great as well. The city is currently booming. Most of the empty places you‘ve seen around the city centre (west of the main station, south of the new town hall, Bayerischer Bahnhof) are gonna be new living space/parks in not even 10 years.
With around 600.000 people living in Leipzig it’s not too big but not too small either. If you need more shops or whatever, Berlin is 2 hours away, Dresden 1, Fankfurt around 3 hours by train.
The city is soo energetic but if you want it can be super classic as well (the old trade fair arcades, ...).
All in all a great city (at least for me 😜)
Yes ,Leipzig has a Lot of waterways within the City Limits and a Lot of lakes nearby , you probably missed that ......
Leipzig is beautiful. Was there last year. Came from the u.s🇺🇸..
Was it easy to get around with only English?
@@youtube_viewer6160 In Germamy usually Englisch is the 2.Language we habe to lernen at School. To me it's 20 Years ago, i still unterstand it but do not speak it well... I think, much Germans like me:-)
@@angelikapreu9323 I see, thank you for your response :)
Grüße aus Leipzig
🤗💜
I'm an American retired educator and have lived in this extraordinary city for 23 years. The love for my second "heimat" grows daily. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be here.
I might add that I also have a second flat in Dresden which I enjoy having very much for the last 10 years. When asked about my preference between the two cities, Dresden is stunningly beautiful, but the spirit, general vibe , and university influence of Leipzig is where I spend the majority of my time.
Leipzig has water. No big river of course, but there a some nice lakes, for example in the south and you have nice channels in the city. You even can go by boat (kayak or canoe) from the city to the lakes.
Yeah! Next time we visit we want to kayak! That looks like a lot of fun! 😍
Yes, Markkleeberger See, sehr schön!
@@DeanaandPhil
I actually did a kayak tour on the Weiße Elster and the Karl-Heine-Kanal years ago.
It's pretty nice. And a lot of fun.
Neuseenland !
@@DeanaandPhil the "kulki" is a good lake if you like swimming
five years ago i moved from berlin to leipzig and damn..i fell in love with this city.
Yep, the ingridiences for a "Leipziger Allerlei" have to come from somewhere after all.
Never been im Eastern Germany as well even though I am German. Defenetely have to visit Leipzig, it looks so nice!
Freiburg is the most beautiful City in germany! You have everything, a river (also a tiny brook through the whole city), big mountains (blackforest), the best weather in Germany and really nice people. Freiburg is a Green Student City with a lot of different cultures. It’s definitely worth a visit 😊
07:56
It`s the New Town Hall. Highest Town Hall tower in Germany.
...
The "lake" at the Völkerschlachtdenkmal symbolises the blood of the victims of the battle, which was the biggest battle in human history until WW1.
No it's caled "See der Tränen" (Lake of tears) and symbolise the tears of the people for the victims in the battle of nations from october 1813
I am enjoying these tour of the German cities and discovering their unique history, food and charm. Another beautiful place. Danke
You just visited my favorite city in Germany. I live in NRW since my birth, but I visit Leipzig on a regular term for 20 years now. There is something called WGT (Wave-Gotik-Treffen) which normally takes place there (this year it was cancelled because of the virus) and which is the reason why I go there once a year. I fell in love with the city, its people and the whole atmosphere there. It breathes history not only because of the GDR but also because of the many artists and writers who lived there. Ancient and modern bulidings come together for a unique melange you won't find anywhere else.
When it comes to the Völkerschlachtdenkmal I recommend to also visit the Krypta next time which is a room in the basement. It actually looks like something from Lord of the Rings with its impressive architecture and huge statues and figurines.
And there is much more to explore there. Leipzig has an area with several lakes where you can swim or ride a boat or cycle or go for a walk around them and I absolutely love the variety of restaurants and bars all over the city.
We miss our Leipzig since we couldn't go there this year and look so much forward to it in 2021. The WGT is one thing, but we actually miss the city more than the festival, I swear... and that's what I say after experiencing both for 20 years.
Leipzig is still there, and you can go. What you miss is some special people there ;-)
Awwwww ... thank you so much! 😊
Yeah, Leipzig is great, at least for a visit. I am not sure I would want to life there, though. It is in a way surrounded by nothing, which is geat if you love being out in the nature, but I personally prefer living in more populated areas. Plus, while Leipzig itself is Legida free, Pegida is very much active in the surrounding area. But Leipzig itself is amazing, and the people living there very open minded in my experience.
@@swanpride it's not surrounded by nothing...
There are a lot of hidden gems in the area. And I like that some cities are actually surrounded by nature. What a sad world it would be if all of it looked like the Ruhrgebiet...
@@michaausleipzig So...how does the Ruhrgebiet look like? Since you seem to know it so well....
And I haven't said anything against Leipzig. I said that I personally couldn't imagine living there permanently. Unless you find a way to move it to NRW.
Beautiful city, I want to go back. Looks like you missed the Thomaskirche. It also has a big place in history, it is the home of the Thomanerchor, one of the oldest boy choirs in the world at over 800 years, and which was for over 25 years conducted by JS Bach himself, who composed most of his choral work for this choir. And also the Gewandhaus Orchestra. Both institutions super high on the prestige scale.
I loved my visit to Leipzig! Thanks for bringing the memories back!
I visited on wednesday last week for the first time the city of Leipzig. And I was amazed. You don't often find the mixture of small-town-feeling in a major city. The public parks near the central city and the many interesting museums I found were amazing, too. And then the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. One of the biggest memorials in Europe.
The City of Leipzig is, as far as I know the east german bigger Cities (Dresden, Halle, Magdeburg, Potsdam, Erfurt, Berlin), my favourite right now. Many young people, all friendly, musicians in the pedestrian zone, many Cafes and Restaurants.
Do you have a favourite right now?
How about Hannover? One of the greenest cities in Europe. And it is not as boring as many people say.
Yeah, my hometown. :D
😍
Too
Yep! 😊
Mine too😍but i moved 1989 as a ten year old to Bremen.🤷♂️
Yeah, me too😁
I lived (was stationed) in the little town of Hessisch-Oldendorf back in 1980-1982. My youngest son was born in Rinteln. Thank you for sharing the videos!
Loving the tour of Germany - I know you want to find a place to live but hope you visit another 10 or 20 cities first /grin. The food all looks amazing - I'm gaining weight just from watching!
Saxony has one of the lowest Coronavirus infection rates in Germany. Therefore the rules are less strict. In restaurants you're not obliged to wear a mask, neither indoors nor outdoors.
Whoop-dee-doo.
So wonderful to see peoples faces!
Welcome to my City. Here studied Bach, Kästner and Goethe :)
I live very close to Leipzig and I can tell u guys it is an amazing city. It is one of the most booming cities in Germany and u have so much possibilities what you can do there. So thumps up for Leipzig 👍🏼😊
Hey Guys! You should visit Dresden. It's a wonderful and amazingly beautiful city, full of history, art, nice people beautiful landscapes and streets full of life. I visited Dresden almost a year ago and I fell in love with it. You should definitely go.
i went to leipzig two times and i love it so much❤️
I'd recommend Leipzig any time! Been living here for the past ten years and apart from being one of the most affordable large cities in Germany, it just never gets boring. Oh, and concerning Deana missing water - there's not an actual water front, but a ton of really large lakes just south of the city. Just come again and bring some more time! ;)
My boyfriend has the idea to go to live there
I am from Colombia
And i hear there is lot of Nazis there is that true?
And how is the economy?
My boyfriend is a Gartenbauer and he make very good money at month here in Göttingen aprox 8.000€ pro Monat
How is the economy there being east Germany,
Cool, dass ihr in Leipzig wart. Finde die Stadt großartig. Tolles Video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Leipzig is a city with an big University. So you can see much stundents from everywhere.
There are so many beautiful towns in Eastern Germany. My personal favorites are Weimar and Erfurt and - like someone in the comments already said - the historic towns along the Baltic coast: Greifswald, Stralsund, Rostock, Wismar, and Luebeck (which is in former West Germany right at the former border between East and West). These are smaller towns, but some of them are quite lively, thanks to universities and/or tourism. Whenever I am in Thuringia, I pick dishes that come with Thuringian potato dumplings (thüringische Klöße). Love them.
I'm a Thuringian and grew up on Thüringer Klöße ... We ate them almost each Sunday. Couldn't stand them anymore by the time I was a teenager. But now that I live abroad and I can't go back to my mom's kitchen anymore, I miss it ...
Loving every video you guys are putting out! This series is helping me decide where I should live if I move after finishing Uni here in Canada :) Thank you and keep up the great videos!
so nice that you where here!
Would have loved to meet you guys.
hope you had a nice time xx
Deana‘s face when she was eating the „Torte“ ! 😘Priceless
I think Leipzig is really great place to live :D very close to lakes with nice water, plenty of great parks that you can barbeque and it is clean, not in all germany you can do it. Really nice parts of city for food, and party, plagwitz and Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, eisenbahnstr for food and other things, when you need it :) More for alternativ people connewitz. I think is safe and communication is great. You have sban that connected everything and with a bike is also like everywhere 30 min. Most important the apartments are crazy cheap compare to other cities. You maybe earn a little less compare to berlin or west, but city is great place to live.
Maybe it would be nice for you to visit Hamburg as one of the next Citys!☺️I do also think it is very nice that you spoke about those stereotypes that western and eastern germans do have about each other. In my opinion we should all be a little bit more open towards each other and see us as „one germany“,we all belong to the same country.(: sry if my english isn‘t perfect
Ahhh Hamburg is a city everyone keeps mentioning! 😍 We want to catch Hamburg on a sunny day. 😋 And your English is great!!
@@DeanaandPhil why not make it a trip along river Elbe. From Dresden to Hamburg. With a little stop in my city of Magdeburg, of course. 😁
I live in Braunschweig, been for business for few months in many cities in Germany, before I settled somewhere with my family (München, Ulm, Hamburg, Osnabrück, Stuttgart), but Braunschweig I would not change for anything. It's not so big like Hamburg, Hannover or Leipzig,, but big enough to have everything man can have in a big city. It's a city with all advantages of one industrial urban area, but with a lot of green areas, very nice and quiet and fantastic history. It is actually one of the oldest and most influentual cities in the whole Germany. It is also the city with most percentage young people in the whole Germany. Flat and house prices are higher than in a village, of course, not too cheap, but not so much in compare to Munchen, Frankfurt or Hamburg.
LG
english please
@@s______f8015 Dresden (district: Neustadt) could be something for you. For me the perfect mix of scene, culture and nature (including river for Deana). If you've had enough of the city, you can take the "S-Bahn" to Saxon Switzerland with its impressive rock formations in less than 60 minutes. Keep your fingers crossed that you find the right place for you. LG
Dresden ist viel schöner als Leipzig. Keine Frage.
@@MasterofJenaster Dresden also has Pegida, while Leipzig managed to throw Legida out. That makes Leipzig the winner in my book. No matter how beautiful a city is, it doesn't matter if there are too many ugly people running around.
Awww loved this vid. My Mom is from Leipzig. I barely remember visiting I was so young. Very cool to see. Thanks!
If you move to Leipzig, definitely let me know. I’d love to host you and show you my hood. ;) Leipzig is cheap in general. We pay 770€ für 93 sqm
Would it be easy to get around with only English?
@@youtube_viewer6160 yeah, most people speak English, the older folks not so much, but you'll get along quite well,
Tried this one day, and have no complaints
@@DasPlattenTier Thanks, I appreciate your help.
Looking forward to work and live in Leipzig! 💕
Normaly Leipzig is considered very expensive 🤨
What a beautiful city. I haven't been to Leipzig, so this was a treat. Thank you for providing a great tour. Those cabbage rolls looked awesome! So far I like the cities am Rhein best of all.
Thanks for checking out Leipzig, I've worked there for the last 13 years and i like it very much. Lots of culture, especially great concert locations (i'm a Metalhead). Also very green, lots of water around it, great infrastructure, etc. You mentioned not hearing Saxon accents. Well, for this you need to visit Dresden, there you absolutely cannot escape the real Saxon accent :-)
Tks so much guys for ''take '' me back ...I visited Leipzig 1974 1977 and 1978...was during DDR...we also were from Romania...but I have suh good memories...and I am te.ling you the food was very good....And still have DDR staff...😀😀...some are here ,in Canada!!!...great quality
Next time take a look at Erfurt in Thuringia! I love it there.
I love Erfurt and Weimar.
Yeah it's really nice in Erfurt because it's not as crowded as other cities in Germany and the public transport is pretty advanced and all the lines meet in the city center do you can pretty much go from the airport to the stadium
@@echo_fire_fusion yeah, the same in Weimar. Love this feature, pretty convenient!
You guys tried talking about history and missed out so much!
What about Auerbachs Keller and Goethe?.
And The Nikolaikirche is famous for 1989?
What about Martin Luther or Johan Sebastian Bach???
...
I love Leipzig. Visit that city every year (for the Wave Gotik Treffen) - it's one of the most beautiful cities for me. If you like water, maybe try Koblenz, it's seated between two major rivers, Rhein and Mosel and has some pretty nice parts too.
There are lots of big lakes in leipzig and lots of rivers and they have an amusement park called belantis which is big has some huge rollercoasters around 30 minutes by car but a good workout to go to the lakes and to the amusement park by bike
Leipzig has water, the Pleiße flows through the center, the Weiße Elster and the Elsterflutbecken in the west and around Leipzig there are so many Lakes.
The quality of your videos keeps getting better!
Thank you!! 🤗💜 We are always trying to improve.
I love the city my husband was born there and u are never tired of the amazing places you can find, so much history, music, their culture, arquitecture, the food, I enjoy every part of East Germany, im Mexican and my husband German living in the countryside of Kletzen, Krostitz, thank you for share this beautiful city, I love your videos, Viel Glück, Tschüss ❤️❤️❤️
I recommend to try ‘Kohlrouladen’ made of Savoy cabbage instead of regular cabbage. They taste way better!
"Krautroulade"/"Kohlroulade" is a very widely spread dish in Europe. Its origin is said to be the Byzantine Empire. I wonder why this version is specifically Saxon.
Because every region of Germany has its own variety of quite every dish which is halfway common there. ;-)
I loved the architecture in that city. Absolutely beautiful.
Leipzig is beautiful! I love the zoo🥰 Greetings from Hamburg!🥳 For me Hamburg is the most beautiful city🙃
Greetings from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! HANNOVER is my favourite city overall in wonderful Germany! Lots of green space, beautiful architecture, lots to see and do, but not so well known to tourists (as is North Germany in general). Tschuss, bis bald!
Ich war vor 4 Jahren 🤔in Leipzig . Unser Jahresurlaub im Sommer dort verbracht. Echt ne schöne Stadt. Nette Leute , gutes Essen. Einiges an Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Alles so verniedlichtend.

I never been to Germany but Austria yes, we did, It look like Germany from the way you guys describes is a beautiful country too.
Next time Leipzig... go there on Pfingsten :D Would love to see your reactions :D
Hi Deana and Phil, it's funny I've been there as well in September. Woud have been really nice to meet you guys on the street. You should have visited the Zoo. It was incredible. However I was a little disappointed by the Völkerschlachtsmuseum from inside and the little Napoleon Museum next to it. However the size of that building is impressive. In the park next to it is a crematorium with an old cemetary. Sounds weird - but it's really pretty and calm there. The sound in the Thomas Kirche was really great too. I was lucky been there during a choir practice.
Oh, that's so amazing! 😊 I'm from Leipzig and in my opinion it's a great city to live 😉 At first the many culture options 👍 Great that you are here 😍
Leipzig is a nice City. You should go there at Pfingsten and next time I recommend the Ratskeller for Diner. Or if you are there when they have Brunch Go to the Brunch.
I was there last October and one day wasn’t enough. It’s a very beautiful city. On my walk back to the train station I passed a TV crew shooting some police show. I flashed my Screen Actors Guild at an assistant director but she wasn’t impressed. I did my bit as a pushy American. And, oh yeah, I continue to love your videos. I want one in Hamburg!
Hi, I'm living in Munich right now (German) but grew up in Southamerica . My wife is peruvian. You guys are super nice. Hope to see more videos of you. Please more of USA. I want to leave Germany and stay in Florida or Spain. Keep those videos coming. USA rocks!
Ahh very cool! Peru has some beautiful sights! 😍 Haha we originally had plans to go to the US this Fall, but with the current situation traveling there doesn't look too promising! Hopefully everything settles soon though. 💜💕
@@DeanaandPhil First summer, then the Dark Times. Looks like Deana is going to get the full German autumn/winter blues this year. :D Make sure to put the "Vabali" Sauna in either Düsseldorf or Berlin onto your list already, so you don't forget that before the next lockdown hits -.- ! :D
Thuringian sausage is probably the best in Germany. My cousin and his wife lived on the border in Hesse, they would go into Thuringia and get sausage and meat sometimes because of the quality. Their Putzfrau was Thuringian, she worked for them before reunification, already and came once a week to clean for 20 yrs until her husband retired then she quit, too.
The Musikviertel is one of the most expensive districts of Leipzig. So I think the best choice for you is the Südvorstadt near the Karl Liebknecht Straße "Karli" :)
Hab 3,5 Jahre dort gewohnt.
Check out Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia. Don't miss a boat trip on the Weser. Make sure to take the trip using the Locks to get to the Mittelland Canal. The Canal goes over the Weser river. A beautiful drive through the windmuehle strasse just outside of Minden is worth the drive.
I think this is the best city to live in in Germany. Speaking from first hand experience
07:56 This is Leipzig's city hall "Neues Rathaus", the 114.7 meter high tower is the tallest city hall tower in Germany and the building is largest secular building of its kind in the world. :)
I think Dresden is also a beautiful city in the east of Germany. The history with August the strong is very interesting and there are beautiful sights like the church of our Lady (Frauenkirche), which was destroyed during the world War 2 and rebuild later.
Greetings from a Dresdnerin
I'm from England but my father came from Leipzig. Been there many times to visit other family members. Lovely city so much to see and do, many open spaces and parks, also there Christmas market is very good.
Bielefeld! My parents emigrated to Canada from Bielefeld in the early 1950's. I love visiting my cousins in and around the city. Historically interesting, the linen city, Dr. Oetker, and not to be missed, Herman's Denkmal in the Teutoburger Wald. Great shopping and restaurants!
Viele liebe gruesse von
Gaby aus Kanada!
Bielefeld don' t exist :D
If Deana likes water go to Stade. It's a small city, the centre is almost entirely surrounded by water, it has an old harbour and it's only a few kilometres away from the Elbe.
Oh no, you missed the worlds best restaurant! (But kudos for trying the Kollektiv) Next time you go to Leipzig try the Zest in Connewitz: www.zest-leipzig.de , you will be amazed. If you like the waterside and want to see a real gem of the hanseatic area go and visit Rostock. Its less then half the size of Leipzig but has all the hanseatic and baltic charm.
Less than half is true, but misleading as Rostock is less than one third of the size of Leipzig. It does have around 200k but this is mostly because of the outskirts and feels much smaller. It is very nice, though, with the old harbor directly in the city, very walkable, and the nice beach at Warnemünde only 15 min S-Bahn away. There are also some nice pubs etc. and "student culture". But don't expect any big city shopping or clubbing etc.
Volkshaus is also pretty good 👌🏻
my sister in laws mother makes cabbage rolls for holidays and I never had it ,now it is my favorite!!!
Leipzig is so gorgeous and I know a lot of the locations you show. I am very glad that you also love the city. Greats from Berlin. But there are lots of rivers and canals
Hi Deana and Phil im from Leipzig. You`re Awesome. You walked sooooo much around. Look like both of you walked your Feets totally off. Leipzig is since the 2000 one of the Fast Growing City`s in Eastern Germany now. From 2000 we were only 500.000 inhabitants, now 600.000 like you said...its still growth. Kohlrollanden, never try from the Supermarket...pls cook it from you own...all the Can/Glass bottled Stuff are not worth it buy, and don`t taste good at all. What you`ve not Visited...the big Lakes in the South of L.E. (L.A.) ; )))) the Cospudener See is very big and ALL Leipzig People are go there to the BEACH xD Wish you`ve had seen in, but totally clear that would be too much on one Day. Your city tour was absolutely fantastic I been observing ur tourism in Germany it's really great especially ur narration about city
Cologne was my first choice, but Leipzig just took over first! Awesome!
"Thüringische Rostbratwurst" or "Sächsische Krautrolle"? :D
😍 feeddd meeee
Deana and Phil I want to try both 😫
Thüringer Bratwurst - pls :)
Though it tastes good here as well, to actually get a real "Thüringer Bratwurst" you have to got to Thuringia. The real ones can't be exported outside the state and only freshly bought at a butcher's shop :)
there is a variation of the Krautroulade called Schredderkohl. basicly it is the same meal but chopped to pieces. it does not look nice but it tastes great.
Greetings from Leipzig! But one Thing you really really missed out was the Leipziger Zoo. Greatest Zoo of Germany o/
the most beautiful !
Dorrheeme is am scheensten!!😍🤣😂
My family is from Chemnitz and the area around, I always loved to visit Leipzig when we were visiting my grandparents^^
Hey guys, I lived in Dusseldorf for a few months, then moved to Leipzig and stayed there for almost 2 years, a very nice and beautiful city, hard to make friends though, now I have been in Munich and I do not want to move to another place in Germany. When you are around here, let's have coffee :D
This series of travel videos is great you guys! Good mix of practical stuff like how the hotels are and other daily stuff, sights and buildings and general city feel, and food. I have no plans to go to any of these places but still find these videos fascinating!
You might continue your journey in "Eastern" Germany and come to Dresden. This would be perhaps (after Berlin) a typical electoral/ royal residence city and is one of the prettiest in Germany.
Please stay here. You can have it all here. Parks, party, international football team, nice concert locations, tons of history and most importantly we are insanely cool people. We really are!!! Come back on Pfingsten 😁
Love these videos! I’m from the US and my boyfriend grew up in the Duderstadt area, now we’re both in Leipzig and really enjoy living here. You can get pretty much everywhere by bike and there are plenty of lakes nearby to enjoy in the summer!
Cool video. I know this city is no longer in Germany, but would you guys ever take a road trip to Konigsberg (now in Kaliningrad, Russia) to explore the German history there?
höchstes Restaurant? 110 m?
Noooooo Dx
Da hab ich euch wohl verpasst.
Ich komme ursprünglich aus Thüringen (Th. Rostbratwurst = Beste!) Und wohne seit knapp 7 Jahren in Leipzig. Es ist einfach so schön hier. So gemütlich und viel Natur trotz Großstadt. Zudem sind die Leute alle sehr lieb...
You should check out Dresden, as well! The "Elbflorenz"! My favorite German City by far!
Those cakes looked so yummy!! I agree with Deana that the cabbage roll with the mashed potatoes would have been awesome.
Best German cities at the water: Lübeck (Baltic Sea and River Trave), Leer (Rivers Ems and Leda), Hamburg (Rivers Elbe and Alster, more bridges than in Venice), Wismar (Baltic Sea).
Totally agree. Especially about Lübeck and Leer
Flensburg, Kiel and Rostock are also at the sea
@@haisheauspforte1632 sorry I studied in Kiel but i wouldnt say that Kiel and Rostock are particularly beautiful cities
@@hhbased Rostock is very beautiful, is an Hanseatic city
@@hhbased the center is ugly but Kiel is very livable, there are very nice residential areas like Ravensberg, Blücherplatz and Schreventeich. It is not as attractive for tourists but the city in the whole is not that bad.
Someone probably pointed that out somewhere in the comments but i couldn't find it...so here i go.
The castle-like looking building is our actual town hall. The other one at the market is the old one. And the thing about claiming that the trainstation is the biggest in the world is not true. It is however the biggest one surface-wise in europe and i believe the 6th largest track-wise since they removed some tracks some time ago. Anyways it was fun to watch your visit to my hometown. If you ever plan on coming back here you should totaly check out our zoo it is absolutely amazing.
Aschaffenburg. I was stationed there in 1984-85 and I enjoyed it. The Main river runs through the city, so Deana may like it. Personally, I enjoy the smaller towns and villages. Have a hefeweizen for me. Prost!
