If you need an immersive chill-out around the fire with a full moon, you've hit the right video. Hi Brooke, The constellation you were looking at is Orion! He is so large and majestic! In my opinion, the best constellation! Thanks for sharing your night in the woods!! So relaxing!
Yes the easiest way to spot him is the 3 stars in a row. That's his belt then the 4 corner stars (I call them) makes him look like he's jumping for joy.
Yes! We see Orion’s Belt here in California quite often! :)
I always thought it was the Big Dipper too, because it looks like a dipper and there is a smaller one that looks similar, so I figured it was the Little Dipper. It wasn’t until I got a constellation app on my phone recently before I realized I spent the past several decades not knowing what I was talking about 😂
at 16 mins into the video the camera pans from Orion to Taurus to the Pleiades and then over to Gemini .. If you want to recognise the constellations there are lots of apps for phones ..an easy one for beginners is Skywalk ..just point your phone at a star and it will tell you what you are looking at :) You can also tell your approx. latitude by looking at the orientation of the seas on the face of the moon and by the angle of Orion's belt :)

Rows and flows of angle hair. And ice cream castle in the air. And feathered canyons everywhere. I looked at clouds that way.
But now the clouds only block the sun. They rain and snow on everyone. So many things I could have done, but clouds got in the way.
I Look at clouds from both sides now. From up and down and still somehow. It’s clouds illusions that I recall. I really don’t know clouds at all.

That full moon has been so bright! We've been having the same type of weather here in Eastern Oregon, the snow has melted off in areas, beautiful days in the 50's, more snow in the forecast starting tonight through next week.

That moon.....Oh my gosh when you went to get Moose was that a falling star? It might have just been a camera light thing but I'm going to believe it was a falling star :-) how magical at that moment. Loved the campfire story on that raft adventure. Made me get chills haa but thats what it should have. What a wonderful memory of all that time. Moose is to stinking adorable ohmygosh.

Hi Brooke 😊. I agree, nothing better than a campfire, good food, the moon, and your furbaby! Love to climb in my camper and have the smell of wood smoke all around me. It's Feb 27th, and our temp here in Missouri is 84. But it is dropping into the 20s tonight. Gotta love Missouri weather 😂. Love your videos. Give Moose a hug for me 😊. I make fire starters....dryer lint in cardboard egg carton cups, then pour melted wax into each cup. When they are set, I cut them all apart. You can just light the cardboard. But I'm going to put spices in the next batch. That is such a great idea. Your vardo is so cool!

I so love your life...mine too, though at 75 yrs. I'm not able to do what I once did...but that's life. I've had a wonderful time growing up camping since I was 6 weeks old the first time! We too have a Big Buddy and it is amazing!
