People dont need to stress out when their characters die on PF. Stars are score based so you can challenge this without a sustain and you'll be fine. However, sustains like FX and Luocha who can damage through their ult can use something like a break effect rope to squeeze some damage on the MoC shop, if you clear all 3 endgame contents full stars (2x MoC, 1 PF) you will be able to buy everything. So its a guaranteed 1 self-modeling resin every patch

Important note: Luocha is also very good, because his ult is AoE. You can mark enemies with ease and he is very skill point efficient so you can get more energy on your other units
@@Gilgamesh-em6ruI finished PF with Luocha and had no issues with his energy gain. You have 3 other characters in your team and Luocha is just a nice add on coz of his AoE ULT. I don't even have Argenti which is not needed at all.
Yeah I ran Huohuo and Fu Xuan one on each side since their buffs are valuable and just made the runs comfy, I got 80k on all levels, bringing them don't slow you down unless your really struggling but I'd say you're probably struggling to survive at that point anyways.
I tried luocha, and his AOE Ult is definitely very good. But, if he break the enemies, their turn will be delayed more and so the shatter will also be delayed
So uncommon pair up tip: If you pair Xueyi with Himeko and Ruan Mei (maybe even for the fourth, choose Serval for lightning weak or Herta for ice weak) usually fire quantum lightning are always together as weaknesses. And these guy’s synergies are over the roof, especially with Xueyi’s ability to get the boss as well as some splash damage, while the rest of the team go for mobs. Then Himeko and Xueyi would pop off like crazy due to themselves and the rest of the team breaking toughness bars under the aura of Ruan Mei. It’s quite beautiful.
Chant with me: Pe-la, Pe-la, Pe-la, Pe-la! Seriously though, Pela is insane in this mode, especially with her E1. She can basically ult every other turn to keep stacking the debuffs and she makes the ice half super easy.
One thing i would like to add to Mtashed tips for pure fiction, Asta has universal atk stacks buff, as they dont go away when new mobs spawn, unlike an aoe def shred Pela, whose purpose falls off once the def shredded mob is dead, unless you only want to use her as an aoe ice breaker to proc Himekos' follow ups, then its cool.
One thing I'd add is do not focus attacks on the main elite enemy. Focus on the mobs on the sides. By the time you cleared the mobs the elite will be pretty much dead if not already dead because they get a type of vulnerability debuff when they are solo if I recall correctly that is. Besides that I loved this guide and the things to watch out for. Just wanna add that I personally cleared PF with no erudition units and I used sustains doing it. Granted it was Luocha and Fu Xuan who both have offensive ults so they pitched in.
i havent properly watched a guide from mtashed actually fully intending to learn from the guide in so long lmao just cause the content for hoyo games have been generally easy. I beat pure fiction but not with all stars cause kinda falling behind in building some units since i took a break, so this guide is mad helpful.
another very solid unit, who is under the radar is also yukong. her issue persists but because you mostly run 2+ dps units in pure fiction she works great, because her buffs are so strong she can make up for lack of stats for characters like herta/serval/himeko etc. she requires some speedtuning and is not the easiest support to use, but everybody has her for free and if you can make up for that downside you got a great support for those half-invested erudition units!
This video was very helpful! Thanks for making this. I am glad to see which characters are used in teams and not to go overboard with damage. It makes a lot of sense when it is better explained as to how to finish off these waves of enemies.
I've been waiting eagerly for this every day watching the countdown. I have been wanting to test out my himeko and Jing Yuan against content like this where they can shine. Can't wait to play this after work!
Herta will never be trash in PF if the effects are the only major change, as long as there are a lot of relatively weak enemies to hit, she's going to do very well. Spin 2 win.
This has been the most helpful of tip guides I've seen so far. Most other content creators are just saying use these Erudition units and your golden. As if everyone just has fully built Erudition units just lying around. Especially if like me you just started recently on PS5, can't even clear MOC yet. And don't have even one half built Erudition character... 🤷
This is so true I almost 12 star pure fiction with a lvl40 herta with a lvl 52 lightcone with no lvled talents. Himiko herta is just strong if you can break shields, so I wish the next pure fiction to still have ice weakness mobs.
This is where dual DPS truly shines, it isn't about the amount of damage you do in a turn like you have to for MOC & use hyper-carry, it's about the frequency your doing your damage and thats why herta+himeko are broken, they're follow up who attackers if you get the sequence its practically an infinite amount of turns. Clara's damage isn't tied to her turn but the enemies attack frequency and Argenti has a cheap asf energy cost.
I also used Jingliu and Blade but not together always (depends on the enemy weaknesses). I used used Jingliu, Blade, Jing Yuan and Qingque to finish PF. Two DPS per team with support and healers.
I'd highly suggest for the current pure fiction to use the 2nd buff that debuffs the enemies whenever they enter battle if you are using generic AoE dps units like herta or himeko. If you have argenti the damage boost to ultimate is probably the best one for him.

PF is surprisingly fun indeed and Jing Yuan slaps in there, even on my F2P account! But to be fair, he can clear up to MoC 11 easily, I did see some MoC 12 but with the lightning resistance ennemies, it is clearly hard to use him on that last stage sadly. Glad to see more Erudition units being used overall, they are clearly winning people's heart lately.

I love how i'm only 3 patches into the game, cause i started when the PS5 release came out, seem to know and understand the game modes and which characters perform great in them, but i have such limited resources even with battle pass, that i'm not even close to building a new team yet. Not to mention the lack of potential standard 5 stars, cause i got Claras LC twice and Welt up to E2
My Herta and Himeko are level 60 (my other characters are a bit of mixed bag) with barely any traces, relics, lightcone or eidolons I got 9 star total 2 at 3, 1 at 4 it is insane. I added Xueyi along with Herta and Himeko to fill the blank and Ruan Mei as sole support for that team.
Seele is actually much better than Blade, Jingliu, DHIL in this mode than MoC. The trick is that you can get over 60K without killing Gepard/Svarog by just beating the mobs beside them. And she's the queen of slaying mobs, just like how broken Venti gets with CC'able content. I used Seele, Asta, Tingyun and Kafka (didn't do much, could be replaced with Bronya if you have her). She got me the final star which I trying since yesterday with the other characters. And that too with bad stats 64cr/162cd E0, Herta shop LC.

Tip: go hybrid damage/util on as many supports as you can(I run quantum damage on fuxuan and she can smack the crap outta a whole wave) I also run a medium speed(120) E spam E1 Clara to smack it with ease.
I can understand what you are saying here. Dot or damage over time. Not blast or kill them all at once. So that is why my imbibitor lunae not perform so well here. I just keep boost him alone and trying to finish the battle. Main focus on the boss. I may bring asta and pela again. I don't want to fully invest on herta just for this event. I need to save resources for dr ratio, aventurine, sparkle, sam, etc. 😔
In some floors I found loucha to br extremely strong with the dispell on hid ult and i ran a pseudo-meme build I t...u put the wind set on him and give em the LC multiplication (3 star) and u have a hilarious amount of action advance and with err rope loucha can go as much as a seele with just an ok speed stat...if u throw sum crit in the mix he kinda just becomes an erudition unit straight up.
Spent my fuel reaervoir to build Herta and i realized she was wearing the Himeko LC lol. Finally got the 12th star. Jing Liu hypercarry team on 1st and Himeko + Herta on 2nd.
The Himeko-Herta:Ruan Mei-Gepard/FU Xuan combo slaps so hard, I defeated argenti purly bc he basically killed himself lol. Especially Himeko-Herta have great synergy.
Instead of RM, I suppose both Bronya or Tingyun work well, Asta could also be used for the speed and the Fire weakness. Welt is great for the Slowness. Instead of Gepard or fu xuan, u could use march, fire MC or Gallagher, Natasha or Lynx are great f2p characters where u get a copy of each by playing the game :D
Argenti is actually just cracked in general. no fancy kit. no wikipedia descriptions. just pure raw physical dmg lmao. even against bosses 😂😂😂😂 actual GIGACHAD.

true but assuming you're using fire mc purely as a sustain/scuffed dps to proc rupture then their value would be reduced due to many other characters being objectively better
@@aide1434not many that can do that are better, if you dont have Fu Xuan then FMC is the next best option in terms of sustain and sub dps imo, you dont really need healers here.

i don't think i'll be able to finish building a follow up character to beat this mode that seems a tad skewed in favor of Dr Ratio * erm * follow up attacks. Not in 40 days at least.
Bro I just used my 300 standard pulls to get Bronya E1 (Yanqing outshined by Jingliu, bailu outshined by Huo Huo, Clara didn’t really need her I guess and Welt didn’t seem to useful when I play on my friends account) cuz I was always told himeko was quite bad a lot of the time so I saw Bronya e1 having the best value over time, now this comes out?

if you mean Imeko and Herta as bad units...the reason why they look "good" for now is for buffing Dr. Ratio sales. When the " follow up attack" meta is over ( next will be nihility and probably destruction, given the drip marketing) , those bad units will be back to be...well....bad. Although with the new relic set that enhances follow ups, they might still perform decently even after Pure Fiction is ended. maybe.
Clara is terrible he says, but shes hitting 20K consistent crits. I guess thats terrible for someone who can clear MOC, but his definition is very different

yeah himeoko and kurukuru are way too good at pure fiction right now. mine are lvl 75 and 80 but himeko is using lvl 50 lightcone

Tip: go hybrid damage/util on as many supports as you can(I run quantum damage on fuxuan and she can smack the crap outta a whole wave)
I also run a medium speed(120) E spam E1 Clara to smack it with ease.

I can understand what you are saying here. Dot or damage over time. Not blast or kill them all at once. So that is why my imbibitor lunae not perform so well here. I just keep boost him alone and trying to finish the battle. Main focus on the boss. I may bring asta and pela again. I don't want to fully invest on herta just for this event. I need to save resources for dr ratio, aventurine, sparkle, sam, etc. 😔
My Gepard literally went from a Shielder to Speed buff Sub-DPS in this mode😂😂😂 because I didnt have dmg due to lack of Aoe chars.
I auto battle it with Argenti & Jingyuan, still beat it. F2p. It's very fun.

In some floors I found loucha to br extremely strong with the dispell on hid ult and i ran a pseudo-meme build I t...u put the wind set on him and give em the LC multiplication (3 star) and u have a hilarious amount of action advance and with err rope loucha can go as much as a seele with just an ok speed stat...if u throw sum crit in the mix he kinda just becomes an erudition unit straight up.
Spent my fuel reaervoir to build Herta and i realized she was wearing the Himeko LC lol. Finally got the 12th star. Jing Liu hypercarry team on 1st and Himeko + Herta on 2nd.
The Himeko-Herta:Ruan Mei-Gepard/FU Xuan combo slaps so hard, I defeated argenti purly bc he basically killed himself lol. Especially Himeko-Herta have great synergy.

Instead of RM, I suppose both Bronya or Tingyun work well, Asta could also be used for the speed and the Fire weakness. Welt is great for the Slowness. Instead of Gepard or fu xuan, u could use march, fire MC or Gallagher, Natasha or Lynx are great f2p characters where u get a copy of each by playing the game :D

Unless u have Argenti, which I'm glad I pulled for him he works really well in PF.... So does Blade cuz his Ult is AOE also
FMC would be great for this mode. Lots of aoe and makes you tanky enough to survive what little damage gets through.
true but assuming you're using fire mc purely as a sustain/scuffed dps to proc rupture then their value would be reduced due to many other characters being objectively better
@@aide1434not many that can do that are better, if you dont have Fu Xuan then FMC is the next best option in terms of sustain and sub dps imo, you dont really need healers here.
@@aide1434 He actually builds fine as either your break effect unit or sub dps unit. Fire MC is a sleeper erudition character gated/carried by his preservation mechanics

Bro I just used my 300 standard pulls to get Bronya E1 (Yanqing outshined by Jingliu, bailu outshined by Huo Huo, Clara didn’t really need her I guess and Welt didn’t seem to useful when I play on my friends account) cuz I was always told himeko was quite bad a lot of the time so I saw Bronya e1 having the best value over time, now this comes out?
while this is a great video, i have only been playing this game for a month so every video i check out it always recommends characters i dont have, only premium characters i have are bronya ruan mei welt and bailu for the 5 stars i have alot of 4 star but dont know how to really build them to get the best out of them any help would be appreciated since i am also stuck on the newest story with the starcrusher bug thing
the bug was a struggle for me too! I scraped by with Sushang Pela March7 Lynx. When he put his shield up I ethier went for weakness break or stalled and avoided hitting him
I struggle at last one because I have most single target characters I don't have Himeko or Argenti good for AOE attack

I'm f2p. I have Ruan Mei and I'm very close to my next 5star ( need 10pulls ).. so I'm confused a little.. what should I do get E1 Ruan mei or get Balde ( I don't have blade) or i should wait and get Back Swan ( i love black Swan I'm waiting for her for so long)

imo i’d save up for black swan if i have kafka.But of course even without kafka black swan is insane because she basically give the 99 stack thing from nihility path is SU.Not only that she has defense debuff which further makes her really good plus other stuff

Blade is a really good sub/main dps imo aswell as sustainable that he is a really good pick for overall dps and team comps since he pretty much fits everyone
Sparkles right now as it seems is brokenly op.She is a must pull if you don’t have any good support.She has so much going for her kit that idk how to explain.I’ll give a link to a good informative sparkles video if you want to check her out.She’s basically bronya but strong on both single and team buffs

Sparkles summary: Constant team dmg buff,high crit dmg and speed buff for an ally,gives 4 sp on ult etc

If honkai is able to make bad units good, that just shows the future is looking bright.
if you mean Imeko and Herta as bad units...the reason why they look "good" for now is for buffing Dr. Ratio sales. When the " follow up attack" meta is over ( next will be nihility and probably destruction, given the drip marketing) , those bad units will be back to be...well....bad. Although with the new relic set that enhances follow ups, they might still perform decently even after Pure Fiction is ended. maybe.

Clara is terrible he says, but shes hitting 20K consistent crits. I guess thats terrible for someone who can clear MOC, but his definition is very different
what 11* and teki did all 12 * and he is pure f2p
