@lwlibra , I bought my copy a while ago from cdbaby.com. At that time, it was available at yahoo, aol, itunes, etc. I don't know if it was because of X Factor, but it's nowhere to be found now. I'm hoping he re-releases the album or even re-records some of the Soul'd Out songs for a new CD (which I will happily purchase!). With all of the inquiries, I'm guessing he could make quite a bit of money just from a Soul'd Out re-issue. Anyway, sorry I can't help. :/
@cindygrowup The show might as well be called "The Search for Retired Musicians" or something along the lines of that, because the contestants sure ain't ordinary people at home who can sing like the viewers! They've all already had label deals and albums out!
@crazy4corbinbleux Chris and others That have sung only at the local scene level. That's why They go to X-factor and American Idol to get Worldwide Exposure. Millions of people, including myself never heard of Chris Rene. He's making the BigTime now thanks To X-Factor and his Talent.. Peace!!

@crazy4corbinbleux Just because someone has a CD out doesn't mean they have a "label deal". Many artists are known only in their local markets and scrape together enough money to record at a local studio. And if they can distribute on something like cdbaby then all the more for them. I have a good friend who performs with her husband in a bluegrass band and far from professional - both work at full time jobs - however they do have one CD out which you can buy on line.

Alot of people post on You Tube with the hope of being "discovered" and it does happen once in a while. I see nothing wrong with him or the other contestants who had previous experience trying out for X Factor. It is a rocket launch for their career if they win.
I don't think he would be allowed to sing his own songs at least for now. That doesn't happen in these competitions. They're supposed to cver songs that the public know. Maybe they might be allowed to do so later in the competition when they have strong contenders. For now, I don't see that happening.
