Does Android auto come in full screen when it is connected or partial of the screen?
Interesting screen design! Although the central AC vent gets pushed so far to the left because of it hahaha
It also means the smaller version of this screen looks super awkward in that space!
Do u know how can enlarge the Android or Apple carauto screen, coz on my Touareg it doesn't fit to the whole space

That’s as big as my laptop! Shame they don’t use the whole screen real estate for CarPlay
I think the problem lies with the resolution supported by Apple CarPlay. Since the 15" Discover Premium lacks physical buttons, it has to reserve some screen estate for the essentials (i.e. air-con etc). So 1920x720 is out of the equation, which left 1280x720 the only option. While Android Auto can be scaled to any resolution, depends on the manufacturer's implementation.

@Emmanuel Chan: That's super handy to know! That explains why it's full screen on some screens. So Apple CarPlay can't be scaled on a higher resolution screen?
Very progressive over the standard VW\Skoda infotainment systems out there. Most of that is much the same in other models optioned up, just without the 15" screen and faster processor. No gesture control though? Bit of a gimmick, I never use it mine.
It has a sensor that detects your finger approaching. But I find that stuff pretty useless anyway. it rarely works consistently enough to be useful.
Good lord it massive isn't a model like 17" volkswagon is close!
With Apple Carplay, I think Apple just need to send out a new update

CarExpert it’s almost as strange as the setup in a Mini!
$8,000 grand and no DAB or wireless CarPlay. Very VW.
wireless carplay will probably come to the touareg next year. the new arteon and tiguan already have it
my 2021 Touareg has DAB+ and stream option in the infotainment, so maybe you need to wait for the system update.
