The look on Echo's face when Tech reminded him that they were all now technically deserters speaks volumes. The man is so noble and dedicated to doing what's honorable, he has a hard time adjusting to this new life that they now lead.
Echo is probably still coming to terms with Fives' death, especially with the official propaganda that he betrayed the Republic and more specifically tried to assassinate the Chancellor.
Between Omega smelling the air and discovering dirt, and Rey taking in the greenery of Takodana and the rain on Ahch-Toz, I *really* appreciate the few scenes we get of _Star Wars_ characters first taking in that they're *on another planet.*
I never really noticed that the originals and the prequels didn't really have lovely little moments like this until newer Star Wars media started doing it
@@christianwise637 I think when Anakin meets Padmé in _The Phantom Menace,_ he says something about space travel being cold (but then, he's just come from Tattooine).
Cut Lawquane, his wife Suu their children, Jek, Shaeeah were in an episode of Clone Wars "The Deserter" when Rex was hurt and they helped him recover. Later on, Rex helped defend their home from Separatist Clankers.
One of my most joyful moments ever was when I briefly adopted a stray kitten and taught her how to play with a ball. She had never in her life seen a toy. That's what Omega is like! 😄
Two episodes in, and already a strong investment in Omega and her growing relationship with the Bad Batch leading to superb reactions. “This will work to our advantage.” as the Emperor once said.
Actually my favorite episode in the whole series. I know a lot of people deride it as filler, but I think it has some excellent character development in it and the entire sequence with Tech and Echo stealthily stowing away on the ship and around the Imperial Impound dock really just shows how elite The Bad Batch is and how they are technically Republic Commandos. Also, the banter between Tech and Echo this entire episode makes them the best duo in the entire series IMHO given both of their skillsets.
I find that in a lot of these shows, what a lot of people call "filler" usually ends up having loads of nice character moments that really develop the central relationships of the show, and more often than not end up being stronger than the more plot-heavy episodes
Not many people remember J-19 as a reference. It was in The Clone Wars when Rex got badly injured. I wouldn't worry about remembering everything. Most people don't. Actually watching a lot of reactions helps retain knowledge.
My brother and I used to play the WII version of LEGO the Clone Wars; it was our only exposure to star wars for the longest time. We called that thing "the cat". "KILL THE CAT! NO, NO USE THE RHINO FIRST, THEN WE STAB THE PREYING MANTIS!"
No one can possibly remember all the different character and planet names in star wars. There are just too many of them. This is why I started a few years ago to take notes about all the important characters, names and events in every single movie, show episode, book or comic that I know, so if a new episode features a reference to something that happened previously, I can imediately find it on my list. The list of notes is written in a microsoft word document and the font size is only 10, but still the document recently surpassed the 300 pages. Just to give you an example of how many characters, places and events there are in star wars. I would NEVER expect you to remember all of them 😄
What I'm enjoying is, after watching nearly the entire series (we have, what, four episodes left at the time of this video uploading? Five?) up to this point and having a lot of answers to the questions Jess asks, how much of those answers is going to be heavily foreshadowed and when. I've been enjoying Ben Spiller make his way through the Bad Batch for the same reason.
I really liked Cut when watching him in the Clone Wars so I was happy BB followed up on him and his family briefly. In contrast, this episode has the first appearance of Rampart, a character I came to hate the way others hate Pong Krell.
There is a way child characters like Ahsoka and Omega are usually received by audiences when first introduced, negatively. Dave Filoni knows this and countered it by effectively manufacturing the annoying elements so that he could control the growth out of them, e.g. Ahsoka was super cocky at the beginning of TCW, but she got humbled and we watched her grow from that into a better character.
It's been around 3 years. The kids have grown up a bit. It's always how the clones look that kills me. By clone aging standards, Cut's only around 26. I always kinda' hated how they made the clones look like they were in their 40s and 50s, I mean, gray hair? These are supposed to be young men, even with the rapid aging.
@@AarowSwift The clones don't necessarily just age at twice the rate, perhaps a few age faster. We saw a Sergeant in an early TCW episode (Rookies) have grey hair and Crosshair has grey hair too.
Omega's theme is one of my favourites in all of Star Wars. Kiner always knocks it out of the park with the music.

It's interesting going back to these episodes with the context of seasons 2 and 3
Ah, the one where Omega went anti-Anakin. "I don't like sand." "Dirt is amazing!"

The Dad Batch has begun.
and we love it, lol

It is great to rewatch season 1 with you now I am watching season 3.
One of my favorite episodes because of the Tech&Echo team, they have such a great dynamics
This series is so good! Thank you for reacting to this show and I look forward to see more episodes with you 🙏🏻
That growling lizard thing is the same creature from AotC in the arena fight.

I'm just so happy that we got to see Cut and his family again 😊

I just realized something:
Omega NOT going with Cut and his family lead to the downfall of the Empire and the Sith...
Based on your reaction for episodes 1 and 2 you will love this show.

Dad, Uncle John, Uncle Steve and Uncle Todd!
Great reaction! I felt the same about Rex, so wanted to see himin this era...

I like how Hunter looks like Rambo
Solid Snake has entered the chat
The Jango Rambo.
Hey sesskasays I'm new to your channel I really like your reactions to the clone wars rebels and now bad batch animated series keep up the good work

Cut reminds me of CJ Dubois! Su reminds me of Sonya Dubois!
I kind of feel bad for Cut and his family. It looked like they wanted Omega to he happy with them. :(
Who's your favourite Batcher out of all members of Bad Batch?
Can someone explain why the kids look so drastically different from the other episode?
It's been around 3 years. The kids have grown up a bit. It's always how the clones look that kills me. By clone aging standards, Cut's only around 26. It's been 3 years, combine that with the writers not being sure if they're Cut's children (inherited accelerated aging).
@@AarowSwift The clones don't necessarily just age at twice the rate, perhaps a few age faster. We saw a Sergeant in an early TCW episode (Rookies) have grey hair and Crosshair has grey hair too.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 They aren't Cuts kids; all clones are sterile.
@@shugaroony I don't think that's it. Literally all of the clones look like older men. I think The Clone Wars just borked their appearance.
Is anyone really qualified to take care of a kid?
