Finally a minitruck build, last minitruck build was project bodybag 20 years ago, which really didn't get finished. Excited to see what it's going to look like
Eager to see this bulid! Have a custom long bed 93, 350 and a stock 91, love these trucks so much, I'm a 1st gen lover but will take the 2nd gens as well, glad somebody is breathing life into these sweethearts again!
Yes!! That's what I'm talking about!! Nothing screams old school like a mini truck build. Especially with a killer stereo system for us old school bassheads. 💪🔥
I had a 1990 S-10 short cab long bed with the 2.5 Iron Duke and a 5 speed that I got in 2003 or so with 41,000 miles for $800 because it was a R title. The engine fan exploded one day and blew through the bottom of the engine bay. Luckily it didn't go through the hood...lol
First vehicle was 90 isuzu shortbed. Still have her, now shes windsor powered, msd ignition with 2 step, 18 point roll cage, ford 9" narrowed, AOD tranny with 4.56 rear gears, four link with wishbone locator, coilovers, tubed out. Im currently working on the floorboard and transmission tunnel.
I purchased off the showroom floor a GMC S15 4x4 with a massive chrome package 1986, rollbar with lamps, brush buster with lamps. It was two tone beige and white. Of all the rebuilds and barn finds, I’ve never seen a GMC S15 rebuilt.. I will say, I wasn’t happy with the clutching.
If you really want to have fun with a "mini truck" you should check out NHRA's super stock GT class. I am looking at building a 2000 dime with an L79 327/350 horse from a 66 Chevy 2.
I know Minitrucks are still going strong in the South, but in California where the Minitruck Trend began, most are in Southern California, Northern California not so much.
It would be cool to see a JTR/Jags That Run S-10 V8 install, but they likely won't sponsor, so it won't happen. Their motor mounts and manual are really the only things you need to buy from them, but...
I can't even imagine being limited by say I'm a this kinda guy or that kinda guy. I like it all if it's gotta engine in it I'm into it all rounded kinda guy. Y'all keepemcoming now ya hear.
They used to be cool around here but with all these rich UA-camrs its all about myscle cars and Lamborghinis... The 80s folk done grew up. And right now, NOTHING is "cheap" anymore! So you're basically turning a mini truck into a car... All that crap in the bed makes the bed useless.

Love my 1997 S10. Turned 280k this weekend. 4.3 and get 24 mpg. On the highway. More loyal and trustworthy than any woman I’ve ever known.
330k on my 97 Jimmy. Went through 3 transmissions before I pulled the 4.3 with the last transmission for a 5.3.
First part of the rescue should be to get rid of the eye lashes
Dumbest accessory ever!!!
😂😂 right
Big facts
Just picked me up a 1990 s10 can't wait to start my build
Lets bolt everything on that we can. We'll name it "TV Dinner"

So happy we finally get a s10 rebuild love the s10 platform got a 93 tahoe myself that I'm trying to rebuild
Square body is the way to go! Second generation is just so played out
I remember an Ole t shirt I wore to the meets," the lower I go the more she likes it. Drop em clothes. Totally 2000s
I LOVE LOVE the s10 body style, such a great little truck. I had a 96, that truck burned those tires like nothing, such a fun little ride.
Awww man!! Now the price of mini trucks is gonna go insane. 😢
Which means I could probably sell mine for a good price. :P
I’m excited for this build
Best truck ever, Got a 2003 Chevy S10
Yes!! That's what I'm talking about!! Nothing screams old school like a mini truck build. Especially with a killer stereo system for us old school bassheads. 💪🔥
Mini truck are awesome

I like the vision for the finish truck
Love my mini truck glad to see you guys building one
Making mini truck's awesome again love the mini truck content 😎

Mannn the gang be glued to the tv 🤣
Right on time, let's check it out.
I wanted a mini truck so bad when I was in high school but never got one........ think its time!

They keep on going through the hosts on this show.
Rinse and repeat
I guess the 'focus groups' are having their say
Or not getting paid what they're promised
@@mike_nunes I would be interested what the 'pay rate' is for a show like this ....
@bb040 probably not what we would think, I bet the long time guys are doing it more for the love of the job and not pay checks
Who first had that truck took the word make over to literally 🤣🤣🤣 please guys do your thing.
17:59 "brand new entire cooling system"
Heater core and heater hoses: "am I a joke to you?"
going to be a cool build
I know Minitrucks are still going strong in the South, but in California where the Minitruck Trend began, most are in Southern California, Northern California not so much.
You can buy a full custom frame that will lay rocker with a stock floor for a S10 now.. 😁
It would be cool to see a JTR/Jags That Run S-10 V8 install, but they likely won't sponsor, so it won't happen. Their motor mounts and manual are really the only things you need to buy from them, but...
You need to show your bleed method for the coolant please
I can't recall, where did they get the parts from?
How about a lifted s-10? I like both slammed and lifted. You don't see too many heavy duty lifted s-10s.
Finally mini truck episodes!! About damn time!!
15:24 but thats wrong... the fan blades are offset to prevent harmonic noise. Engineers could care less about giving you space to unbolt something
Damn, anyone else see that front tire wobble on the passenger side? @20:00
Y’all should build a VW dune buggy. That would be awesome.
Way to put thermostat in wrong. On GM engines, thermostat to intake first , then gasket .
I was going to comment but ya beat me to it lol!
The ones with an o-ring don't need a gasket anyway.
Power lock has changed since the days of Stacy David and the original horse power tv with chuck and Joe
Sam and Dave shade tree mechanics
I vote the hula girl stays
😎
I wonder can you do a build with the stock 4.3 V6 and upgrade the Transmission not just swap everything all the time. Love the build still
Not much of an aftermarket for the 4.3 from what i have seen.
Definitely need to bulletproof the transmission, though
I can't even imagine being limited by say I'm a this kinda guy or that kinda guy. I like it all if it's gotta engine in it I'm into it all rounded kinda guy. Y'all keepemcoming now ya hear.
Marc. the c10 came with a 4.3 6cel. e ngine.

Anyone notice the Ranger dash in the mock-up?
20:02 That front right tire wobbe 0_o
Awesome
Looked like the passenger wheel was about to come off when u guys was driving down the road
Maybe a Thermo Fan instead of that silly clutch.
am I the ONLY one that noticed the front tire about to go flying off the truck at 19:59??
1995 Chevrolet S-10
Would of been cool if it was an SS. Still cool tho I'm an s10 guy
How easy it is to put a sbc in it. I hear to easy.
Air suspension is ok for backup but not a primary
Said no simi truck owner ever
Holy unbalanced front passenger wheel, Batman!!!!
Purple thing with chrome wheels = oh dear.
He said not a lot of money😂
Why rebuild a truck if you can't use it as a truck any more???
Exactly its a glorified station wagon at that point junk
everytime i see a vehicle with eye lashes i get this over whelming urge to hang a set of nuts off the back
I'd rather do a first gen Dakota
Like an 80s?
The blow thru is a bad idea
I did all that dumb shit 25 years ago.
Amazing video. 💯
You didn't even watch it.
It's got to be one of the ugliest trucks I've ever seen do something with it please
Gross. Why would you destroy a perfectly good pickup by cutting up the frame and bed? You can't haul anything after you do that.
thats a nice 95 S10 pickup but could lose all the girly add ons
There are no rules... proceeds to list a bunch of rules for a mini truck.
Yikes to the lady add ons...
Yup mini truckin’ is making a return down here in Texas
it is not.
Not a fan of Chevy or Mini Trucks!? Are you part of the LGBQ community?
Definitely not a mini truck fan. Compete waste of a truck since it really can't be used for anything when slammed.
no but ford is😂😂😂
I’ve got nothing against mini trucks, but I’ve got everything against a stock N/A Chevy 4 cylinder 🤮
Back in the 80s you could buy performance parts through GM and push them to 300HP NA.
Not my thing
Don't do the sound system!!!That is STUPID!!!!!!
Now it's going to be a useless truck
supergae content
95 s10 is the worst year ever made.
If you were gonna do a Mini truck you should have done a real Mini truck Mazda B series Toyota Nissan not A Chevy S10
Dumb opinions on the internet never seem to disappoint.. 😒
😂So an S-10 isn't a mini-truck?😂
@@garybrown4671 No they are It's just a personal opinion Of a life long Mini trucker and power nation viewer I would have rather seen them do a import
I love Chevy S-10. I need help, I am looking for a donate extended cab and chassis.
