Been following you for a couple years now and the progress has been fun to watch. Your skill at creating a feeling of glowing is 2nd to none. Obviously, your drawing is great, but I don't think the average person really understands how tricky that glow can be when white is as bright as you can go. I've learned a ton about handling values just watching you. Thanks man.
Absolutely stunning as always. It has been incredibly inspiring to see your growth as not only an Artist, but a Creator here on UA-cam. The overall vibe and aesthetic is impeccable. So in awe of your growth. Well done as always, Chuck!
Thanks Cassy. It's encouraging to read that and it means a lot that you took the time to write. I just saw your latest video, well done and keep at it !
Your videos have helped me alot to improve my painting skills. I was self taught and over the years just been improving but now i am able to paint beyond the cartoonish style and add more realism to it.
It's the end of a very long, stressful day and I'm in so much pain I can't fall sleep. I open UA-cam and my eyes drift over the 12 boxes with their images and titles, all competing for my click. They choose "The Songs Of The Prairie". Mesmerized, I watch the brush dansing like a muse across the canvas, leaving behind strokes of light and darkness. Should I be embarrassed to admit that it made me weep? For 11 minutes I even forgot I was hurting. Smile. Welcome side effect. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
You are one of the most amazing Realist painters I've seen on UA-cam and this has just become my favorite painting by you that I've seen so far. Awesome job!
Chuck, you absolutely captured the feel and emotion of the prairie in this one! The glow of the sunset you captured is akin to Maxfield Parrish's work. It's astounding! The lone coyote, in the glow of the sunset, makes a phenomenal statement, too. I think the direction you're taking your art is showing more of the feeling you have for your subjects. It's an amasing piece of artwork!
This is just incredible, I absolutely love this work, I can almost feel the warmth of the setting sun and the scent of the grasses )) the whole atmosphere is just breathtaking
An oil painting work of a coyote singing in the evening sky. How compelling. So beautiful🌟. I was drawn into your world🤩. I might have felt the same way even without the coyotes☕. Also, the background music could not have matched better🌟. A stunning and perfect video.👍
#Dear #Chuck #Black. We would of course like to thank you for all this phenomenal artwork: Please don't forget the mist, cool the picture with a small stream on the back of that mountain. Dare to be free, even if it's the first time. Don't paint like everyone else. At least paint a single insect, a single butterfly, a single flower, even if you find it time-consuming dear Chuck Black. We always keep an eye on you, and enjoy every little bit of progress we notice from your Chuck Black.
The hardest step is the begining not the last one for the detailing , that's why I love the Impressionism which can always keep the begining feeling for your ARTS
❤ Very beautiful piece of art. Just stunning and the added sounds of the coyote howling kept my 2 year olds attention long enough for me to be able to watch your work in its entirety. Bless you for sharing your talent.
Beautiful painting Chuck!!! Watching the video brought me back to the time when I was hiking in Custer State Park in South Dakota at sunset and multiple coyotes were howling around me. Thank you for bringing back the memory to me!!
Thank you for pushing out so much amazing content recently. Makes me wanna improve and push harder, too. Are passion and talented overrated? I think only if we treat every day as a new challenge, only then can we become and stay great. Keep it up!!
Hey Chuck, I’m new to your channel and been really enjoying your content! :) I’m struggling to get the nice vivid vibrant colors like the yellows you did here, any tips or tricks to a beginner? I got the color wheel and the black/white scale but still not having success with it unfortunately…
Let me make sure I understand your journey. You hyper focused on landscapes for a long time in order to get better at the background details. You used to be really good at painting animals, but you purposely made the backgrounds blurred or less detailed to draw attention or focus on the animals in the foreground. Now, you’re able to achieve great detail to the backgrounds and animals. Thus, improving your overall results.

Great video. Did you use any acrylic with this painting or is it 100 percent Oil?
What is the size of this painting?
