In my humble opinion, Jason Selk provides specific tools on how to have a successful morning, day, and evening. William James, Napoleon Hill, Stephen Covey; Hal Elrod, and Darren Hardy provide tools for proper thoughts, attitudes, and rituals. If you follow Jason Selk's daily plan, with patience, persistence, and diligence, you are bound to have "No Limits", and become "So Good They Can't Ignore You"! None of the aforementioned will be or is easy to perform, on a daily basis. Setbacks, failure, and Murphy's Law will happen! How we respond to setbacks, failures, and Murphy's Law will determine our level of success.
Great stuff. Regarding #5, I've always thought in terms of 'solution solving' vs 'problem solving'....kind of like deductive vs inductive reasoning, it encourages a different perspective and process, and eliminates some of the negative connotations with problem solving.
More gems. As always, much thanks. I would recommend making the identity statement a work/process-oriented statement, such as "I'm a hard-working person who shows up every day, whether I feel like it or not."
+Chris Loper Thanks and my pleasure! That's certainly another way to do it!! In this case I like the more pure purpose/mission-based self-image. Jason makes the point that with a high self-image your effort will easily match your desired state of being. If you don't think very highly of yourself, your effort will match. +Brian Johnson Yes, that idea aligns well with Tony Robbins' observation that “We will act consistently with our views of who we truly are, whether that view is accurate or not.” However, "self-image" is a simple term for a large, varied set of ideas (does it refer to self-efficacy, dependent self-esteem, or independent self-esteem?) My thought was derived from "Manson's Law of Avoidance," which is about why we procrastinate on big things: markmanson.net/procrastination
Fantastic work Brian! My only question is: 3 annual goals with 3 daily systems each means creating 9 new habits + 100 second mental training daily habit. I have found creating more than 4 new habits simultaneously often leads to burnout. Does Jason advocate gradually adding these habits (Slight Edge style) or implementing them all at once? Thanks again, excellent work.
I have an identity statement for you! The identity statement is " 'SupercalifragilisticIbesuchadopeGuru' and 'Guru Swole' are titles that recognize my greatness!" As I stated to you, regarding your Philosopher's Notes on Micheal Phelps book "No Limits", Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Gold Medal Winner Dan Gable was/is incredibly mentally tough! Jason Selk recognizes and acknowledges Dan Gable. Can I get a pull-ups and chin-ups report, please! You and your staff have provided another great video! Thank you!
+Yehuda HaMaccabi Yes! His description of Gable is AMAZING. Got two of his books. Pull-ups: 13 whatever-ups today. Slowed down progression to 50 and changed rules to total whatever style in a day not in a row!
***** Thank you for your reply. Regarding your pull-ups/chin-ups, you will arrive in time. Regarding Dan Gable's books, are you going to make Philosopher's Notes?

I am a smidgeon confused about the difference between self-image and ego.
How can we inflate our self-image...and still keep our ego in check?
Amazing 👌🏼
