Keep scrapping & Have fun!
"Alright, alright, alright" take a sixpack, lean back relax and enjoy another feature length scrap video with Ben...cheers ya 🍻🍻🍻 Greets from Berlin and wash your hands 😉👍
Greetings from PA USA! I prefer rum and will spill a little on the hands every now and then to be safe. Don't be a sheep. Stay well.
@@TechGorilla1987 Is it not better to disinfect with rum inside ?? It would be a real shame to waste such a fine beverage !! 😂😂😂 Stay healthy and greets back to PA USA 😷👍
Wow!! That was sure quite a nice EPIC little pick up from Cisco you did there Ben !! Good Times I say -! Good Times had by all 😁😊😜😋
Keep up all the great work you're doing Ben, and please NEVER EVER EVER STOP doing your THANG my friend !!
Another great scrap marathon, stay safe mate.
Now that was worth the wait!👍👍 You said you were going to do a video of Scrapping them and wallah! Very educational and entertaining Ben. Looking forward to see a scrap yard run. I hope the prices are climbing for you scrappers down under. Hope you get a street scrap video out soon. Really enjoyed, take care and Scrap On!💪💪
1:06:30 they’re called VRMs, voltage regulation modules, usually to provide stable local voltages for the CPUs derived from the large power supplies. CPUs crash when under/over volted ask any PC overclocker how much +/-0.1V matters to stability.
Fun watching how easy Cisco made it to tear these apart. Just big thumb screws and mechanical clamps, and everything just slides out. Great engineering!
Better than Netflix👍
BEN - THAT WAS A GREAT SCRAPPING MARATHON - WE WAITED FOR THAT A LONG TIME - NOW YOU CAN ALSO GO OUT SCRAPPING THE SUBURBS AGAIN WITH YOUR VAN AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN PICK UP - WE HERE CAN'T WAIT - BUT STILL BE SAFE AND LOTS OF HAND SANITIZERS !!!! HELLO FROM BRISBANE !
Great vid, its time to have a clean up, I agree Its time to have another pc marathon! Take care to be safe
Hell yeah here we go!!
Another fun marathon Ben, thank you. I've had the good fortune to get a couple of these, but I have yet to get the numbers you do. Awesome. I do the same as you with the back plain boards - take the gold pins and sell as low grade.
Fiber optic modules... They sell on Amazon for decent money. The little front slide in stick looking things!
Great video thank you for sharing 👍
Hey Ben!You better use old drill whit cord for stripping wire so you dont destroy your cordless drill.Keep the great job.Awesome video :D!
Very COOL VIDEO!! Everything you scrapped was AWESOME!!!
If there was enough time in the day.
You know what would be EXTREMELY COOL, is if you combined gold recovery with the nice scraps like this one! If you took the gold bearing items off the boards (or just something simple like the pins only) and you did just gold recovery (not even worry about refine) on a follow up video after releasing the scrap video!! Then show how much gold you recovered off the pins, or even better do a pc marathon and recover the gold from the fingers!! Got vinegar and salt, I know you're all about safety from chemicals. Vinegar and salt takes longer but it still releases the gold foils!! You'd be the most followed scrap, gold recovery or metals UA-camr out there!! You could have the place in the country set up that much quicker with the big checks from UA-cam!!
A MILLION SUBS easy!!! 10 million possible!!
Have a GREAT Day My Friend!!!!
P.S. Hey Ben, if you read this can you just hit a letter or emoji to let me know that you did??
Thanks!!
I always enjoy watching your videos Ben! :) Great stuff! :)
1:16:03 those 2 huge pins below the pin header carry the hundreds of amps which is why that plate they slot into is 5lbs of tin coated copper distribution
Twin Peaks are two prominent hills in San Francisco, the top of one has nice view point of the city and out to the ocean. Also the tower pictured on the board is Sutro Tower a tv transmission tower located on a hill near twin peaks, and is very visible from much of the city.
yep, also the "codename"/model name for the boards.
your info is interesting tho 😊
1:21:24 these are cisco sfp modules.
Sell them you can get good money on each module.
New Sfp module cost above $100
I think this a lot, but Ben is a scrapper, NOT a reseller. It's a different breed. I've changed my tune a little and understand Ben's direction.
@@TechGorilla1987 Smart scrappers also know when it is worth more to sell than for scrap value. Typically those SFP's can go for 30-50 each used. They are still commonly-used. He has a ton of them there. They are worth probably more than anything else he'd sell here.
@@rgarito Ben has detailed why he doesn't bother to sell things that others find valuable. He's talked about auctions and listings and returns and the like. He's also talked in great detail about things sitting out on eBay for months without a view. There is nothing wrong with people that use that business model to make money, but Ben doesn't. He sees everything as a recyclable commodity aside from a few, rare specialty items. It has a value calculated on the base materials to hand and their ease of retrieval.
You should consider keeping large power supplies for induction heaters for melting metals. Thanks again for sharing
What an awesome haul!
Hey ewaste ben could be a simple fix to your drill, There are three possible cases that could cause this problem. First, you just have a sticky trigger or something lodged into the trigger mechanism. This is a relatively easy fix and just requires cleaning the trigger. If necessary you can open up the casing and remove any debris surrounding the trigger. If that doesn't help it could be that your trigger mechanism is broken and needs replacing. If that doesn't help then it means that the wiring is bad/come loose or a fault with the electronics, could be worth taking drill apart and seeing if cleaning will work, cheapest option b4 having to buy a new drill
Great Video Ben Nice Data Cards For Gold Recovery Keep Bringing The Videos Dude 👍👍
Nice haul Ben.
👍some very nice boards, looks like you’re going to be busy for a while with the pc towers👍
That was cool very interesting .............. Thumbs Up
Those little gold finger things you pull out is for fiber optics. You can see what the model numbers are on those and sell them on eBay. those can either be 1 gigabit, or even 10 gigibit or even larger. those look like they cam from either a large data center or a distribution place for the internet or data communications. I'm thinking some sort of data center, that needs lots and lots of band with. with the size of the switches and power supplies.
You gotta keep the fan module
That panel of 15 fans would make a nice fume hood exhaust fan or put it in a window if it isn't to noisy it should move a lot of air.
Those little modules in the DS-C9509 are SFP modules, those ones are to connect fibre optic cables to the device. Based on the age they are likely only 1-4 gigabit SFP modules which aren't worth much. Seems I can get a single DS-SFP-FC4G-SW which is likely similar to what you have there for £3 on ebay here in the UK.
You want to look out for 10 gigabit SFP+ modules/equipment as that's what people are after these days but I doubt anyone will be throwing out them any time soon.
Nice job
Tin or silver plated brass. Thru are type “N” connectors for higher frequencies
Yea a long video! 😎🌺🇺🇸

No hate, love ya work Ben! I do the same thing as you! :D
Really great video recover some nice stuff ben
Dang thanks for the prompt video on these was eager to see them on pieces aha
Awsome video
Heck yeah it was!
Hi Ben!!! When are you going out street scraping again?
Yeeeeeeesssss!! 😎😎🤟🏼🤟🏼
Those little slide in modules are SPF's. They allow hooking up fiber optics.
I'd like to come over and scrap out all your PCs!
Roe Mantic i think we all would 😊
is a idiot his scapng multi core servers that you could mine with
@@scrapwomblecreatives6944 don't knock some because you think differently! Someone forgot to change there tampon!
NO I JUST HATE WASTE when we are in a dieing world and matey stick that tampon up yours yah
@@scrapwomblecreatives6944 yep im jealous just like you are! Have a wonderful day! Be safe! God bless!
Insane! Well usable. :(
Great video
You can get a drill bit set that has the small phillips bits it saves you a lot of time.
You could also put all of the screws into a bucket. You'd be surprised how much it weighs when its full
He puts the screws in microwaves and PCs.
those little modules are called SFP's and are used to connect fiber cables to the switch.
Great vid Ben. It would be great to summarise how much money you make from a scrap out like this - from steel to boards.
I’m just here for the bird noises
That title is a tongue twister !
Little pluggy things = SFPs.
Hello, I love your marathon videos ! I saw that you find a way to recycle plastic of all kind in the past videos, can you find a way to get rid off the mother boards batterries ? because they are very poisonous for the envirenement. Here in France, it's illegal to put them in shred pile, we have a separate way to treat them. Stay safe et make video great again ;)
P.S: maybe if you hang your camera from the roof, it'll make more space for you ?
Mate im in tassie. I wish we done street scrapping hear but we dont. Someone needs to get up the bum of or councils a lot less would be going to landfill im sure cheers keep it up 👍
jeezz ben you need help scrapping those pc's asap! your definitely going to sink under em! i think maybe you should scrap pc's for a bit to reduce those! im guessing thats about 5 mins per pc, you must have over 150!!! they need going first imho, but you know what your doing 😊
those servers were amazing tho! 😊 dont overdo it please?!
28:50 Why don't you just get a real impact driver instead of using a drill as one? They stop immediately after the button is released. Plus they are soo much quicker to use when removing many screws
Did you even listen to the video? He directly addresses the issue with the drill. Anyone who has watched even 2 of his videos will understand. Stay well.
Your Garage is full again, didn't last long lol
On all the boards,on the sides is gold plated,is it worth cutting of?
All the smal moduls, with one gold finger. I would remove the gold,in the ewening while watching the news. Easy money?
The big fan rack, with 15 fans. Must be ok to power it up,and cool you down while scrapping...
It's gold flashing, no plating. flashing is lower gold content but the one's you saw are a deep orange so they are about the best flashing so yeah, you could add them to lower grade gold fingers
Cheers M8 on your finds . It seemed to me that most of those computers were made by union workers ( the more screws they add the bigger the pay day .) Keep up the good work . God bless y'all.
Hi Ben!!! When are you going out street scraping again?
I love the actions on the streets :)
Very soon!
@@eWasteBen I cant wait :)
You could just took out everything from towers and it would be easyer to put on the table and then reassemble them back. Noone would notice that.
those 4500 and 6500's went end of life i think last year or the year before. got their use out of them. we have like 3-4 of them at work that we retired
When are you going to modify your air chisel to a wood chisel very flat blade?
It can be modified to git your pneumatic hand held machine by grinding it flat to fit flush to get under ALL the chips and IC’s to pop them off all in one row as wide as the thin wood chisel. They come in 1,2,3 and 4 inch widths
I recently scrapped all my cisco stuff and pulling all the gold band crystals for u ben it doesnt go really fast haha
Could you make Street scraping?
Thx
devalue those boards! Get all that good stuff!!!
You collect so many motors and havent dedicated one beefy electrical motor for the wire stripper?
Morn ben this is richard from the usa i need a shout out for your mate gold rush tasmania its a great channel just like yours i have been watching you for a year and have learned alot please help david out he is a hoot just like you stay safe thanks
Every board has the lift levers on both sides. You keep pulling on them without lifting levers. Why don’t you lift all levers do you remember
Good day scrapper....
I always laugh at the thought of recording this and sending the clip back in time. Imagine an IT guy watching you manhandle these boards back when this was insane $.
I'd be interested in finding out how much you're gonna get for just all of the steel cases, must be heavy as!
Little fingers are probably spi connectors
What are you gonna do with all those fans??
$the units go for $500 in my area Philly and New York I get $700-$800
I see a pc scrap marathon in your future
But what are you doing with the powesoplices?
Would it downgrade the board if you remove the heat sinks
No, only if you remove the gold-bearing elements like BGAs and CPUs. If you are selling boards it's better to leave them on because you are getting paid gold price for aluminum.
Do you actually do any gold recovery yourself or do you just sell it all to people who do it themselves?
I love your copper melting/recovering videos, would like to see you do some gold recovery and melting like street tips.
1:20:20 weebs be like: Its KAWAII... Btw nice scrap... Im gonna check if there is sny of that 15 fan sidepanel out there in the internet... Imagina making your own PC case out of fans..
I’m pretty sure it’s the Hawaiian island.
I’m first. Looking forward too watching
Open up a power supply. Open up domething
Check out “later on” means you will not share it. Like mist boards you will not let us ser snything
Would a milwakie 12v not be better for scrapping as there smaller & lighter
Question Ben do you ever show face on cam? if not why? just curious.
check his mumbai vids
@@geoffupton Thank You
Hi ben
The big backplain US $110 most only $7 lb I get $11 lb
Do you want an assistant to help you process all that stuff.? Ken
It is a very specific and specialised parting-out process going on with all that. He's got a zillion buckets and totes. There is stuff he doesn't want plucked from the boards which in other instances would be good for any of his little buckets, and, conversely, there is stuff he'll want removed without affecting board value. There are outwardly similar things belonging in entirely separate containers If he wants it done exactly right then he's gotta do it all himself. He'll crash through a pile of PCs and / or modums in half a morning then still have piles of gear from it put aside for further processing.
Jongle Wongle Who is “jongle wangle”?.
@@kenord3437 Actually I just went onto another upload from June 14, 2019, just now, and towards the end of that he did a talk on how useful it would be to have a extra hand to thin down this and that, but that may or may not have been hypothetical.
I've had guys help before and it's too complicated working from home, i'm out and about all the time and squeeze in scrapping in between, it takes a lot of time for someone to learn how I do things, I end up getting half the stuff done than what I do by myself. sure, in theory a helping hand would be great but there's only so much straight fwd stuff to do, if I had a factory I would hire someone but i've set this up as a one man operation.
love it but do u take off all the heat sinks
only if I want the chips under it, otherwise they stay on the board to sell, they're worth 6 times more on the board
@@eWasteBen, I guess I just found my answer to my question
Does your buyer allow it? After all he is also paying six times more for those heatsinks. Thats the biggest concern/question since in earlier videos u have removed those.
Holly molly dude why cisco
Who is jongle wongle ?
Why don't you ask them? why are you sending all these messages to my videos? this is public chat relating to my videos and you'll get replies from anyone that sees your comment. I did reply to your email.
Ben, why would you sell these boards instead of depopulating?
I depopulate the ones that have a lot of good stuff, the average boards I just pick a few good bits and sell because they sell for good money
I found something you may be interested in. How can I send you a picture
my email is in the description of every video
you need an apprentice Ben. You just have to much
jetman1963 well said!
Kawi =ka y e
Ok magnet is NOT maganet. It only has one a in the spelling
6 euro/kg VS low grade price
forgive me have not slept all week, i suppose you do what your used to doing and you cannot change easy you been a ex prepper Ben made me think you might be interested in selling or trading more than scrapping everything scraps rubbish at the moment we have to look at new ways ben in a new world of new order, new world leaders we need new ways of living covid will take years to fully go if it ever does it will land up where many will be house bound most the time trading up bits and bobs thay get to make ends meet that world like on blade runner and solent green are nearer than you think with a tuch of chips going to control what we do our phones to start with followed by strict control later
