He cooks his own meals, recycles, keeps chickens and seems to like gardening, what a guy! Do you do your own diy, Ben ?although you probably have no time! Keep up these great videos - strangely therapeutic!!
Hello Ben. Those long screwdrivers, we call them "snowmobile screwdrivers" as it's usually tight places to reach in a snowmobile so they do come in handy.
Hey ben, I work in the IT field. I've seen your issue with gopro's before. When you hit the camera, your knocking the sd card off its connector pins temporary. Or your knocking the battery off, causing loss of power. Both of these issues can corrupts the files, thus the "repairing files" screen, Maybe get a different sd card and check the battery connections. Hope this is helpful.
You've cleared up a lot of space. Even though it's the processing that pays $$$, I also find roadside picking more enjoyable. It's like treasure hunting. You just never know what you'll find.
DAY 5 - MORE GOLD AND COPPER RECOVERY - WELL DONE - YOUR STOCK IS NOW GETTING LOWER - YOU NEED TO GO BACK OUT TO DO MORE STREET SCRAPPING - WELL DONE AND THANKS !!!!
Another great video from the Master. May I suggest a short nap to get your scrapping energy up and when you are tired. rest. Please take care of yourself and continued success scrapping.
I work at Knowhow which is basically curry’s so I get a lot of cords and cables from the old appliances also come across some computers and laptops now and again love scrapping them out watching your videos so soothing can’t wait for the street scrapping to start Keep it up Ben 🇬🇧
In holland its worth to cut off the powersupply cables if i sel them complete i get 8 cents more than without wires and i dont have to cut the little plugs of the cable and stil get 1.30 a kilo
Hi Ben. You're evaluating slot cards by gold finger. One medium size BGA chip contain an average $1 gold. And server board you're selling full of BGAs. Any person doing refining will be Very Happy to deal with you. Just my thoughts. Thanks for great videos.
I feel like I'm right there scrapping with you Ben. Maybe hire a teen who needs cash for the weekends to tear down the computers. Pay him per piece he breaks down. just get another battery for the power driver?
DeWalt? More like DeFault! Makita's where it's at! In all seriousness people can argue over power tool brands every day but one brand is never usually better than another, its about how much you pay. A cheap drill is a cheap drill.
Ben’s into the Ryobi ecosystem, switching to new batteries and chargers is a huge hassle and adds complexity because he owns other Ryobi tools. Anyway I think he’s got his money out of that drill by now.
3:15 You're cutting the ends off the Sata cables. Are you saving them for gold scrap content, or are you just tossing them back into the box for steel scrap? Inquiring minds want to know! 14:48 The right tool for the right job. Don't use your screwdriver for prying things apart people. This is the result. A wobbly screwdriver!
Hey Ben, my wife makes something called Linguini cream creole. You should try it out. Its heavy cream, butter, cajon seasoning. Some peppers onions and chicken. And a bit of Frank's Buffalo hot sauce. Its incredible. Also, have you thought about a street scrapping road trip. Head out to an area farther away, just to get a break and really relax.
Ben I have circuit boards as I’m a gold refiner where do I sell my boards to.? Also where do I sell transformers I’ve tried at scrap metal yards but it’s a no go they don’t take them.
Take the battery out of your drill when youre not using it. no more dead batteries. Or just buy a new kit the exact same. Youll have 2 batteries and 2 chargers. constant supply
Love your videos Ben but the sound went a bit od around 24min. I scrap, and jump on anything good that dosnt need to mutch work. Good for the environment and the soul🤔😮😲👌👍
Those rack computers were interesting, they look like some sort of TV capture system of some sort. I don't know why anyone would be capturing like 50 channels at once however. Weird to see the mix of PCI and EISA with DDR2 RAM and LGA CPUs on those motherboard cards.
When I saw the one with the smart card slots, it made me think that maybe it was a hotel setup for sending out Satellite TV channels over coax to the rooms.... That or someone's bootlegging paid TV channels.
I break down all my transformers my local buyer just don't pay anything for them. Well except the tiny ones that has very little copper. Aluminum still has a way to go before it's worth selling again so just stockpiling. Money in the pocket when prices do come back.
@@AXLAXHENNE I don't know what current price is but before bottom droped out of scrap my scrap yard only paid $0.10 a pound I would be afraid to ask what they pay now that prices have fell into the basement. For that price I would rather spend the time to get clean #2 copper and get what I can out of the steel/iron. Rather then sell transformers so cheap. That is a rip off and I would almost consider it a scam getting people to sell copper bearing motors and transformers at that price.
At 33:36 theirs a Green looking Aluminum heat sink or Metal. I’ve never seen it while watching your scrapping videos before. So I’m super curious about what it is and you didn’t mention it. I would really appreciate if you could Comment back and let me know. It’s an old video for you but a new comment on it. Hopefully you get the notification if not no big deal. Keep up the Awesome Work your Content is Great. Don’t let the Comments and the Mean Stuff people say get under your Skin. I let it in one ear and pass out the other. Life is too short to deal with the BS I always say to everyone. Im rambling thanks for the Videos ! 👌🤘👍
Hey Ben! Nice mision! I have been watching them all! Just wondering if you can sell back plane boards as a category or you put them in medium grade? Cheers!
Your getting there mate getting through it all you rather have too much to do then to have nothing to do at all do you have a time of year where your the most busy with pick ups or it busy all year around?
how about for day 7 u do a 2 hour scrap of only the ups's i know i would watch that . and that way u can reduce the pile and make a video at the same time.
Can't wait for you to get back to what you love, street scrapping! Don't let it get you to depressed. I can hear it in your voice. Chin up, and the next thing you know, you're out and about getting back into shape and having fun! Really enjoyed!💪💪👍👍
When i get copper heatsinks like that i prop the alluminum part on 2 boards and use a punch and hammer to knock the chunk of copper out in a few seconds
Extremely pissed off. After calling to double check my yard takes boards etc after seeing on the website they do take it they tell me thet dont take them. Why does the page say it then. So I wont be doing this anymore. The uk is so far behind you guys. He said to me a waste company will take then but you have to pay for them to take it! WHAT!!!!???? So not happy bro.
Here in Nova Scotia Canada the government runs an ewaste recycle program. We "have" to take them to certain depos when were done with them and most people do, exetemely hard to get any ewaste products. We have to pay an eco fee on EVERYTHING when its first purchased to take care of them when they're trashed. So annoying how we dont have this opportunity.
@@AXLAXHENNE so basically you loose twice and your government makes a profit. What to prevent you from removing the boards and non ferrous, give them the shred? I remember when the scrappers in Australia could be paid in cash. Their government, official reason, started making the yards pay the scrappers through direct deposit to the scrappers bank to combat auto thieves. Don't know if it's true but I also heard they are forced to vote or pay a fine.
donnie brown you got it! We lose twice, the recycle depos win twice, they get paid by the government to accept and deal with ewaste and then can sell it to processors by the pound. We however do get paid cash at the scrap yards for everything. No paper trail.
This scrapping videos are so-o-o-o satisfying!
Hey Ben ,just want to say I enjoy watching you scrap. It's awesome man I learned a lot from watching you scrap, keep on scrapping my friend
Thanks for uploading video no.5. Can't wait for tmr. Cheers Ben!

Hopefully you’ll see more of the cement soon.🌺🇺🇸

Keep up the great work Ben very inspirational indeed!:)
Im a fan.
I like what you do. Make a live stream if you want ben.

In holland its worth to cut off the powersupply cables if i sel them complete i get 8 cents more than without wires and i dont have to cut the little plugs of the cable and stil get 1.30 a kilo
Judging by all the rust on that long Phillips head screw driver I bet you found that on a street scrap lol
Yeah, even i need to see some street scraping...thats my hobby as well, Ben :) Like treasure hunting, mate!!!
All that talk about food I had to pause and get some lol!
The Copper heat-sinks are really nice..
Happy birthday to me, nice scrap!
He needs to try a 1/4" impact. They are way faster than the drills
Can't wait to see the ups
Well done.

Good video, I have a toat filled with the brass risers! they are some serious weight if you have a lot of them.
"Certainly worth going for the gold..." and, swish! Misses the easy basketball throw. Stick to rubgy, mate! :D

one and a half hour videos are more nice...At-least for me, i enjoy the scrap session :)

Please show us the cpu's from up close, to check the model, the most interesting part of all pc scraping.
These scrap sessions are good but I can't wait for street scrapping to come back
You are working against gravity ben! Tip it sideways and it will lean out
love it
should be able to get a drill company to sponsor you as its in full view at all times free tools
"Alright, alright, alright" mission high five under 60 minutes ya, but why such a short video today Ben !? 😂😂😂 Keep calm and greets from Berlin 😉👍

always do the bigger computers first they are the bulk the smaller ones dont take up as much room

Are the handels on those black pc aluminium?
how about for day 7 u do a 2 hour scrap of only the ups's i know i would watch that . and that way u can reduce the pile and make a video at the same time.
Ben can you do a video scrapping diff PCs and then making one pc from it and try to flip it for profit
Could use such a 4u case, not local to me so scrapped it is :)
Here we go, good luck with the fingers today. Hope they don't get too bloody. LOL
That first heat sink looked like the old lunar landing module. LOL
@@barrywest3758LOL it most certainly does. Keep it Ben with the plastic on top.

17:02 i found this really funny
Might not be your drill that's discharging the battery but it could be the battery itself I know that the cells inside get worn out and self discharge
When i get copper heatsinks like that i prop the alluminum part on 2 boards and use a punch and hammer to knock the chunk of copper out in a few seconds
i would love to know what cpu that was...
Ben go enjoy some food & a beer
have a seat and lower the table, that should help
thats an asus souncard..thats nice
3:10 im upset.. SATA cables cost more in 1 part than scrapping them... its just no point scrapping them, because they have no value in copper (almost)
Sprity777 true but it costs ben more than the cables new to sell em! yea its annoying but thats just how it is 🙁
Sprity777 you must be new 😝 Ben has his way gonna get you going
@@G-V-M im not new... but i just realized now, that he makes some bad choices sometimes :D i can live with it.. its just anyoing a bit
They have no value selling them as no one will pay shipping anymore. Rather pay $1 on Amazon two-day than pay $8 shipping from him
Peter G. bit blunt but hey a spade is a spade! (using a saying use not the item!) point blank accurate tho 😊 well said
but these computers have never been used, they don't have a speck of dirt on them, and everything shines and shines.

you must drive people who refurbish PC's mad by the way you just rip them to bits etc
You are going to need a break after this.
