Keep scrapping & Have fun!
The amount of work you do, the money you get is well deserved, keep making the $ mate. Cheers from the 🇬🇧
My face when the heat sinks fell out of the bin and made that beautiful ringing sound! I have a 1950's cast aluminum sauce pan with a domed drip lid that sounds like a prayer bell at a Buddhist temple.
As you say, "It all adds up!". I love it when you cash your long term items.👍 Then you have your short term, shred and stuff. This is a great video for those out there thinking of scrapping. I'm happy for you.that prices have recovered. Love the scrap yard runs too and can't wait for the battery cash in. Thanks Ben, I appreciate your videos!💪💪👍👍
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PENTIUM PRO SCRAP!!
Great prices on scrap for sure!!!
Have a GREAT Day My Friend!!!!
It's nice to have the prices coming back up. You've got your work cut out for you with those bins of mixed scrap. Can't wait to see what vids that generates.
Awesome pickup!! I just did my first company pickup and got 20 computers 12 power supply’s and 6 big server’s.
The King I started talking to family about what I have been doing and I a friend of mine works at a good size company and he talked to his it guys and told them about me and what I do.
Love ur vids. I'm a bin enthusiast and speaking for me and all other bin enthusiasts you should definitely do a video where u show all your bins. I love them some really rare ones.
Greetings from Germany😊
"Alright, alright, alright" it´s 2:50 AM in Germany and its copper time with Ben ya 😂😂😂 Greets from Berlin guys 😉👍
Great video. I like the whole cycle from street scrapping to scrap yard finale. Thanks
These vids are the best, so good seeing you cash in and get that well earned dollars for the work you do 💵👍🏽. Also thanks for the little tips and tricks you throw in, I’m just a very very low key (mainly wire and copper) scrapper but iam starting to get what I feel rather efficient and earning a few extra easy dollars for myself. I’m up Sydney and on the weekend I cashed I had low grade insulated @$2.30, copper #1@$6.80 and lead @$1.60 prices were nearly back to pre Covid so happy days 👍🏽
Just what I was waiting for! Thanks for sharing Ben! The prices are looking great and your massive stockpile is certainly gonna make you a decent sum. Hope to see the vid of your next scrapyard run! Cheers! Btw nice to see the Australia Post bin you found put to good use!
Great video as always!! Good luck with all the work you've got there!
What do you do with all the waste plastic?
Its all recycled. He has a video from a month ago showing it.
I send it to recycling, I did a video on it a few weeks back
That was a great scrap run! Can't wait for the next one!
Was a good video to watch... interesting stuff... the prices seem a lot better than the UK 🇬🇧
Well there we have it, Cord Food actually buys more food Kg to KG over extruded Alu. Glad the prices are back up for you guys in AU.
Nice to see the prices going back up another great video Ben thanks for sharing with us
Thanks for your videos..
Great video thanks for sharing
"If I had more data cable, I'd probably have more"
Here in Brazil the coronavirus is having fun, 41k of deaths and lots of underreported cases...
The problem has just started...
Cheers and keep scraping Ben
Keep your chin up over there Pedro - cheers from Oz.
Wow, you've got so much material to work with, don't forget about us and film it too.
In Europe the prices slowly are coming back up! Nice video Ben! Can wait to see those vintage PC and server!
Did I hear an F-bomb drop @ 10:53?
Nice bit of a payday from the scrapyard, at any rate 😃
Keep up the good work man. Cheers! 🍺
Great video. Cool to see you going to the scrap yard. LoL at the forky running his mouth about the extruded.
Sweet mate nice to see you getting thru the muck. nice prices and great payday!!!!

I about spit my teeth out when the fork-man said that wasn't extruded aluminum!! and I don't have dentures. Way to go big Ben you had to school him. Great going on the price I told ya that copper was going up. I think fans and vacuums going to start looking Good!!
Je doet goed blij zo doorgaan 🇳🇱

Looking good found ton
Metal just out driving did video on it. Love the channel
Love the scrap yard runs
That's the kind of crap they try to pull on me, not extruded my azz! Buy it for what it is. Don't care how ya bale it! We work for our money so pay us! Great video friend!
Exactly is not my problem pay me for what the product is
That forklift driver was a ray of sunshine.
😆 some people at scrap yards arent the greatest lol
Love to see the container from MAERSK :-D Denmarks biggest compagny, so i'm proud :-D
Keep scrapping Ben. Good to see your prices increasing
Looks like you have months of work now. I don't think I have ever met anyone as enthusiastic about the work you do.
Wow, my scrapyard isn’t taking any shred metal, that’s what my yard calls it here in the USA, and aluminum and wire there paying junk prices
keepo in mind this is autralian dollars
Keep up the great work mate. I quite enjoy your videos.
Best introduction.. Ghetto Scrappers !! Love your vids brother.
Hell yeah! I loves me some Scrappin Ben and dirty bean water, mate! OY~!
Can I ask where do you get most of your scrap from thanks
Wow you only cleaned out half that garage a few months ago now it's full again.don't think we will ever see it cleaned out completely😂😂.👍♻
Weeeeben!! Here we go!!!
Ben your the best !
That’s a lot of brass, wow I don’t have much 😂.
Love it awesome job Ben you deserve it.
Dang Ben pretty good prices what we get here in USA is different and not sure how the exchange difference is in Australia. But I am in the State of West Virginia and best I ever got for clean #2 insulated is $0.60 a pound and right now it's going for $0.40. My scrap yard won't give me extruded price either for heat syncs they only paid me cast price. If that don't change I expect I am going to make casting out of mine and try and market it to machine shops as machineable aluminum. Because right now it's under $0.20 a pound so prices are very depressed which is why I am stock piling everything. I live out in the country and have 5 acres of land. So room isn't an issue for me I can stack it pretty high then cash in when prices make it worth while.
Your right it is extruded aluminium. I work for sims metal in the uk and something that small we wouldnt be able to bale as we bale longer lengths the small pieces would just fall out through the banding wire. We would have to sell it differently, we would still give you the same price. The forklift driver was just explaining that I think.
Just yank the two blade out with pliers. After you get the hang of it, it's not hard.
@@JDeWittDIYi dont get what your trying to explain?
@@tjsource Grab each prong of the plug individually with pliers and snap it off. It kind of snaps off internally and pulls out of the plug.
Nice Video
Nice prices Ben looks like you will be going back fairly soon with all that cable you've got keep scrapping
I have a suggestion Ben that might help you at the scrap yard. Because it seems to be difficult to get these guys to dump your bins, maybe leave the bins in the van and have them park the metal bin right off the back and you could just tip them in yourself. Just an idea.
Great Video Ben The Prices Here In U.S Are Going Back Up Keep Bringing The Videos Dude 👍👍
The scrapyard I took a swathe of crushed aluminium cans to a few years back never even bailed the haul. It was all simply poured into 3 wool bags for loading onto a big rig with any other freight. Totally filled 3 wool bags with it. Then they just briquetted the relatively minor surplus of that with any other residual cannage. They could just fill up the rest of that very metal container with other chunky bits of extruded and away she goes by big rig to the docks. Its a case of, " I dunno about any crushing and bailing, but that is full on extruded, you fools. ".
YOU HAD ALL THAT WIRE AND HEAT SINKS - GOOD MONEY AT THE SCRAP YARD - NEARLY 1,000 DOLLARS - GREAT VIDEO AND A HELLO FROM LOGANHOLME IN QLD !
They can use those super sacks to ship it off.
I’m surprised they don’t have some type of grabbers to lift your bins and dump them.
made 100 in perth this week ben , youve got me hooked
12.00 hahaha good feeling i know why you spread the cables hahaa so he dont see water im a survival styled scrapper put lead between the copper and thins like that good job my friend
You should make a very long video of scraping and cleaning out waeirs and clearing out CP this week i like your videos.
Nice! What about another episode about your chickens?
do a live \of u cuting takeing apart stuff love the vid
try drilling some small holes in the bottom of your bins to stop the water from gathering in them?
Lucky you No 1 bare bright copper is still only 2.20/lb here in Canada I have a ton of stainless and its only 0.30/lbs
i took some scrap in today i got £289 good vid again ben
That is good that prices are going up there, hopefully that trend manifests itself over here !
scrap to be removed (to be separated) example: electric motors and similar materials how much?
Nice work. Well done! How much do you end up with in a year?
You should do a video showing off your collection!!
Tell them to tip all the bins for you.
If they can’t tip it. Tell them they can’t drive a forklift.
I scrap a lot of aircons and all that alloy is exstroided out of the aircons from the boards.
It so different down there to what it is up here in Brisbane.
Price difference is crazy.
How is your mirror mate? glad to see you have one in hand
fitted and looking good
Good job Ben! Btw what do you guys do with the small wires from circuit boards? What grade do they fall under? Thanks all in advance
jeezz the junkyard dont even know what extruded is! lol
well near $1000 for that lot! jeezz excellent!
cant wait for the next scrapathon! 😊
The prices r getting better hear in the states but not on top yet
Not here in the uk . Its So poor I'm sitting on a shed full. Scrapyards have just started to open back up
Where do u sell this at getting those prices like 1.50 for cat5 wire wow here it’s only .50
How do you get brass from the power plugs efficiently. I've always wondered this. I'm a scrapper as well here in the states
Not sure how Ben does it but I have a vise that I clamp my plugs in and grip the brass with a pair of vicegrips and just pry them out. They don't pull out that hard once cut from the cords. Often you will get a short piece of copper wire come out with the brass. You can trim that and put it with clean #2 copper.
He uses a dremel tool & cuts them off. I boil the plugs up & pull the brass out while hot.
@@sharonknust5873 you can avoid using a vise that way but that adds a extra process and alot of time boiling. A vise doesn't cost much at Harbor Freight that works plenty good for electronic scrapping. The brass pulls out quite easy unheated with the male plugs. The female ends are more difficult tried freezing and breaking but easiest i found for female plug ends is clamp in vice and take a sharp wood chisel and just split them open. The chisel will slice right through the pvc insulation to recover the brass. A vice is a great tool for scrapping and not exspensive.
Ken Jett id love a vice but first I need a work bench 2 save my old back.
@@sharonknust5873 I use a $40 folding table from Wal-Mart works great. I have it set up in my living room as I am disabled and scrapping electronics gives me something I can stay busy with. It really doesn't take much I gave $60 for my vice and mentioned the table. The rest is just mostly simple hand tools a cheap set of wood chisel also HF a set of pliers needlenose, cutters and channel lock from HF a pair of vicegrip pliers a shop hammer and a good bit driver set that has all your torxs, hex, Phillips, flathead, and security style bits. Those are pretty much the basics and if you had to get it all from scratch would be under $150 unless you went for higher price brands. Other than table you can find everything at Harbor Freight. Scrap safe and scrap smart but most of all have fun scrapping. Oh at some point I would recommend getting a decent heat gun. This can be a big help when depopulating parts off of circuit boards that you may want to salvage. Like by bga chips, ic chips and heat syncs and copper bearing items.
Did you ever scrap out that Compaq if so was it a dual processor ?
Ben for the batteries get a small pallet put it in the back of your truck and place them there then have them remove the pallet that way you only work once loading them
fork lifts can't get pallets out of my van, the back door gets in the way, side doors too small
@@eWasteBen dam that sucks
You are good with electronics yes? I wonder if you ever thought about creating a hopper with hydronic lifts that would also dumps and would fit in your van . That would be so awesome!
Nice
Good goin 👍💪I enjoyed the video , keep making tht $$ 👍
HOW MUCH DID YOU GET FOR THE WATER?
what is a pentiom pro and is it worth money
what do you do with the plastics?
Did you get your mirror fixed?
yes, I fitted a whole new one
@@eWasteBen 👍
Don't they publish scrap prices online?
excellent payout my Mexican over the border friend ,,,,, yes a lot of work involved, :-)
More please
Pretty good. From doing this, what's your annual income? How long do you work each day?
scrap prices in ireland are coming back. the lowest i've seen was 40 euro a ton about a month ago. was in the scrap yard wednesday and it was 70 euro a ton
👍good to see the price has gone up,did you manage to fix the mirror on the van👍
yep, all done
Why dont you take your ramps to the scrap yard to unload, it would save wear & tear on your van & bins?
you know you can drill some small holes in the bottom of your bins to let the water run out. Since you're just using these bins for recycling and not gooey smelly garbage, there would be no reason not to do it. Large dumpsters have drain plugs in them to drain out the water and gooey mess, most people don't realize they are there for that purpose.
I worked for a TV repair shop once in a parking lot recessed on a slope. the only means of water escaping was a small drainpipe at the bottom of the lot. It got clogged once with large plastic bags and the entire lot filled up with water after a downpour and the dumpsters started floating. The only way to put them down and keep them down was to remove the drainplugs. problem Solved. I took off my shoes and socks, walked over to the pipe and pulled out the bags. That sure was fun. Water was about 2 1/2 feet deep.
Wow 👍
What do you do with all the screws are they worth separating out
scrap steel
