Nicole bb16 got screwed by the BOTB twist. Rockstar & Haleigh in season 20 got screwed over by the Hacker Twist. But Not really since they did all get their chances to save themselves. Also rockstar really did screw herself over

I can see the appeal with Rachel, but her eviction week highlighted composure and even confidence issue she has to work on. Kaitlyn potentially created or personifies a new/recent archetype. However, unlike Rachel, I can see he repeating the same mistakes, albeit entertaining. Ironically, had she won re-entry, I still don’t think she would have made jury since I can see her beating Bayleigh in the following HoH only to then cannibalize her side once again (either Scottie or Bayleigh depending on if news of her power app got to the level 6 side, which I think it still would have but by different means) with her reward of getting backdoored the following week by level 6 for being too threatened and even exhausted by her.
Why BB17 should be on this list: Week 1- Audrey goes from running the house to becoming the house parish after overplaying. Week 2- Probably the most boring week at the beginning, but the Twin Twist was basically exposed. Also starts Shelli’s rise to power. Week 3- Julia tells Vanessa about her twin Liz and the Sixth Sense is formed. Hilarious fight between Vanessa and Jeff. Week 4- Audrey overplays once again after being in a good position with Shelli winning HOH, but her fight with Clay makes her disappear from the house for hours and eventually evicted. Week 5- The plan to backdoor Austin is formed and immediately almost backfires when Liz wins the BOTB by herself leaving Clay and Becky on the block. Clay wins Veto and Vanessa is convinced not to backdoor Austin, so Jason is blindsided which exposes Clay and Shelli. Week 6- One of the best power shifts in Big Brother history happens when James wins HOH and puts the dominating showmance of Clay and Shelli on the block. Multiple fights happen through the week and hours before eviction, Clay and James go at it face to face.

I really wished JC would have been expelled right before the battle back (due to all his sexual controversies throughout the season and his bedroom incident with Tyler alone should have gotten him removed) and Rachel would have been sequestered after her interview (while modifying her interview like she was somewhat a juror (like not house or most outside info)). That way, they could give her opportunity to be in jury (like the remaining houseguests, as they would have been 7 and no chance of a tie, vote to have either her or America fill the jury vacancy. In addition, modify the jury battle back to have 2 houseguests returning (regardless if Rachel was voted into jury or not) to keep in pace of the game (like still have the double and not special eviction the following week) I think part of the reason I am mentioning this is JC may have a predecessor with inappropriately putting his hands and even feet on people without consent in the form of Nick. I can get why production won’t air racist comments or other messed words or comments unless they absolutely have to (in light Jackson’s mother, from what I heard, tried to shed the show for deformation of character or her son). However, incidents/controversies like what Nick, JC, or BBUS 19 Jessica have done is something production needs to intervene to avoid it happening further, even if it means removing said houseguest. The houseguest already live in an environment intended to mindfuck them regardless of the gameplay, personalities, house design, or twist. You don’t someone sexually crossing lines as that yield repercussions for both the offender and offended beyond the game.
Jacob Bradford I’m aware that Bayleigh would shoot her mouth off spewing anything if she didn’t like what the person said. Unfortunately, as bad as her mouth, JC antics overshadowed her, which is weird since she got pregnant in the house (Production is lucky she fucked up her HoH week so badly to make her the level 6 target that week, or they would have had a very interesting situation since they can’t expel someone for getting knocked up) With season 19, incidents came from nearly every houseguest following Dominique’s eviction (I think Elena and arguably Mark were the only 2 that didn’t say or do something questionable/controversial past that point) With season 15, all the comments made notably from Aayrn and GinaMarie affected the whole house to the point where production had to air that. Afterward, After calling out Aaryn for being racist, Amanda became a hypocrite, and a few of Spencer’s comments, along with Amanda, we alarming to say the least. Although season 20 had many incidents, the overall gameplay was considered both good and arguably classic (despite being last season). However, with how many houseguest crossed lines and how bad some of them got that season, production needs to intervene with that stuff more.
Lost Soul I’m aware of that, especially since everyone, per the rules, is at least 21. That said, JC was a horn ball, who didn’t know when or how to keep his hands to himself, especially when it came to Tyler, who he had a bit of a crush on. Big Brother, in both US and Canada, needs to crack down on anyone who has any form of creepy crush or stalkermance on another houseguest (In addition to JC with Tyler, think Caleb with Amber, Kyra with Chelsea. Etc)

BB16 had their own incidents like that, because Caleb/Amber wasn't the only time a crush that season bordered on creepy, since we also had Frankie getting way too up close and personal with Cody, Zach, and Caleb multiple times

Brandon Haines The first half of BB17 is one of the best starts to a season. Weeks 4-6 especially were magical. The season goes downhill after the DE and Johnny Mac returning.
Kaitlin was such a treasure. Losing a puzzle that couldn't have been easier is just so iconic. BB16 and BB20 had amazing act 1s, it's just too bad the rest of those seasons were so horrible

the reason why bb21 felt so cold at the start is prolly bc of camp comeback. Made it feel like there were no stakes to evictions bc they were still inside the house and you knew one of them was coming back
CJ Rehv and there was not power shift ever expect for cliff winning hoh. in bb20 it was interesting cause the power always went back and forth with blindsides and surprises but level 6 was always able to make something good happen even when it seemed all bad or they weren't in power
Instead of putting bb16 here i would have put bbcan5 that season had the 5 most dramatic pre jury evictions with Mark being evicted 7-6. Dallas going out with a bang.Legends Casssndra and Gary being evicted was a shock to most. And Emily getting backstabbed by her alliance was also pretty entertaining.
I think if this list has taught us anything it's that you do NOT need dumb, pre-jury twists to make a season good. While I do agree that season 20 deserves a spot (definitely not the top spot), it likely would have been even better without Power Apps and Hacker Comps. It feels like these twists have more often than not made it harder for the people on the bottom to take control. Jeff's Coup d'Etat was the exception; not the rule. I'd give an honorable mention to season five. Their endurance comp that Diane beat Jase in was on the same level as Jennifer/Kaysar in the box. Some big personalities went early and the crumbling of the Four Horsemen was a thing of beauty.
Love the content. I thought season 15(Andy won it ) had a great jury(and season as a whole). I loved Elissa being MVP every week and upsetting the Aaryn-Gina Marie-Kaitlynn alliance. For the first half of the season, we got a rare instance of the women and misfits aligning to take down the tri-couple alliance.
Scott Coleman In most seasons, the Prejury is the best part. Once Rockstar left last year, BB20 had one of the most boring endgames in Big Brother history.
I think that Maggie is an underappreciated winner. You're right about convincing Howie to get rid of one of his own. But she also made sure that was the #2 for each person in the Friendship.
Two other season with notable pre-juries 1. BBUS 5- Twin twist and the birth of the backdoor 2. BBCan 2- mainly Ika Wong (from her personality, to her disastrous HoH week that led to her backdoor the following her. Then, she gives one of the craziest moments ever in Big Brother of any version with the letter shredding. After her flameout in Week4, one of the most noted power shifts, courtesy of Canada, in BB US or Can happens from First Five to the Sloppy Seconds.

Discussion/Analysis of the first juror and what effect on that they jury and what type is best to send first (Big threat like Jack, bitter jury like Bayleigh, or a more logical player, regardless of bitterness they have, like Shelly from BBUS 17 or Mitch from BBCan4 2. Analysis/discussion or even evolution of the bitter juror member or even a bitter jury and it is okay to bitter to any extent and even situations where it might be okay to be and even vote bitterly, like Candice toward GinaMarie in BB15 or Alec toward Jillian in BBcan1 Top 5 juries in BB US and Can.
I find it fascinating that you say Derrick played the greatest game in BB history in the same breath that you recognize how bad Battle of the Block was as a twist. That's the same reason why Derrick's game is incredibly overrated. BotB made it easy for a quieter, more calculated player to lay in the weeds because it favored massive numbers dictating the entire events of the house. I have a hard time believing that Derrick wins - or wins as easily as he did - without BotB. BotB guaranteed that the jury would be made up mostly of his allies. Chances are the numbers would have been more even, alliances wouldn't have had a reason to stay strong together, and Derrick's game would have been more on display without BotB.

bb16 surprised me. that was my first season and i remember being so bummed during the week 5 noms. it was like i accepted that it was going to be a boring steamroll

I feel like Big Brother 12 deserved a mention. Between Brendon and Rachel terrorizing the house, and targeting people like Monet and Kristen out of pettiness, Kathy being a trainwreck of a competitor, both physically and socially, Annie's one week of sabotages making everyone paranoid, Andrew annoying everyone and then throwing Hayden and Kristen under the bus before he goes, and Matt having one of the most abysmal HOH reigns ever all because of his own ego, those first four weeks were definitely the most engaging of the season, before it slowed down to a crawl with Britney and Enzo having to carry it.
Funny story: at my work there is a new girl named Alicia and I keep accidentally calling her Angela because I ask myself all the time what's wrong with her 😂
The main reason why bb10 is a popular season is because the amount of drama every week like April and Keesha about to slap each other on like day 3 is insane

the reason why bb21 felt so cold at the start is prolly bc of camp comeback. Made it feel like there were no stakes to evictions bc they were still inside the house and you knew one of them was coming back
CJ Rehv and there was not power shift ever expect for cliff winning hoh. in bb20 it was interesting cause the power always went back and forth with blindsides and surprises but level 6 was always able to make something good happen even when it seemed all bad or they weren't in power

Instead of putting bb16 here i would have put bbcan5 that season had the 5 most dramatic pre jury evictions with Mark being evicted 7-6. Dallas going out with a bang.Legends Casssndra and Gary being evicted was a shock to most. And Emily getting backstabbed by her alliance was also pretty entertaining.

I think if this list has taught us anything it's that you do NOT need dumb, pre-jury twists to make a season good. While I do agree that season 20 deserves a spot (definitely not the top spot), it likely would have been even better without Power Apps and Hacker Comps. It feels like these twists have more often than not made it harder for the people on the bottom to take control. Jeff's Coup d'Etat was the exception; not the rule.
I'd give an honorable mention to season five. Their endurance comp that Diane beat Jase in was on the same level as Jennifer/Kaysar in the box. Some big personalities went early and the crumbling of the Four Horsemen was a thing of beauty.
Love the content. I thought season 15(Andy won it ) had a great jury(and season as a whole). I loved Elissa being MVP every week and upsetting the Aaryn-Gina Marie-Kaitlynn alliance. For the first half of the season, we got a rare instance of the women and misfits aligning to take down the tri-couple alliance.
Cyrus sorry but season 15 was awful!! Though not as bad as 19 🥴
Who honestly remembers the prejury in most seasons now. It's ridiculous no one is memorable
Scott Coleman In most seasons, the Prejury is the best part. Once Rockstar left last year, BB20 had one of the most boring endgames in Big Brother history.

To this day I still hate that Casey from BB11 went out so early. Dude was more entertaining than most who go far on this show.

I think that Maggie is an underappreciated winner. You're right about convincing Howie to get rid of one of his own. But she also made sure that was the #2 for each person in the Friendship.

1. BBUS 5- Twin twist and the birth of the backdoor
2. BBCan 2- mainly Ika Wong (from her personality, to her disastrous HoH week that led to her backdoor the following her. Then, she gives one of the craziest moments ever in Big Brother of any version with the letter shredding. After her flameout in Week4, one of the most noted power shifts, courtesy of Canada, in BB US or Can happens from First Five to the Sloppy Seconds.

1. Discussion/Analysis of the first juror and what effect on that they jury and what type is best to send first (Big threat like Jack, bitter jury like Bayleigh, or a more logical player, regardless of bitterness they have, like Shelly from BBUS 17 or Mitch from BBCan4
2. Analysis/discussion or even evolution of the bitter juror member or even a bitter jury and it is okay to bitter to any extent and even situations where it might be okay to be and even vote bitterly, like Candice toward GinaMarie in BB15 or Alec toward Jillian in BBcan1

I find it fascinating that you say Derrick played the greatest game in BB history in the same breath that you recognize how bad Battle of the Block was as a twist. That's the same reason why Derrick's game is incredibly overrated. BotB made it easy for a quieter, more calculated player to lay in the weeds because it favored massive numbers dictating the entire events of the house. I have a hard time believing that Derrick wins - or wins as easily as he did - without BotB. BotB guaranteed that the jury would be made up mostly of his allies. Chances are the numbers would have been more even, alliances wouldn't have had a reason to stay strong together, and Derrick's game would have been more on display without BotB.

Big brother 16 had two good week's in total but agree with the rest of the list :D.

I feel like Big Brother 12 deserved a mention. Between Brendon and Rachel terrorizing the house, and targeting people like Monet and Kristen out of pettiness, Kathy being a trainwreck of a competitor, both physically and socially, Annie's one week of sabotages making everyone paranoid, Andrew annoying everyone and then throwing Hayden and Kristen under the bus before he goes, and Matt having one of the most abysmal HOH reigns ever all because of his own ego, those first four weeks were definitely the most engaging of the season, before it slowed down to a crawl with Britney and Enzo having to carry it.
