I think the worst twists are the Night 1 evictions in BB14, 18, 19 and 21. Not even giving these houseguests a fair chance at playing the actual game of Big Brother smh
Sarah Key the battle of the block gets a lot of hate, but the the game effect that it surprisingly yielded was for the Veto getting used more frequently while the twist was in play for both seasons it was used.
I agree that it’s pretty exploitative but watching Cowboy try and learn what he can about his dad without alerting Nakomis was one of the most pure moments in BB history
The twist where production controls the game from the dr has been my favorite for years "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE YOUR DIARY ROOM SESSIONS WITH OTHER HOUSEGUESTS" "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT PRODUCTION"
I saw Paul in the thumbnail and jumped in long enough to say Paul coming back in S19 and getting voted the opportunity to take 3 weeks of unfettered safety, as well as still being allowed to compete in comps, was a hugely unfair twist.
You know since the Den of Temptation was supposed to release a consequence (I forget what Paul's was), having Paul not being able to compete in anything for three weeks would have made it so much more interesting.
@@meganmarchionda1165 his consequence was essentially naming a third nominee at some point (actually, someone else had to put themselves up as a third nominee I think) and he chose Ramses. Like, wow what a HUGE consequence for PAUL. *eye roll
@@Agju Thank you I actually forgot about that. For some reason I thought he lost the temptation comp. There was no point in that being his consequence. Him not being able to compete would have worked better.
@@meganmarchionda1165 plus, that temptation was based on a public vote. Gee, a bunch of new players and the fan favorite from the previous season....I wonder who'd win??? It's like when Rachel's sister was eligible for the America's Player votes in S15. Not really a fair setup.
Got a video idea for you. Best big brother derailments. Players who were in control of the game and riding high for several weeks before it all came crashing down. Some good examples would be Clay and Shelli from BB 17, McCrae and Amanda from BB 15, or even Nick and Bella from this season. One of my favorite things in Big brother is the unpredictability and a season gets boring if the same people keep the power. So when those people lose that power and end up on the bottom all the sudden, it truly is a breath of fresh air.
Neda BBcan5 (Spoilers) When Canada voted her to have safety until jury and she became a cocky, powerhungry bully and got voted out like 15 minutes after her immunity was up 😭 most epic downfall
I like that Boogie was the only one that chose not to reset in bb14 I think that's because he would of prefer to play with Will or he figures why to play the same game again and just play something new, I think with BB17 twist they just chose to stop it cause the cast was pretty much perfect for that season
I swear the pandora box of bb13.......it gets me so triggered every time. I can still smell the lingering BS of that twist every time some casual says Rachael was good at the game.
With the Takeover twist, Julie apparently did mentioned in an interview (likely with ET or the Talk) that twist got prematurely cancelled after the third week since the Big Brother thought there was enough going on between the Twin Twist and Battle of the Block.
I love Pandora's box as long as it's not too powerful. Also if there's going to be a game changing power inside the box then we should know what that power is BEFORE a new HoH is crowned so we know it's not production interference to help a specific player.
I know what it's like to not find out about a sibling until I was 21 and *NO WAY* would I *EVER* want to do that on a nationally televised tv show. How awful😐
Mark Soucek the power apps twist had potential since I believe some of the power apps were intended to work with each other but ended in week 3 instead of it playing for the full perjury phase or modifying the hacker comp ability to from switching a nominee pre Veto to hacking the app to getting one the power app not selected (I believe part of the Whacktivity twist was to give the some of the used power from last season another shot to get into play). Luckily for Scottie and the Foutte/Hive side, the comp store closed on week 3 because someone better give me a good argument how Brett would not have been top trending in Week 4 had that twist lasted the full time (Had that happen, I want to say he may have picked upgrade (likely what the panic power was except maybe the window the power was good for)
i loved pandora's box and the twists of the mystery button like the one that changed frankie from HoH to being evicted because the week was redone, id personally love for those to return. and heck they could even do it as an American vote for what surprise happens a few weeks before hand (so we cant know the HoH or players that it would affect so it should remain fair [ie we vote week 3 and voting ends week 4, but week 8 the event happens]), let us choose if the HoH gets a reward from the box or if its the house that gets rewarded for pandoras box. for the buttton we choose that the week is reset, or a 2nd veto competition is held, or the HoH can compete again for power this week only, etc.
If they bring the coaches twist back, but don't give the coaches a chance to play the actual game at all for the whole season, then I would be happy with it.
I hate when there is a mix of returning and new players. The returning players always have some sort of HUGE advantage. Just do another all stars if you want returning players.
Most new players have watched the seasons before. They probably know anything and everything about how the veterans play, so they have to have some kind of advantage
Somehow in every season that mixes returning and old players, an old player is in the final 2 (except bb11) bb13: rachel bb14: dan bb18: nicole bb19: paul
That season with Eric as America's player was the worst. Ruined the strategy of the best social player, and turned him to boost the game of the most unbearable player in BB history. I didnt mind the DNA twist much
I honestly stopped watching Big Brother a while ago because the show is kind of a joke now in my opinion. Most of the twists have great potential but are rarely handled correctly, the cast are normally just good-looking people that have never seen the show, and I can only watch adults embarrass themselves in comedic antics for so long
Felt the same with The Amazing Race. The atmosphere and adrenaline used to be intense and felt so real, like I was traveling with the racers in a high-stakes journey. But during the 24th or so season, I felt like the vibe changed and the show has turned into some sort of choppy travel vlog that has focused more on doing tasks than showing the teams connecting with the world. I've stopped watching since.
Your channel is really helping introduce me to Big Brother 🇺🇸.. I’m from the UK so grew up with BBUK 🇬🇧 which is completely different.. it’s more of a social experiment and if the housemates on the UK were to be strategic they would probably be hated and the public would vote them out.. I’ve now caught up on season 2, Season 10 and season 16.. and I can say I prefer Big Brother 🇺🇸👏
i have an idea for a twist. ik its a little crazy, but here goes, they double the cast and make 2 houses, like tribes on survivor, theres one big comp for house immunity, and the house that loses plays a normal round of big brother, than once theyre down to 16, they merge
In Filipino Big Brother or PBB Teen-clash 2010 I think it was, they had 2 games going on at once. Half the teens who were from well off families, or international players lived in this apartment and the other half of teens who were all Philippines born and raised and were from families with a lot less privilege stayed in the house. They even had them interact in weird competitions and events. Like 3 of the international boys from the apartment came into the house out of the blue as smelly ass backpackers and there was a whole thing where the houseguests had to keep an apartment guest from escaping a pseudo-prison. And they had no idea that in a few weeks they would put them all together in one big game. I’d check it out but PBB is VERY different from other western BB with not really any social game being played and it would be cool to see something like this but done again in CAN US UK or AUS
I should have watched this a while ago. Anyway, after watching all three videos I noticed that there were some twists that weren't even mentioned in any of the videos. I didn't see any of the jury twists. Reducing the jury down to 7, raising it up to 9, the final two of BB2 each being allowed to cancel a vote and the jury being sequestered which started with BB4.
Do America’s player but on the game related give the option, do what America votes for and win cash or do what you want you want and lose that amount from a guaranteed pot. Fun but the game can play organically if the player wants.
I hated America's Player. I especially hated that it was put on a guy like Eric who might've done really well on his own. That season of Big Brother was compelling enough without all that interference.

Friendship twist ruined BB19. It literally sets the tone for the rest of the season: "if you go after paul, you will go home. paul is your safety this season". Those two themes carried through the entire season. Josh winning is just the cherry on top.
Hey Peridiam! There’s this really cool reality show on UA-cam called “The Totem Pole” it’s really good and I think you should watch it/Do a video on it!
For the examples you gave in Pandora’s box that you didn’t like (such as when Porsche won) could you please make it more specific on what happened? I didn’t watch every season
julia 1234 At the F6 of BB13 it was 4 v 2, Rachel/Jordan vs. Shelly/Kalia/Porsche/Adam. Porsche wins HoH and noms Rachel/Jordan. Then Pandora’s Box appears and a ‘duos’ twist from the pre-jury comes back, everyone is put into a duo with another player. So if the veto is used, both Rachel & Jordan come off the block, and Adam & Shelly go up (Porsche buddied with Kalia). And then the veto comp that week is the same HoH comp as the first week that Rachel won. So Rachel wins the veto, both herself & Jordan go off the block, and now they both control the votes for the week. Out of the blue.
WELLLLLL... Id have to dosagree about returning evictees being a pointless cause because look at Gary from Season 1 of BBCAN he made it to the finals after eviction. Only one to do so to my knowledge and he would've won had the Topaz vote never happened

And the day 3 double eviction in BB9, but Jacob was a bad player and Sharon got a second chance, so it all works out
The worst twist:
