Netflix is done digging their grave and is laying down pulling the dirt over their face
No its not real they trolled you!
@@NaraSherko it is they stopped it because of the huge backlash they got.
@@NaraSherkodude yeah it was, they experienced massive backlash from the public causing them to backtrack. At least do some research on the topic before talking again shit

I have never seen a company that is so discounted from their customers as Netflix. We have been shouting, for years, that Netflix shows' quality dropped. And their response? "We are losing customers because of password sharing lol"
Seriously the only reason I even have it is because the whole family watches it and some of them don't live at home. But none of us using enough to justify buying it individually so we likely will just not use Netflix anymore any of us.

The fact that Amazon thew shade at Netflix regarding password sharing says a lot about how shitty this decision really is.

I miss those days
Did they reallyyyyy say that????
Yup. They have really stepped back from that position. :(
They have actually stated that they anticipate that once people have stopped cancelling subscriptions over this, they will actually see more subscribers come in than those who cancelled within a few months. I'd love to see what the data shows by the end of the year.
That's a lot of boldness from a service that's only saving grace is it's slightly easier than pirating.
Easier? Psssh. Magnet links yo.
Gimme a P! Gimme an I! Gimme an R, A, C, Y! If they wanna play hardball, we can too.

Or........ You should be allowed to just share a freaking password for free
@@DarthRaider exactly. Why go through all that when you should be able to password share for free? I'm not tech savvy, nor is the majority. Making my own VPN sounds like it's complicated and seems like it would cost more than the few dollars extra being paid to Netflix each month. Or, the work involved seems like it totally wouldn't be worth it to save just a few dollars. So that really doesn't seem like it would make much sense to me.
That is 56 dollars a month for a family of 5. Hell, it’s 672 dollars a year.
For just Netflix. JUST NETFLIX.
The average cable subscriber actually pays LESS for fucking cable.
Netflix was popular because it was cheaper than cable and more accessible than Blockbuster.
You can share it within your home so not exactly
My mom told me if that EVER pops up for her shes canceling Netflix. The service is already so much and they STILL want more for awful content.
It's wild that they don't think people will just leave them at this point

I wish I had Netflix so I could cancel it on protest.
Don’t worry they canceling themselves
Netflix really shot themselves In their foot, people are gonna leave instead of paying more

So if I go on vacation and sign into the TV in my hotel, they're gonna charge me an extra $7.99??

@@SleeplessSoup from what I'm reading as long as you have the account owners permission you can get a travel login.

For real I’m deleting my Netflix and I think my family will too
Lol I still get emails like it's from an old ex from netflix counting how many days it has been since we last saw each other.
My Netflix recommendations are going to be “go watch Hulu”
And we all watched as Netflix subscriptions halved in response so they changed their rule back in desperation, but it was too late as no one could be bothered to re-subscribe.
They have? I thought they were to stupid to do that?
I never canceled a subscription so fast. I don't know anyone that has Netflix anymore 😂
THE ANTI PIRACY MUSIC - I remember those little “you wouldn’t…” clips
Five year old me knew:
Family in the living room, board games, movies most likely rented from blockbuster, and a dinner consisting of a giant table of gameday-esque snacks and movie snacks
Meant it was family movie night.
And that music was always playing for those “you wouldn’t pirate…” clips, which always played before the movies.
Blockbuster better get into those meetings and get there business back up 😭
Someone needs to write a python script that logs in every 30 days
That will be the end of Netflix
I don't share my password but I have multiple devices the moment. I see a bill I'm going to cut them off.✌️
I’m just buying DVDS and seeing movies in theaters from now on.
I don't like theaters
It’s been years since I saw a dvd, let alone a dvd player 🤣
Hbo max????? Yeah no everyone’s going to the seven seas-

This will slowly kill netflix 🙃💔
I'm surprised they haven't taken MatPat's suggestions to save themselves. Ah well.
A company doesn’t want to get stolen from and it’s their fault?!?
As a single service member, this is why I will be canceling Netflix. I don't have a consistent home address or it's a PO box. Currently, I'm TAD and have left my last house and canceled my internet service.
Where do I go now? I won't be at my parents' house, where I generally keep my more consistent mailing address, more than once a year.
THE PIRATING AD MUSIC!!!! that brings me back man shoutout to the editor
Piracy is back, Boys and Girls! We livin' the 2000s II!
Netflix is REAL confident that we care enough to not only watch their exclusive series, but also pay them to watch them. Like babe... ill just go back to pirating them
More realistic:
“Wait where are you going?”
“The Pirate Bay”
They forgot their existence is predicated on us deeming them slightly more convenient than piracy.
As a trucker who doesn't go home every 30 days, that's why I canceled Netflix the day they said that.
Yep my youngest went to college and Netflix wouldn't let her log in. I cancelled that day. F Netflix.
People give them the power to do this. Everyone's saying they'll leave but how many people are leaving?? They tried this in Canada which is basically America from a different timeline and still decided to go through with it here. We have to genuinely starve them. This needs to be a movement. I hope this increases piracy of Netflix originals specifically.
"where are you going!?"
"Oh nowhere..." 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Blockbuster just come back already!! 😭
- Where are you going?
- I’m sailing the seven seas, yarrr!
God, your shorts are always funny asf
Love that this is the audio from the piracy videos that were at the beginning of each dvd movie.
"where are you going?"
Yar har, fiddle de dee
Being a pirate is alright to be
My first thought when I saw this was college. Like what you do want me to do fly back to my parents house once a month?
Yeah I'm going to have to figure this out.
The second they start to actually start trying to enforce this, I'm gone like Donkey Kong.
"Are you going to HBOMax too?"
"Oh, haha, no no. I'm pirating 😁🖕"
The "you kean 'Max'" bit was genuinely funny! :)
Anyone else remember when Netflix posted a sharing is caring post way back
And thus, my subscription is gone.
I think Netflix has been on its way out for a while now, I just didn't think they'd be showing themselves out like they are...
Hulu and Disney, here I come! Netflix has nothing left of any interest anyways. (*Deactivates Netflix account*)
There's been entirely too many VPN ads for Netflix to try this shit.
This is actually annoying because I have two homes, and by this algorithm--I'd have to pay extra.
What… what if I move?
There was only a couple exclusive shows ACTUALLY WORTH watching on Netflix. I had to cancel my subscription temporarily, and I don't think I'm gonna renew it.
Some of those good shows get DVDs of the whole season you can just buy from stores soooooooo
Oh my god, the music in this is from my childhood. Like from those ads that say, don’t pirate movies.
Back to the Bay we all go 😂 Plex has been neglected for too long
Let's just agree that streaming services in general suck
It's why I engage in the good old past time of watching for free online
*Jolly pirate music starts playing*
Netflix is really pushing their luck considering their entire existance is based on them being slighty more convienient than pirating
When Netflix first introduced streaming video, they were competing against piracy by providing a more convenient service.
The music selection was perfect
Nah Netflix acts like they aren’t one of the worst streaming platforms
Americans starting to sweat, this was already rolled out in other places in the world (and it quite often doesn't even work)
Americans just shrug and go I'll then take my business elsewhere and then maybe just pirate the shit
That music is Veeeery fitting
Imagine if hackers started getting ahold of accounts and started ruining people’s lives by making them pay extra for extra accounts
It looks like Disney want to follow in the same bad footstep.
Netflix’s downfall has arisen, no tears shall fall from my eyes
People have too short memories and too addicted to convenience for the backlash to be long term or people to go elsewhere. I hope people do make a wave though at these greedy companies
Ya. Travel Nurse here who does 3 month Assignments… and sometimes (even though it is in my contract) I get real crappy schedules and can’t go back home for over 31 days… thanks Netflix.
Stopped Netflix Facebook and Instagram in 2014 and never looked back my new stupid addiction is UA-cam shorts 🙄🙄🙄🔫
Have you seen the Velma series? Hell no I’m not going to HBO max I’m heading to Disney+
Love the music choice. I would in fact download a car. Piracy is the way folks!
That’s a funny way of saying the high seas
Ah the nostalgic you would never download a house.
netflix acting like there isn't any other streaming service that
1. has more/better shows
2. doesn't try to screw over their customers
netflix dug their own grave and now lay in it while other streaming services and even themselves bury them
I remember seeing a short about how some guy got hacked by some random french guys and they made their own profile on his account and named it hilariously. Then when he went into their profile to look at it he actually liked what random shows they were watching and started them.😊
Lol I like it too! So funny!🤣🤣🤣
As someone who is in the military this has become something I will never get because deployments are several months at a time. So in order to use Netflix I would have to pay way more. They have made it geo specific.
People gonna now set up a vpn to their home lmao
Do what you want cause a pirate lives free, you are a pirate.
😂
Everyone in my family cancelled netflix because theyre all retired snowbirds that travel alot.
Netflix made the mistake of assuming their service is a necessity. It's a luxury purchase and others are available. Not too smart treating their customers that way. I cancelled on my lunch break. Been there since the beginning but I won't be back
You KNOW the original script said "to pirate my shows" 😭
Once they started dropping the shows we got Netflix for in the first place, I was out. I can't believe y'all let them play you this long. Pirating is 1) better 2) cheaper 3) at this point, probably easier.
And they wondered why the stock went down so much
