I upgraded to a Stage 2 set up in January of 2024 on my 2017 Ultra Limited with the 107ci M8 engine. I added a Wood 22XE, Wood Knight Prowler lifters, Fuel Moto Quickie pushrods, S&S oil pump and cam plate, S&S tappet cuffs, Screaming Eagle 55 mm aluminum intake manifold, Screaming Eagle Ventilator Extreme air breather, and an S&S Sidewinder 2/1. After dyno tuning, my bike makes 113 hp and 118 ft lbs. My gas milage have been hovering in the 32 to 34 mpg range. The Wood 22XE is a great cam, but has a flat spot from around 2000 rpms through 2500 rpms. After that, it's really aggressive!!! Great video, and nice bike!!!
Just got my bike 22 FXLRS (117) in the shop for the stage 2 with that cam and power vision. After watching this video I’m even more excited ! Great video!
I have a 21 roadglide limited. I am considering that cam. I ordered mine without the rdrs for tuning purposes. I had a 17 ultra I did stage 2 on it. Right now I am enjoying just how smooth and quiet it is stock for now. Your bike does sound good. I used to get droning in my ears from my old bike with Rienhart header and RC 4.5s
The 2 1/2 standard baffles in those TAB cans will greatly reduce the noise if you are running Zombies. I tune my setup with the FP3. Same cam, after market cam plate, lifters, oil pump, cam chain tensioner. I removed the restriction in the stock head pipes, and that made all the difference. Back pressure is a myth on the M8. Mine is the 107. Until I removed that restriction, it would run out of throttle before the RPMs spun up. I liked it before but had no idea what I was missing. V&H had to send me a custom tune for that cam. At least then, there was not a map for it. Nice ride!
So I have a 2022 road glide great video as well I have reinhardt dbx4 and screaming eagle tuner so you highly recommend the woods doing my homework b4 I pull the trigger to have it done you would think the HD dealer would be the best place to have it done seeing if something goes wrong they have to figure it out thanks
My 2018 heritage classic is in the shop asi write this getting the 22xe cam, S&S oil pump and cam plate, fuel moto adjustable pushrods and lifters, Arlen ness knuckle big air sucker, bassani 2 into 1 long rr, and dyno tuned but the cycle doctor in Costa Mesa CA! Did you replace the tappet cuffs? Reddit says to replace but Harley mentioned otherwise for just a stage 2.
That’s awesome. Let me know how you like it once you get it back. Yes I did replace the tapper cuffs. It just made sense to me. The Harley ones are plastic.
Change the zombie baffle to the louvered baffle and your numbers should increase and still sound good….especially with decatted head pipe and your cam set up
How do you like the woods cam now that you've put some miles on it? I also have the Tab 50 cal with zombie baffles and TAB 2-2 headers. I LOVE the sound. Do you think the cam makes it TOO loud?
Who did this mod for you? I'm doing about the same with my 2020 Road King 107, What kind of tuner did you use, did you have it done on a dyno? How did the Cam and tune effect your fuel mileage? I certainly agree about that 2-1 esp on a touring/bagger,, Yea you need the torque cones, it will help with your torque cones.. You should tell us you are doing an compensated review (noticed your call for free Tab to send you cones) We would like to know as unbiased opinions can be hard to find.
And this was at a Harley dealership they made the Dyno mistake? On two bikes at the same time? Are you sure it was a mistake since you're using aftermarket parts?
Yes. They admitted that at that time they had not dyno tuned any 2021 touring model bikes that had the RDRS system. So they did not turn off the traction control and other systems before dyno tuning it. So all my check engine lights, codes, and tractions control were all lite up and not working. They had to contact power vision to figure how to fix it. It was a month long ordeal.
@@jimyounger9490 I put the z rings in it, and it helped a little to tone it down. It’s still pretty dang loud. Anything over an hour, I’ll put ear plugs in. I thought about putting different baffles in but I may switch the exhaust system all together.
Yup, try switching to the Standard Louvered 2 1/2 baffle. It’s an easy swap and I did it with the cans still on the bike. You will love the sound more than the Zombies I promise. I think you indicated you were running aftermarket head pipes. Whatever they are, lose the cat. That restriction ruins performance. Back pressure is a myth I can attest. Especially with that cam. The exhaust valve stays open for a few degrees of crank rotation to take advantage of the negative cylinder pressure created by the exhaust pulse leaving the header pipe. Air/fuel charge begins flowing in before the piston can pull it in on the intake stroke. Any restriction will ruin scavenging affect and you won’t be able to take advantage of the flow.
Tts175, Chris Rivas 474, cycle Rama 480, and Star 30-30. Only cams to run in a 114/117-128. My 30-30 with 5.5 inj make 125hp and 137tq. Buddies with cr480 made 118 hp and 135tq. So many better cam options.
@@truetrades7056 I’ve yet to see one make more than on the fuel moto dyno, which they push woods products. All other Dynos I’ve seen the woods 22 line falls short 7+hp.
Bumpus HD in Memphis did mine. But my prices isn’t a good one to compare to because a friend cut me a great deal. I only got 1/2 priced labor and 15% off parts.
The bike runs great, you are happy with it, it runs stronger than your buddy’s with a different tune, yet you are complaining about gas mileage? My guess you didn’t go with the xe cam to improve gas mileage. Get a Prius if you want gas mileage
You will not get a better performance out of a 2 into 1,, a 2 to 1 to 2 with a cross over gives you way better performance! Take the catalytic converter out of your stock headers! Have slip ons like you have with baffles! Watch,, you’ll be happy!

Awesome bike. Want to do the stage 2. Will this void the warranty?
Depends. Some dealerships offer in house warranty for their work.

Tabs is the best in the market.
Loud pipes saves lives my man.
thats because they lose so much power being loud pipes they cant go fast enough to hurt ya 😂
Where is this beautiful neighborhood you are driving through? ❤
Off of Reid Hooker Rd, which is in East Shelby County tennessee, My neck of the woods as well.

The jumpy you’re describing is probably the aggressiveness of the throttle. The more aggressive, it will make it jumpy til you get used to it.
Does that cam cause the bike to run hotter?
But how does it go? More explanation required.
I have a 20 rg limited, luv it!
Wasthe upgrade to clutch springs suggested to you or were you just being preventative??
bike sounds awesome
Do you think the TAB Header is the limiting factor for HP? Would going to a FullSac header a better choice?
did you get the z rings after this video?

Still have the catalytic converter in that bike
Nope
What happened to your fuel economy?
He gets 34-38 after the cam install. Watch the vid.
Don't run the bike in 6 gear at low speed you'll take the fly wheels out. 80 mile hour then you can youse 6 gear. Most riding is 3 gear
