Where is the new Album James? 8 years ago you promised more guitar music and more solos! Nothing like that happened! Electric light was the biggest disappointment for me and then it all stopped.. kinda… BRING BACK CHAOS AND THE CALM GOOD OLD JAMES!!!

@@user-px4db2sk4p No no, don‘t get me wrong, I absolutely adore Chaos and the Calm, but what makes Electric Light so special in my opinion is that it tells a story from start to finish. All those dialogs between the couple is just genius. In my opinion, you can just „see“ the music in Electic Light due to these small details in the interludes. The whole intro, the interlude - that‘s what makes it so special to me.
I clearly accept if you prefer his first record, it simply had this „classic“ acoustic guitar vibe, but I simply don‘t get all the hate that James got for Electric Light - it was brilliant as well, just in a different way.

@@user-px4db2sk4p And I think it‘s a little shallow to just break Electric Light down as „Modern pop“. James included so many details in his songs - it‘s clearly more than that. Just listen to it with good headphones. You can hear so many secret background sounds in songs like "I Found You“, "Wanderlust“, "Wild Love" or "Sugar Drunk High“ + he definitely integrated 80‘s/90’s pop/rock sounds in songs like "Pink Lemonade", "Wasted on Each other" or other songs like "Stand Up“. Definitely some Michael Jackson, New Order or Daft Punk vibes.
And don‘t forget the Gospel vibes in "I Found you“ or "In my Head“
