Hi Paul, You have already made some nice progress on the kit. I think this kit can be built either with a shield or as the instructions say, no shield. I still have a lot to learn about the 88mm gun, This is going to look really good when you get it built. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

That looks far more detail and better than my tamiya one!!! Excellent job done on the first boogie Paul! (the majority of the build will be fiddly, there's a lot of tiny bits) You are making the flak 36, Aka the anti tank version, the flak 37 is the AA version. Welcome back to UA-cam Paul, and welcome back to modelling online, the 88mm is one hell of a beast and I can say this, this will make a truly fantastic addition to your projects. The 88mm is a real beaut, was developed as a heavy and highly powerful AAA weapon originally but was a truly effective and incredibly effective anti-tank weapon, main weapon of the infamous Tiger 1 and King Tiger tanks, which I'll be honest and say.. you see this thing and you go cold. I saw one at a war museum and... Well.. I've never fought wars but the 88mm certainly scares the hell out of me. Your off to a beautiful start, the project looks very great even though it's early days, this'll look incredible when done, looking forward to the next episode, well done on a great start. Also if your interested my project the B29 Superfortress Korean War.. I've still yet to get past the interior but.. at last, it's coming along, if you want to see what I'm going with... I'm going with a B29 called 'top of the mark', give it a look at some time. Great work Paul, you've done a great job so far, stay safe, wishing both you and Sue a truly wonderful week. Reminds me of some of the instructions from Dragon Models. They are so vague that you have to make it up as you go along!
