Fill plug on mine was a 1/2" pipe plug ... 8mm allen wrench size.. Drain plug was same as yours but had a magnet on the end... had a thin brass washer for a gasket... i bought car new so i know nobody changed em.... anyway... good video except fer that rtv !
That’s exactly how I do it. I’m sure some people prefer to use the frame rails, but I’ve been jacking it up by the diff since I got it in 2016 and no issues here.
Why couldn’t you pour the rest with the funnel instead ? 🤔How hard do i torque both bolts down ? Just so im 100% ready 🤣 its my first time too and i have no idea when was the last time it was changed
Thanks for this video, it was very helpful when doing the job on my Monaro.

When using a floor jack to lift the rear do you jack up the rear under the rear differential

I have 2004 pontiac gto automatic transmission. Do I still need to add type f friction modifier when changing differential fluids
Yes sir, as it stands, this is the recipe for GTOs of all years.
yes
Ever since changing your differential fluid, have you had any problems
No problems at all. I’ve even done a burnout and some hard accelerations. No issues at all. I highly recommend this stuff.
it gets rid of problems if anything.
holy shit i cringed when you put rtv on the diff bolt holy shit why
