    Ive been riding for about 3 months on a modified kawasaki vn800 classic and had tons of fun, but as the winter sets in, its just not enjoyable. Ive tucked it into the garage and just purchased a 2023 ninja 650 with the touring pack. Has panniers, protects against the wind, powerful enough, doesnt want to kill me with too much power for the rain, is forgiving, looks amazing and all at less than £130 a month. What more could i possibly ask for. I absolutly love my 650!

    Got to try my step dads one, nice step up from a 125. Im 5"9 and 83kg, was a perfect ride and from a 125 had the oomph I expected and really enjoyed it, made me rethink what bike I want.

      It’s a perfect bike for that next step up too. Also I think it looks really nice. That’s half the riding experience, how she looks 😁

    Strange to think that this bike started off as the ER6. It then went through a make-over in 2018 and, with a few tweaks became the Ninja 650 that everyone raves about. Same engine in the ER6 180deg crank. similar performance, similar weight. But the Ninja 650 has a smart new set of clothes. interesting.
    Bloody good bike though!

    I am between this, the Z650, the CBR650R or the CB650R for a bike mainly for highway trips and sometimes commuting through heavy traffic. Any thoughts? :)

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  Рік тому +2

      If Highway is something that will unfortunately be within your riding, then id go for something like this with some form of screen/wind protection. The other two naked bikes won't offer you the protection on the highways and it can become very tiresome having wind hitting you all the time on highways. Hope this helps. Ride safe.

    Are there any vibrations?specially at the handlebar?

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  9 місяців тому

      Usual vibrations mate, especially when left in a lower gear and getting it higher in the rev range. 🤙

    What's this specific color called? I can't find it in my local shops anywhere here in Texas, San Antonio

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  Рік тому +1

      It might just be an European colour, i know a lot of manufacturers sometimes differ their colour schemes / names etc between USA and Europe. Like the MT10 in the UK was the FZ10 in the states. Same bike just different name. Sorry that’s probably not what you wanted to hear though :)

    You cannot ride a 60+ HP 650cc bike with A2. Just to get it out there. Definitely NOT a beginner bike - A2 allows for 48 HP where I live, with a 'prescribed' power-to-weight ratio.
    The Ninja 400 hits the exact specs for A2. So do the KTM Duke 390, the KTM rc390, the Honda CBR500 and basically any other recent bike in the 400 category. They're tailor-made for A2. Which sadly also means that anything stronger isn't ok anymore.

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  Рік тому

      This bike along with the 790 duke I have just reviewed are both able to be A2 compliant. You’ve just listed a bunch of bikes which hit the A2 regulations from stock.
      Feel free to go onto Kawasaki and KTM websites to check my info if you wish.

    • @TheGrandmaMoses
      @TheGrandmaMoses Рік тому +1

      @@DSR1YT Ah sure, if you buy a plastic part for your throttle it reduces down to 48 HP and is A2 compliant.
      I thought you were talking about stock, my bad if you weren't. Then again, virtually any bike is A2 compliant by reducing it to 48 HP, so...well, whatever. :)
      Fine test, I enjoyed the video! Have a nice day!

    • @DSR1YT
      @DSR1YT  Рік тому

      @@TheGrandmaMoses No, not all bikes can be made A2 compliant, if you look on Kawasakis website they show you all of their A2 or A2 compliant bikes, it goes from the 125cc range up to the 650cc engine range. Ive copied a sentence from the gov website explaining why it can't be anywise motorcycle on an A2.
      a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.2kW/kg - the motorcycle must not be derived from a machine of more than double its power.
      Glad you enjoyed the video though 😁.

      @TheGrandmaMoses Рік тому +1

      @@DSR1YT Ah yeah you're of course completely right, forgot about the 'not more than double of 48HP'.

    great bike, the engine is boring when compared to the 270 degree parallel twins in other manufactures.

      @@josephjoestar995 hy,this bike is super comfortable , super handeling , good for speeding when you desire to play . There are some things I would like change . Suspension is to soft for me and it doesn’t have adjustment on front fork , vibration on the handlebars I have to fix , and the mirror I would like to change . It super for daily riding and it is perfect for beginner and medium driver . It is that bike that always bring you back home safe . This is the reason that I both it . Honda is boring in the town , when you go out of town and you can go faster then it become interesting . Triumph is a super bike but is naked and more expensive , but is not a beginner bike . Yamaha mt 07 is super as well . That engine is less vibration and more powerful in to second and third gear . Also mt 07 have soft suspension . My brother have xsr 700 with ohlinis front and rear and it is a different bike from o stock one . Top speed and performance are similar to Kawa and Yamaha . Kawa top speed 219 km/h, Yamaha xsr naked 217 km/ h . This what I have reach on the high way . Probably mt 07 or tracer to have more top speed . I prefer Kawa because is more sexy , it is sport touring not a naked bike , and the handeling is beter in my opinion . If you like more power and you drive out of town Yamaha tracer 7 is the perfect choise . If you drive daily in the town and once o month outside then Kawa is the perfect choise . Kawa it is only for you , Yamaha tracer is olso for the second pasanger . I always have dream to have a Kawa , but my next bike after I will reach more experience it will be , Yamaha mt09 in my range of money and if I will win to the lottery it will be bmw S 1000 X-R m power . I’m not a native English speaker so if i have mistakes you will understand me .
