Enough fuel supply is essentially important when car is being modified and tuned. During the tuning process and increase in power, stock high-pressure fuel pumps usually quickly reach maximum level of output and capacity. If high pressure fuel pump does not work efficiently enough - engine lacks fuel. You will not be able to withdraw maximum output from the engine and it can lead to engine breakdown.
On some cars, for example 4.0tfsi, this problem can appear even on Stage 2 level of upgrades (tune and downpipes), leading to "fuel cuts" especially in the midrange (3000-5000 rpm), that can lead to disastrous consequences. Sure thing, when we deal with Stage 3 level of upgrades and further, this is a MUST-installed upgrade.

I am the owner of the 2018 RS6 C7. Thank you for sharing the video with us. I plan to change the K&N Intake filter + 3.5-inch down pipe and 3inch mid pipe, ECU with Stage 2. Should I change High pressure fuel pump？thank you.
