FYI i'm not completely read up on my Dragon Age lore yet, so if I made any mistakes then let me know in the comments below. Also, what are you personal lore predictions for Veilguard?
I'm a filthy casuul for Dragon Age lore, but I do in enjoy the games. I just pick a random option when they ask me to make big choices involving political shit. I'm like "IDK...I support the mages, I guess?"
I always thought Architect giving a broodmother consciousness was evil af of him, even if not intentional, ofc she'll go crazy, imagine being awaken and realising what you are 💀
Although more info about the Black/Golden city being the ancient kingdom of the Elves will probably be further explored in the game. It is still important to note that Corypheus also confirms that the "Golden City" was already black when they entered, still emphasizing that we don't know what caused the corruption. (even though lore is kinda telling us that it was something the Evanuris did) A specific detail we'll probably uncover in-game.
My world state probably won’t matter much in Veilguard…… maybe for the best, I messed Thedas up pretty bad 😂 My Warden romance Leliana, impregnate Morrigan and got nearly everyone else killed My Champion Hawke romance Merrill and got pretty much most ppl in Kirkwall killed My Inquisitor romanced Cassandra, enslaved the damn knife ears and got nearly every companion killed I wasn’t much of a hero 🤣
It feels like going to the Black City HAS to be a big moment. Too much has pointed to it and we've received so many conflicting ideas of what happened. I'd say it should serve as the climax of the series, but with the way the world works now, nothing ends. I would love for it to at least close out the actual Dragon Age within the lore and start a new age.
Hopefully yeah. The Black City is equal to the Reapers in terms of mysteriousness (pre-ME3 days) and i'd hate for it to end up being one of those unexplored questions we never get an answer to :p
@@yank33yey That's so cool. My first playthrough was on launch. Played it hundreds of times since :-) (Though, gotta say, the Trespasser DLC is my favorite DLC in *any* game.) Have fun!
Hey! That was a very well done video! Nice visuals with simple and easy to follow Lore. Thanks. Look forward to anyother such Lore videos that you might bring. Peace
Great video as always. Disappointed choices from DAO and DA2 won't hold much weight in Veilguard. Also, to be in Tevinter and not being able to use blood magic is a bummer.
@@MrHulthen They could map out an expansion that brings in choices from DAO and DA2 while also allowing for an evil playthrough / blood magic. We are talking software. User feedback drives it as long as the dev team is receptive
I’m optimistic about the game, but I can’t find it in myself to blindly trust BioWare like that yet. Especially not when higher ups with little to do with the game have the pull they have, ie being able to decide on that horrendous reveal trailer that is reportedly universally despised by those actually having worked on the game which is a relief. I hope this game is good and it sells well, but with all the controversy idk man. I just want another Mass Effect 😪 😅
Really? I havent heard that before. I know Fiona was cured somehow, but even she doesn't seem to know herself, and last we heard about a living HoF is that they were off looking for a cure. I inhale lore for this series so if there is two known ways it's weird I've never heard them before lol. What are they and where did you find them??
@@bubblybobabubblesim not entirely sure what the first dude might be talking about but there are only two people (as far as I'm aware) who have survived/cured their taint, and its fiona and avernus. -- spoilers ahead -- you can even order avernus to continue his research on a possible cure and he comes up with something he calls the power of blood, but im not sure if bioware will ever expand on this because they seem to hate origins and the warden for some reason 😢
Andraste was a mage, half elf. Tranqulity can be cured, ritual to become a Templar does the same but removes it afterwards. Qunari were made from elven slaves forced fed dragons blood by human teviniter mages.
The ritual to become a seeker makes one tranquil, and then removes tranquility, not the ritual to become a templar. Becoming a seeker of truth is much harder, which is partly why there's so few of them.
Pretty sure the qunari being elf-dragons is only a theory and not actually confirmed in canon anywhere. I think the same is true for elf-blooded Andraste, at least I know I've only heard about that a couple times as a theory.

An impressive effort for MrMasseffect, who wasn't really into DA until a minute ago 😂

There’s a theory that the Golden City/Black City is actually the capital of Arlathan. And that Andraste was one of Mythal’s vessels.
I needed this small reminder, thank you!

I'm kinda hoping for a wicked disaster play through of DAV. I love playing a jerk
I hope DAV goes dark, like DAO/DA2. I loved DAI, but it was too optimistic
The scene in the playstation state of play trailer was very dark
Lore! Gimme *all* the lore!!! Great summary for those unfamiliar with the world of Thedas - or those who haven't played in a long time.
This is wonderful. More lore please.

Same here. It's my first play through
I kicked it off this weekend. Trying to go through without getting bogged down by all the filler side quests.

Unfortunate, I know. Hopefully the game is good enough to stand on it's own and enough to dampen the disappointment some will feel from that choice

replaying dragon age origin , dragon age 2 and inqusition at the moment im on dragon age 2 act 3 right now xD

From all the CC videos that I seen, I am 90% sure that I can make my Baldur's Gate 3 Character lol.
Hopefully I can also make a ok Minthara
I hope all my past choices carry over and morrigans kid is at least mentioned😣

I'm going into this expecting Veilguard to fail. That way, if it does do good enough for Bioware to survive, I'll be more than pleasantly surprised.

Then this is not your video. Why are you even here?

Don't care. No one should buy a Bioware game based on the crapshow and scam that was Anthem.
You cared enough to comment genius
If you want BioWare to fail, then why are you commenting on a BioWare-focused channel?
You shouldn't make your decision because a past game was bad. You should make your decision upon the quality of the current product.
Yeah by that logic companies like Capcom shouldn't have made RE 7 or 8 or RE2make because of RE6
@Hexenkind1 I mean, their last 2 games were bad. You really expect it to be different why?
