You and your fellow railroaders are the lifeblood of your railroad, just like it is the lifeblood of the communities it serves. Switch cars at industries. Keep people moving while running local passenger trains. Run trains with a purpose in transition era Appalachia - in Railroader!
Welcome back Kerbo. We have much freight to catch up on
Great video! Love the shunting conductor style with the AI, would be really cool to see some more and the difference in Run8! Keep up the good content, always chill to tune into
You have your interchange train come in blocked? I can understand that, as you've said you don't have all the time in the world for playing the game. I play with the grade above hostile, so that it takes about an hour and a half in the morning to sort it. Double head diesel running to the coal mine and Alarka. Steam pulls the rest 😁
It may not be prototypical, but when I'm building trains I just use engine brake.
Depends on the situation but we will build trains engine brakes only.
Imagine if you had to have a caboose on the end of train all the time. Would make all the switching even harder
Yep, that's why I don't have one. For me it adds nothing to the gameplay but extra time.
@@KerboOnYT It would be nice if there was some kind for monetary reward or better safety record if the caboose is used. I use mine just for fun.
Many early switch engines did not have speedos.
I wonder when the Devs will add actual diesel engine revving sounds. The overpowered electric motor sounds don't feel right. Thanks to that single issue I've sold off most of my diesels for steam equivalents.
Actually they do sound very much like the first gen engines they are. I used to watch a GP7 shift the local around in my city and it sounded just like these do also the E8s used on the pax trains sounded very similar
@@Michael-t3b5b The diesel engine sounds are too muted and they should make more smoke on run up. The SW1 and GP9 in game might as well be just electric locomotives. Old diesels are smokey & clattering affairs, these sound too modern.
