- Big day....sorry for the waffling. Hope I covered everything I needed to. Any questions or pointers feel free to comment below. Really Great to see people watching and subscribing.
Awsome job josh , hard work in the cold hope the sealer went off ok in the cold
I wouldn’t worry about that block work slightly out the glass is spot on level like you said build it up when you fit coping mine is slightly out also as I am not a builder but you can’t notice it
Spot on buddy all the best Jiffster 👍🏼👍🏼
Looking good👍. Very neat, tidy and clean👍. Keep up the good work👍😊🐟🈲
☺️ Thanks matey. 👍
Great update once again 👍 me personally would of put a bottom drain in a bottom drain always a must with these bloody koi ponds iv found keep up the good work 😎👍🐟
Cheers M'A'K'C'A 👌. Finding it difficult to believe people actually enjoy watching my videos and listening to me waffling on. I can tell i'm bringing pain to the eyes of the long time koi keepers by not intalling a BD. The old pond is spiralling out of control. Started off wanting to build some sort of water feature with the 70 blocks and few bags of cement I had left over from building the extension on the house. If I really get into the pond hobby i will knock down my shed and build a large workshop/filterhouse and of course, fit a bottom drain. Friendly buch you koi lot...i'll stick around for a bit. Take care mate
Looking good pal, pond build looks mint, love the dog 👌🏼
Hia matey 👍. Good bit of progression the last couple of days. Made the most of the sunshine. Busy week or two now so won't get much time on the pond.
Hi, just found your channel, pond looking great so far…..👍🏼
Cheers Andy. Yes, it's starting to take shape now 👍👍👍. All the best from Brizzle
Subscribed, nice pond build😀
Looking good 👍👍
excellent!!
Nice video , not sure about the silicone in the cold freezing weather, even with the heater. I've put my build on hold for the moment because of the weather.
Cheers David. I'm not sure either....but I'm going for it. 🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞
Very impressive josh ❤
Looking good . What size is the pond and window ?
Hi Paul. Window is 1800mm x 600mm and covers the block work by 50mm
How thick is the glass?
25mm
Great job are you going to use a retro bottom drain?
Eventually yes....want to get the whole thing up and running first then I'll purchase a retro bottom drain. All the best Derek 👍
Just came across your channel, build looking good. You have gone to a lot of trouble to get things right but no bottom drain. Worst mistake I made when I built mine. A year later I was draining down liner out cutting a channel in the base and install the bottom drain best move I made. Good luck
@Martin Gage for what reason did you decide to dig it all up and add the bottom drain? What was your setup prior to installing a bottom drain.
Cracking looking dog sir, wots his name.
His name is Opie. 7 year old Hungarian Vizsla. Chief chaser of cats, foxes and soon to be Herons! He sleeps a lot, eats a lot and also howls to the eastenders theme tune 👌
Yes mate love it, me own dogs loves to howl b4 her walk every night, she's a doberman runt ov litter but I wouldn't change her enjoy ponding sir
Im building one soon. What blocks did you use?
Standard 7nm blocks from Travis perkins. I laid them flat and my internal dimensions are 3m x 1.5m x 1.5m. Around 300 blocks
@@BrizzleKoi ok thank you. How do i work out how many blocks i will need. Hoping to build mine 8ft by 8ft by 5ft with a window like yours.
@Stefan Hedley draw it out on paper...block size is 440mm length x 215mm wide x 100mm height. Morter joints should be 10mm
@@BrizzleKoi ok cheers mate. Looks like im gunner get mad soon working it out😂😂
